Heath..do you remember what smoltzie said about suckliffe
Hope Medlin can hold it long enough to take Bennett out of the equation.
Chipper back to the light brown bat after using the black one first AB.
June 24th, 20098:08 pm
Chipper needs a hit in the worst way.
Bust his kneecap next time Chipper.

I am noticing that the board members are perking up fo KK, I figured that we all had some unreal expectations for KK initially. Now we know what he is and we changed our expectations. I am a big fan of Javy, D.Lowe, JJ, and Tommy Boy!
June 24th, 20098:10 pm
Good hit Chip! Home run time baby!
One could argue that KK has been better than JJ & Lowe this month. 9 straight starts allowing 3 runs or fewer. Thats pretty consistent.
Does Joba have the biggest cheeks ever on a human being?
Sutcliffe says McCann will get surgery in the off season.
June 24th, 20098:11 pm
I hope you boo’ed him, DOB.
I am with ya, McFann. Meden’s looking sharp.
June 24th, 20098:12 pm
It’s too bad you can’t unvote someone cause, uh, Teixeira sucks.
I don’t have very strong feelings for or against the lumberjack on the other hand.
rob from sc
Brooklyn Braves, KK has proven himself to be a very good big hype game pitcher, and even in his other starts he hangs around and settles in. I’m a fan.
Come on man.
Brian, you’ve disappointed me.
Mac doesn’t get fooled like that very often
June 24th, 20098:13 pm
The Pirates got Andy LaRoach in the Bay trade.
I’d have Chipper swipe one here. Joba’s slow to the plate.
Bobby Cox Hat Tipping Club
Just shows how perceptions differ. Medlin got them three up and three down and some here said it was a good inning. Yes it was a good inning with no baserunners. But two of those outs were shots off the bats of the Yanks. I actually hope Medlin has a little more than he showed that first inning.
Another reason why the rumors you hear about the Braves trading a starting pitcher during this season, while they’re still in the race, are most likely not coming from anyone connected to the team.
June 24th, 20098:14 pm
I’d like to see Chip come out here and make me tip my cap!
Really? I haven’t actually seen him yet tonight…
Loaf is back
the real Andy
gotta say – i don’t really want soriano to make the all-star team. the less work the better for him
Pathetic AB from Anderson. Did that even go 59 feet?
I was just thinking that, DOB. Who still wants to trade Vazquez?
I didn’t think Joba was this good
June 24th, 20098:15 pm
McFann – For his eye.
Casey get A HIT!
June 24th, 20098:16 pm
Finally PTV is working for me
June 24th, 20098:17 pm
Awfense showed up tonight…
I can’t Believe Joe And Chip Think Highly of this offense over the last 4 games…
The Offense is still Inconsistant…
That’s what I thought. (Guess you should have added a “duh”, I mean, what the else would he be having surgery on?)
Anyway, how does what’s-his-face know?
Brooklyn Braves Brawler-
Joba can be very, very good or very, very bad. Looks like good joba made the trip…
June 24th, 20098:19 pm
Medlen lets do 3 up 3 down
is it really necessary to say “offensive” when talking about hitting? Or is defensive hitting a new stat?

Joba Has Only Looked Good because He has that Juggernaut Bankees Offense Behind Him…
Put Him In a Braves Uniform He’d Have a Sub .500 Record…
I have to think the reason that Bobby mainly keeps sticking with KJ over Prado is because Prado is not fully healthy. Otherwise can’t see why.
June 24th, 20098:20 pm
Between innings on the huge video board, where they play Dream Weaver and show fans who look like characters from TV shows, they did Sopranos characters tonight. They showed a guy who looked a lot like Tony, particularly the body type and the outfit. Crowd got a kick out of that.
You’d think if you got booed in every stadium including your own and you’re not even playing that well that you’re probably a bitch.
A-Rod sucks. What a douche.
love how esco plays SS
A-Rod’s average is down to .204 after that out
June 24th, 20098:21 pm
joba walked 40 in 73 innings. none tonight.
McFann, I can paraphrase what Sutcliffe said:
He mentioned talking to McCann recently and he said something about wearing the glasses because that’s all he can do until the off season when he gets surgery.
Ha-Ha A-Rod you STINK!
Still 2-0 Rays after 4.
lol Mitchell tellin it like it is tonight.
June 24th, 20098:22 pm
He also has truck load of money doing that
Heath..he is just an announcer
I wonder if A-Rod’s teammates still call him b*tch t*ts?
They all look like Tony Soprano if you ask me.
By the way, let’s get some runs because we’re kicking their @$$e$ otherwise.
I didn’t like Medlen at first. I wanted to see Glavine on Tommy Hanson before he ever made a start but I gotta admit, he’s a baddass.
Sorry for the language.
RHR – only people whose intelligence I would question if I was the type to attack my dear friends on the blog (not that it was a bright idea before tonight).
June 24th, 20098:23 pm
Why does Joe Simpson seem so suprised to see a player with poor bat speed. Get gets to watch Jeff Francoeur every night.
Cy Medlen indeed.
Swisher swings hard just in case he hits it! LOL
Let’s get some flippin’ runs!!!!!!!!!!
wooooooo……Kris kicking some ass
June 24th, 20098:24 pm
Medlen, if you have not bought a house in ATL yet, go ahead lol
how do you guys and gals like my boy medlen now?
No hitter through 5!
RHR………it isnt that anyone “wants” to trade Vazquez. I have repeatedly stated over and over again that I think that he is a really good pitcher. He pitches a lot of innings, keeps the team in games, never gets hurts. What is there “not to like”.
However, the way our offense is set up now, there is NO WAY that the Braves can stay in this race. The Braves NEED some right handed power.
So knowing that, either the Braves keep the roster the way it is and “hope” that our starters can keep shutting the opponents out……..or………the Braves can trade our best prospects (because that is the only other way that the Braves can get a slugger if Vazquez isnt used as trade bait).
So RHR, let me ask you this. If the Braves dont trade any of our starting pitchers for a slugger…….how would you go about improving the offense?
By the way……….15 up, 15 down.
dont jinx the you know what
I wish the TV people would stop saying how poor the Yankees have hit lately . . . let the sleeping dogs lie. Sooner or later Jeff Bennet will enter this game . . .
Good pitch by Medlen for the strike out to end the inning.
Chip is doing his best to curse the P.G.
A grown man who carries a My Little Pony backpack just made you look foolish. Have a seat.
Our pitching is going from good to great. Can our hitting go from poor to average?
Holy Cow. Wow.
Let’s get some freakin’ runs for crying out loud. Kung Pow.
I don’t know.
dont jinz it
Skip is Acting like a Knob
If skip talks about the obvious one more time I am going to lose it!
June 24th, 20098:25 pm
Sorry Paul, I’m not taking questions tonight.
I’m getting the PTV broadcast…..what exactly did ESPN say about Escobar?????
Unknown…..not just no-hitter through 5……..PERFECT through 5.
June 24th, 20098:26 pm
He is still at it!!!!!! WTF?
A-Rod has hit eight of his nine homers at Yankee Stadium. Jeter has hit seven of his nine homers there, Damon has hit 10 of his 14 there, and Teixeira’s has hit 13 of his 20 homers there.
Steve from OH
Paul, who would you trade Vazquez for?
GO KM! HE IS ON FIRE! And Yankees you STINK! BYE
Frenchy! Hell yeah!
Frenchy hits a jack.
how did that happen
ATTA BOY JEFF!!!!!!
There’s your offense Who woulda thought…
HA! FRENCHY??!! damn
Did that just happen?
Not even Frenchy misses 2 hanging sliders!
WTF? THAT JUST HAPPENED!

I can hear it now………
OMG A HR FRANCOEUR!
What did I just say – that’s why we love him!
I’ll take it.
Well done Jeff. Okay, let’s get some more runs.
