And apparently Jeff Bennett has a photo of them he’s threatening to post on the internet.
Because blackmale is the ONLY reason that he should be on this 25 man roster.
There’s an old saying. Momentum is only as good as your next starting pitcher.
There’s another saying. Your team is only as strong as your weakest link. Which is true. But MOST managers of MLB teams ‘hide’ that weakest link as the 12th guy out of the bullpen or 13th guy on the bench.
Not Bobby Cox. Nope. He brings that weak link in to hang an 0-2 slider to Arod with the bases loaded.
It’s unfortunate that KK got hurt, because he was on a roll. But if the Braves lose. It’s SQUARELY on Bobby’s shoulders. Period.
And they can thank the umpire at 1B that the lead isn’t bigger.

I rewound it 5 times to make sure. It was a FREAKING FASTBALL down the middle of the plate. If A-Rod wasnt in a slump, he would have hit that baby for a grand slam.
In a way, I guess that we are lucky that he only got a 2-run single. there. Should have been a grand slam.

Slider, fastball, split-finger, spit-ball. WHATEVER the hell it was, it was too “good” of a pitch on an 0-2 count.
Jeff Bennett is the Mark Teixeira of pitchers. He racks up decent stats when it doesn’t matter, but when you need him to actually come through in a big spot, forget about it. Not gonna happen.
