Jeff Bennett is the Mark Teixeira of pitchers. He racks up decent stats when it doesn’t matter, but when you need him to actually come through in a big spot, forget about it. Not gonna happen.
I will disagree with you on this until the day I die. Tex has been very good in pretty much every situation you could ask for. His OPS is above .900 in every situation–RISP/2 outs, late&close, w/in 1,2,3,4, runs, whatever. He’s just good. This knock on him has no substance.

No, I believe the only bias Bobby has on record is against those hailing from Moldavia. Fortunately for him, no one here has heard of or cares about Moldavia, so he’s gotten away with that relatively scot-free.

Why is Acosta not being used a little more? Bennett has been hit hard all year and Acosta has been pretty solid since being called back to Atlanta. You just can’t keep throwing Bennett out there with the game on the line.

I know.. that’s what I hate about frickin bias. And it’s not just the Yankees either. There are other players that act like Escobar…but they are not bashed like him…by his own Manager ( Bobby didn’t really bash per se but it wasn’t good) or TV announcers.

I can’t figure out if I’m more pissed at Jeff Bennett or the washed up HOFer. On the one hand, Jeff Bennett is a scrub pitcher that couldn’t get a one-armed blind man out. But it ain’t his fault the HOFer keeps telling him to go out there.
I mean, I guess he’s doing all he can. He just sux and is limited by his incredible inability to pitch. The ole HOFer, however, keeps trotting him out there like he’s freaking mariano rivera. That pisses me off.

This just goes to show what the Braves have to look forward to when we dont shut the other team down. Our offense really lacks consistent power (particularly consistent right handed power).
