But congrats to the Yankees on doing something special. They knock out our starting pitcher(literally) and pick on the bottom half of our bullpen. They are so great. I learn something new everyday when I watch tem play.
And apparently Jeff Bennett has a photo of them he’s threatening to post on the internet.
Because blackmale is the ONLY reason that he should be on this 25 man roster.
There’s an old saying. Momentum is only as good as your next starting pitcher.
There’s another saying. Your team is only as strong as your weakest link. Which is true. But MOST managers of MLB teams ‘hide’ that weakest link as the 12th guy out of the bullpen or 13th guy on the bench.
Not Bobby Cox. Nope. He brings that weak link in to hang an 0-2 slider to Arod with the bases loaded.
It’s unfortunate that KK got hurt, because he was on a roll. But if the Braves lose. It’s SQUARELY on Bobby’s shoulders. Period.
And they can thank the umpire at 1B that the lead isn’t bigger.
Folks, it was a fastball. A very badly located fastball. It was belt high and caught the middle of the plate. You should know better than to listen to Chip on ANYTHING!
First off to the Hall of Fame Manager of ours. Use Moylan, why get beat with your 5th best reliever. And Acosta is better than Bennett.
Second Braves front office. send Medlen and Reyes to a confidence building class. Medlen was cruising. 2 outs, gives up a HR and it all falls apart. Get tougher
All agreed about what’s been said about Bennett, he needs to be cut after the game, if not sooner…now, it is time for a comeback, no more tucking our tail between our legs after Bennett’s numbskull pitching. Pitching IQ must be quite low
Medlen must has a mental problem. He was going along just fine until that HR. It’s almost like he’s just waiting around for the other shoe to drop, so to speak, when someone gets to him.
I rewound it 5 times to make sure. It was a FREAKING FASTBALL down the middle of the plate. If A-Rod wasnt in a slump, he would have hit that baby for a grand slam.
In a way, I guess that we are lucky that he only got a 2-run single. there. Should have been a grand slam.
That is what cox problem is he sticks with the players too long. If i was cox i would have prado instead of Johnson. Atleast prado is not an automatic out. Bennet the same problem.
I swear it’s like the HOFer doesn’t even try to win these damn games. How many freaking times can you go to Jeff Bennett in a big situation with the game on the line, have him blow it every freaking time, and then…..in a move of pure genious, decide it’s a good idea to GO TO HIM AGAIN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Someone, ANYONE, please explain this to me!!!!!!!!
Slider, fastball, split-finger, spit-ball. WHATEVER the hell it was, it was too “good” of a pitch on an 0-2 count.
Jeff Bennett is the Mark Teixeira of pitchers. He racks up decent stats when it doesn’t matter, but when you need him to actually come through in a big spot, forget about it. Not gonna happen.
Bennett, like Francoeur and Johnson are Bobby’s boys. He protects his favorites. Bennett will be right back out there to blow the game. He doesn’t forgive Acosta for struggling because he pitched everyday. Cox can’t manage a bullpen
Oh…well, here’s a bright idea. Let’s run him back out there so we can get down 6-1 and then bring in Soriano for mop up duty. STUPID LITTLE PIECE OF CRAP!!!!! He did it again.
They say players are done…can a manager be done? We have a rotten egg on the team and he sits and picks his nose in the dugout. Absolutely uncalled for bringing in your worst reliever in that spot. And he gives up another one! WOW!! Bennett, start looking for another job, because you fat boy, ain’t no pitcher.
Last night………..game out of reach…………he puts Soriano…………tonight game on the line, he brings bennett……………….
I mean……….you can hate bennett cause he is a loser…………but man……….you can bring a better pitcher ………..bring acosta, bring oflaherty…………if they dont respond and we fall behind…………then it is Bennetts time to play.
This guy just suck………….and excuse me for the word, I have never written that word, but there is not better time to start than tonight……………release the guy……….he is worse than Boyer…………much worse.
