What does it take to get a defensive replacement in left field around here?
I think you gotta blame DOB for BMac’s bad game. I mean he comes out today and calls him one of the best offensive catchers of all time and he has a 3 strikeout game
Under the heading “Things that don’t make much sense” is this quote ^
Brooklyn Braves Brawler
Loaf is slower than molasses in the winter time
Francoeur has his best game in a LOOOOONG time and he decides to take him out in a double switch? It might not even matter with Mariano pitching, but, still…
June 24th, 200910:11 pm
heads up play esco!!!
rob from sc
hey, we didn’t screw that up
Nice job Esco. That’s how you throw the ball.
They shoulda called that a PB anyway, ya know, just to sorta put the cap on BMac perfect night…
JJ (WTH is Jeff Bennett still on the roster???)
Damn straight Esco!!! Make a big league play!!!
Good Throw By ESCO…
Finally a critical Defensive Play that We Didn’t F..k Up…
Nice play by Esco and McCann on that one. Not sure why he would be going on contact anyway…they lead by two and Rivera is pitching.
Oh wow…an out…
Esco has a gun!
Blocked That Plate!
Derek Jeter is the defintion of clutch.
That 2-1 pitch from Acosta was every bit as good as Mo’s first two pitches to KJ.
It’s the difference between a young pitcher and a HOF closer getting “respect” from the call.
I’m not so sure Cabrera was actually out at home. Looked like he slid in under the tag. Since were on the topic of bad calls.
Wow is McCann having a sh!t game.
June 24th, 200910:12 pm
F***** that up though
Shytty Night For B-Macc, Nuff Said!
Holy jeez. Bad night B-Mac.
Our defense is just horrible this year.
OMG!!!!!!!! WTF HEAP? I agree Andy.
Well, McFann, there’s your “perfect” night.
then we throw the ball in center
TBF(n)K as Billy
just a bad game by McCann happens to the best dont yall start knocking him
Escobar sucks defensively in the clutch
Esco should have caught that
There we go. Still within two if we can get out of it.
Keep hope alive. Cut down on those wild pitches Manny.
Gee, I was just about to say don’t let him steal. I wasn’t even really think about that. Terrible.
OUR Defense BLOWS!!! And Has for 3 years!!!
But, of course according to Joe – it’s Esco’s fault. As usual.
that was a lazy play by Yunel…not a great throw but he should have been able to stop that
All the mistakes we’ve made tonight and Joe goes off on Esco.
WHAT THE FREAKING DEVIL????????????
Game is over for sure
June 24th, 200910:13 pm
same old ****
We could get Pujols in our offense and it wouldn’t matter if we keep playing sloppy this often!!
Another run we give them!
Son of a Beotch
I think I just threw up in my mouth!
that would have been a homer in yankee stadium..
They bitch all the time about not coming in front of the base and Joe says Escobar should have.
We have had about 20 mental mistakes in this game and Joe calls out Escobar..Joe can kiss my @$$!!!!
McCann hardly throws anybody out. Let’s be honest. He’s a great hitter but an average defensive catcher.
Gotta love Jeter and his hustle on that SB, pretty much manufactured that run all by himself. Well, along with Macs bad throw.
Just end this now geez-we need tomorrow whatr a choke tonight-gn
Chip really does get excited about the Yankees huh? I usually just tune it out, but wow its gotten past annoying.
June 24th, 200910:14 pm
Damn this team. Damn them all.
And was it really a great idea to trot out a pitcher who hasn’t pitched in 6 months in a tight game in the 9th? Eh. Whatever.
It’s all Joba’s fault for the loss to be quite honest. Kawakami was dealing.
What the hell else can they do wrong??
this still falls on bobbys shoulders for bringing in the waste of space bennett
Signing out – Peace.
It was a joke you idiot. Get a sense of humor.
Acosta looks like crap, guess that happen when you pitch twice a month
Pack it in. Someone let the Braves back on the field.
I guess we now know why Cox didn’t bring in Acosta earlier.
Maybe that’s why we didn’t bring Acosta in before.
Ah…screw it. I’m going to bed.
Yesterday was an example how a good bullpen pitches.
Tonight is how a bad one pitches: Medlen, Bennett, O’Flaherty, and now Acosta have ALL given up runs.
Steve from OH
Oops, there goes that Tex compling stats again. What a bum. Hope he never gets an HOF vote.
WTF is Chip talking about “manufacturing a run?”
We gave them that run with our piss poor D for cryin’ out loud!!
With Frenchie in right field, that doesn’t happen.
This is the worst game I’ve seen McCann play. Hope he can put it behind him quickly.
the fat lady

WHO WANT MANNY NOW! Tex with another meaningless RBI
The Braves have found so many ways to give the game to the Yankees tonight. Collective effort tonight. Errors, wild pitches, bad throws, not running to cover the bag, lol.
Now a bad relay there.
I guess that is why you dont see Acosta put in tight situations.
What a way to give batting practice to the Yankees and help them out of their slump lol-good job Acosta,Benett ,Irishman
Neight Gotta love Jeter and his hustle on that SB
I DO NOT!!
To tell you the truth I don’t care how many runs Acosta gives up….he hasn’t pitch in about 2 weeks!
There’s a prime example of a Tex hit with little to no impact on the game. Mariano Rivera on the mound? This game was over when KJ struck out.
But there is Tex to knock in a run. Go figure. Rack em up my man. Rack em up.
Figured Acosta would struggle…Cox hasn’t used him in 10 days, what do you expect?
Everyone sucked today. The end.
June 24th, 200910:16 pm
What happened to this game?
Oh, that’s right. The Braves had to use relievers others than Soriano, Moylan and Gonzalez. Whenever that’s the case, unfortunately for the Braves, it’s a crapshoot.
That, and mental lapses after things came undone.
It starts with Bobby Cox and Jeff Bennett.. then trickles down to everyone else who got screwed over by them being alive.
You guys wanted Acosta in and look what happens. Fact is, this bullpen blows. Anybody other than Soriano or Gonzo and its a safe bet they are giving up runs.
At least a positive that can come from this is that the important guys in our bullpen will be fresh tomorrow, lol.
Sunny Side u[
We had a bad game tonight, just get it off our minds and come back tomorrow. the interference call, Swishers HR bouncing off the yellow line. Sometimes it’s just not in the cards. I don’t post here often because I know people are bandwagon fans and will jump off but get down the TED TOMOROW AND SUPPORT YOUR BRAVES. Lets beat the pants off the yankees tomorow
You know what, with D Lowe on the mound tomorrow lets just get all the ugliness out in this game. Joe Simpson picking on Esco with all the crap we’ve done tonight. Way to pick on a guy when he’s down. This team as a whole tonight has sucked. Don’t call out one person. Give credit to all the guilty parties. Only people who really haven’t messed up is Nate and Frenchy. Great Night for them both.
My final post of the night….KICK THE BUM JEFF BENNETT OFF THIS TEAM. That is all. GNight folks.
Sure guys this team is winning NL East Sell Sell Sell Sell
Aside from Bennett every other inning has included a mental lapse…
Should let Mariano bat and nail him ~_~
I think you need to just go to bed and forget about this one.
Fear who else is he going to bring in? idiot
June 24th, 200910:17 pm
Other Than Francine (Finally) And Kamakaze…The Braves Played All Aspects of the Game Like A AAA team tonight, Hence the Score
For those of you calling GARRETT ANDERSON “LOAF,” I would disagree. He gives all of the appearance of an aging ball-player whose legs are gone. When we cut him in the off-season, and IF he signs with another team. then consistantly runs down routine flys like the one he allowed to fall for a double, well, that’s when I’ll call him “LOAF.” He’s just over-the-hill.
BOBBY has put DIAZ in to bat in the ninth. He rakes left-handers, and is BC’s best option in that situation. U-u-h, RIVERA IS a lefty isn’t he?
Tomorrow is the season for me-win that one and there is hope-no and it’s over. imo Good night
DOB: drop the shoot….it’s just crap
Winning this series is about 50/50 right now.
Pettitte has pitched 6 games on the road and has given up only 12 runs in 38 and one third innings. And Lowe hasn’t exactly been “ace” like his past 2 starts.
To those bashing joe:
Escobar is a lazy sob. Was it a great throw by mccann? No. Should it have been stopped? Effing YES
Mariano gonna hit!
June 24th, 200910:18 pm
And this game had so much promise after 2 2/3 innings.
Even if I slept for 10 years I’d have a hard time forgetting this one.
And who’s gonna get the freaking loss? Medlen.
Gotta give a hand to Frenchy tonight…
And just as I say that, EPSN shows him chatting to Hanson. Frenchy looks pretty happy for himself…not a clue in the world we’re losing 8-4
Tonight is a night BMac would like to forget….
Wren In Doubt
Seems like old times – another meaningless RBI for Tex.
Ultimately the outcome of this game isn’t relevant. The info needed, is whether KK is gonna be OK. Because he was starting to come around again.
June 24th, 200910:19 pm
Now we know why Cox doesn’t throw Acosta too much…
Yeah its over, just leave him hanging out there Bobby. No need in wasting another arm.
We flat out handed the Yanks the win tonight, with some big time help from the ump. They pretty much handed us the win last night with all the runners they left stranded, so…
The only thing I’ve learned tonight?
The umps are out to screw the Braves. That’s all Joe and Chip seem to be focused on.
If Rivera gets a hit, the Braves should just pack it in for the rest of the season.
They are still crying about the interference call
I suppose Joe is blaming our bullpen implosion and defensive suckiness on the interference call too…
Edward( Bobby Retires after 2009 or Bust )
Acosta pitched like 10 days ago. Same time Medlen pitched. In the meantime, they’ve had guys like Soriano and Gonzo pitching in 8-2 games….we definitively need new skipper on this team…please retire..for your own sake…
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
