I am noticing that the board members are perking up fo KK, I figured that we all had some unreal expectations for KK initially. Now we know what he is and we changed our expectations. I am a big fan of Javy, D.Lowe, JJ, and Tommy Boy!
Brooklyn Braves, KK has proven himself to be a very good big hype game pitcher, and even in his other starts he hangs around and settles in. I’m a fan.
Just shows how perceptions differ. Medlin got them three up and three down and some here said it was a good inning. Yes it was a good inning with no baserunners. But two of those outs were shots off the bats of the Yanks. I actually hope Medlin has a little more than he showed that first inning.
Another reason why the rumors you hear about the Braves trading a starting pitcher during this season, while they’re still in the race, are most likely not coming from anyone connected to the team.
Between innings on the huge video board, where they play Dream Weaver and show fans who look like characters from TV shows, they did Sopranos characters tonight. They showed a guy who looked a lot like Tony, particularly the body type and the outfit. Crowd got a kick out of that.
He mentioned talking to McCann recently and he said something about wearing the glasses because that’s all he can do until the off season when he gets surgery.
RHR – only people whose intelligence I would question if I was the type to attack my dear friends on the blog (not that it was a bright idea before tonight).
RHR………it isnt that anyone “wants” to trade Vazquez. I have repeatedly stated over and over again that I think that he is a really good pitcher. He pitches a lot of innings, keeps the team in games, never gets hurts. What is there “not to like”.
However, the way our offense is set up now, there is NO WAY that the Braves can stay in this race. The Braves NEED some right handed power.
So knowing that, either the Braves keep the roster the way it is and “hope” that our starters can keep shutting the opponents out……..or………the Braves can trade our best prospects (because that is the only other way that the Braves can get a slugger if Vazquez isnt used as trade bait).
So RHR, let me ask you this. If the Braves dont trade any of our starting pitchers for a slugger…….how would you go about improving the offense?
I wish the TV people would stop saying how poor the Yankees have hit lately . . . let the sleeping dogs lie. Sooner or later Jeff Bennet will enter this game . . .
A-Rod has hit eight of his nine homers at Yankee Stadium. Jeter has hit seven of his nine homers there, Damon has hit 10 of his 14 there, and Teixeira’s has hit 13 of his 20 homers there.

One could argue that KK has been better than JJ & Lowe this month. 9 straight starts allowing 3 runs or fewer. Thats pretty consistent.
