WOW THIS IS REMINDING ME OF THE 90S-THE EXCITEMENT!
At least we got 2 back.
And had Bobby not put Bennett back out there it would be a TIE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 24th, 20099:26 pm
So, who will be pitching next?
Alright Braves bullpen, whoever gives up as much as a run in the next two innings can expect a pink slip!

We all know Bennett sucks. Blame the manager for letting him anywhere near the mound.
So glad Bennett came back to pitch the 7th. Love that extra run he gave them.
Have to keep it at 1.
I would like to see Acosta here.
Mclouth almost had that
never going to win
eight down the middle and he pops it up. 9th inning is francine’ shelly and some random fan. Game over. Way to go losers. Losing streak starts here, we are too close to 500 anyway
June 24th, 20099:27 pm
The swisher hr is really sucking now lol
Whoever it is better come correct, Soph. I’m guessing Moylan but you never know with Bobby.
Just need to hold ‘em here and try to squeeze a run or two next time. Hey, the team is playing well, but Kawakami’s lazer to the neck really hurt because he looked awesome and I don’t think the Yankees score 4 off of him tonight.
lets get something going
Geez, please no more Bennett. After this game he should try somebody else like Acosta. He is costing us big time this game and he lost the last game for us in Boston.
come on now, Bennett, all star… vote early, vote often…
Now if we can hold them in the top of the 8th, then with the big boppers coming up, one swing will tie the game.
I really like McLouth. Right now, I think he is our best hitter (hitting like our best hitter……I still feel Chipper is our best player, he just isnt driving the ball like McLouth is right now). The Braves made an absolute steal when they fleeced McLouth from the Pirates.

Alright DOB, the offer is up to $1500.
The Abs Man
Bobby Brain Dead. His name. He is a disgrace. A total foul odor.
Jeff Bennett pitches the NEXT INNING after he screws up. Abd throes a gopher ball.
Bobby Cox is a fatal disease. And there is no cure.
Steve from OH
Whoa, that’s not what you said, N8! You said he accumulates stats when it doesn’t matter–clearly that’s not true. Whether his team is up 4 runs or down 1, he hits about the same. His highest OPS is actually with RISP and 2 outs. And his career OPS split in May is .925. In March/April it’s only .781 (still above-average), which I’ll agree isn’t great for him. But isn’t putting up a .980 career OPS in August and a .997 career OPS in September “clutchier” than one in April? Doesn’t A-Rod get lambasted for that?
Sorry man, just because he didn’t perform for the first 2 months of 2008 doesn’t mean he’s not clutch or anything like that. To me, it’s just a case of people trying to find a fault in an otherwise wonderful player (hits for AVG/OBP/SLG, plays a great 1B, and IS CLUTCH).

In all fairness Soriano was warming up before McCann’s HR made it a for run game. Relievers say if they warm up they should pitch.
I get your point but I disagree………..Thats precisely why you have a thinking manager and not a robot. You have to think about tomorrow………..you think you wasted soriano if he doesnt pitch? I dont think so……..
Give me a better reason that …….. you warm up you pitch………….that just aint true.
Besides………..what is Bennett doing in a close game? ??
Give me one freaking reason…………….
Where is Acosta? he has pitched much better………..even bobby cox would have been a better option to get to the hill………
It is just crazy to make the call to bennett.
Bennett should only pitch in the following situations:
1. Braves winning by 3 or more runs
2. Braves losing by 3 or more runs
3. Close games if there is no other pitcher available, meaning with this that all the other relievers have pitched or that there is no other reliever available because of back to back appearances.
4. When braves get eliminated from the race.
Hmmm…EOF. I dunno. I may be wrong but he’s been kinda iffy lately.
Oflaherty lets keep em’ down
Brooklyn Braves Brawler
Irish is in, will face Damon and Tex
They don’t put names on the back of the jerseys because when you become a Yankee, a part of you dies.
As much as I want to win, I am glad Kawakami is not injured.
Now for a serious question, is it an organizational problem that so many of our pitchers look scared to death at the first sign of trouble. Kyle Davies, Jo Jo Reyes, Charlie Morton, and now Medlen. Reyes and Medlen have good stuff. We need to help them before it is too late
That may have been an upper deck shot at that place…
Mel on a car phone
How many more times are the Braves going to trot Bennett out there? He’s awful and even worse w/inherited runners.
We need to turn our frustration towards this clown on peachtree. Boog should be calling this game with joe. This guy who will remain nameless just works for tbs not the braves. He is one of those guys that loves the Yankees, Boston, etc…. Bring the redhead in for good!!!!
June 24th, 20099:29 pm
gee chip, thanks for the yankees history lesson.
dont walk him
Call me crazy, but I don’t see Bennett back on the mound as a Brave ever again. I’ve been wrong more than once so don’t count on it.
WTF Kotchman is lazy
Give me a … break.
what the hell was that?
TBF(n)K as Billy
Bennet should be mop up only…
You wouldnt belive it but every time ive seen bennet wheather on tv or live which hasnt been much but he has given up a run every time
WTF idiots. Christ on a cracker.
June 24th, 20099:30 pm
WTF was Kotchman doing?
WTF was that? Casey? EOF? SOMEONE?
I predict Jeff Bennett will pitch a “no-runner” someday…
Bench Kotchman and O’Flaherty.
Another Mental Error!!! ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
that was inexcusable
Bad play by Casey
JJ (WTH is Jeff Bennett still on the roster???)
What a freaking boneheaded play.
Uh Rob? Kotchy can’t get the ball AND cover 1st. That was on EOF.
PI$$ POOR right there!
Gotta cover first, whether you’re in bad fielding position because of your delivery or not
Teams take on the personality of their manager, that is why so many of our players suck.
kotchman has not impressed me
Send Eric O’Fagerty with Bennett, these guys cant pitch.
June 24th, 20099:31 pm
Kotchman take that yourself
Does left handed specialist mean you can’t get lefties out? I totally had that one backwards
There’s some more stinky defense for the Braves. O’Flaherty fails to cover first on a grounder to the first baseman.
Bobby what did you boys do in Spring Training? Fishing, Golf, getting drunk.
i guess kotchman will get pulled this inning, right bobby
Bobby Cox Hat Tipping Club
Seemed to be a brain fart there.
If the Yanks have a big inning on the pen, the Braves rally last inning will be a moot point.
those plays usually end of costly …
Im sorry this is nooooooooottttttttttttttttt a playoff team
We really deserve to lose after that little league play.
O’Flaherity has looked awful the past few weeks. I got a bad feeling about this inning.
Cox giving up on this game. Where is Acosta
ok it’s falling apart now
why didn’t CK take that, he had the play in front of him and had to see what was happening
GET HIM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Needs a miracle to get out of this.
Now the wheels come off!
Passed ball or wild pitch advances the runners.
EOF is turning into a pumpkin
well…has anyone watched the move the hangover
This is not looking good.
Game Over!!! The Braves Tease Us Again…!
June 24th, 20099:32 pm
Horrible -fight way back into game and defense blows it. This is why attendance sucks-they are a tease!
Wheels are coming off now….
Robinson Cano sucks.
Now im a McLouth believer………….
We are set on the 1st 4 spots of the lineup.
As some have pointed out..I would put CK 2nd and yunel 5th………GA 6th.
Braves are playing some heap bad baseball right now.
you may not have allowed a run … yet … but pack your bags Flaherty, you’re outta here!
Yes, because walking a .200 hitter always makes sense. Good luck with that.
Escobar is starting to look like a martyr now. He had to suffer for not only his sins but the sins of others. Guess Esco isn’t the only one who can do “lackadaisical” things.
The Braves need another arm..or two, in the pen.
This is funny now. And, it’s about to get super-ugly.
Cox blame yourself
June 24th, 20099:33 pm
What a joke.
KJ is right…
He was in the baseline! HE WAS! Actually, I didn’t even really see it. Ya’ll tell me.
Mets 8-0 over Cards
Where was he going to throw it?
the espn announcers sure seem to slurp all over the blessed yankees..
Why is Kelly Johnsoon playing
June 24th, 20099:34 pm
WTF DOES IT TAKE TO GET AN INTERFERENCE CALL
the hope of the braves nation rests in your hands mr hanson
that hurts. big time.
