GAndy loafing after a ball and then lobs it back in.
nice play tommy
And here I was thinking that by watching the Braves tv broadcast I could avoid the Derek Jeter Love Fest 2009! but apparently I was mistaken. Here’s hoping tomorrow’s game isn’t blacked out on Peachtree…if it is I might explode
What's Hanson's velocity?
I’ve seen 91-93 touching 94 with a below average curve and average slider. Third starter stuff, command and control.
Schafer in center and McLouth in left, and Jeter out at second or stuck at first.
Ok RHR Wong is up again…..

So when Escobar makes mental mistakes he gets benched as punishment, but when Kelly makes mental mistakes he gets a pat on the @$$ and a “better luck next time”?
Hmmmmmmmm. . .
the hope of the braves nation rests in your hands mr hanson
i wrote this in the old blog on accident but if kelly wouldnt have been sulking he would have beaten that out easy…. just plain sucks.
hanson meanwhile is having big trouble locating his fastball….he is nowhere close. set up the double play.
Come on DP please.
June 23rd, 20097:57 pm
page 7 flew by, thanks to KJ, you fin idiot
GA is still DH’ing. He just doesn’t know it yet.
two on for a-rod
I can’t tell if Hanson is pitchin-around people…or just wild…and THAT’S… not a good thing
Come on Hanson settle down…damn man you can do it.
Hey Im 36,,,,,,,,,,I can still run and fast…………whats wrong with Jeter and GA??????? whats wrong with todays athletes…………if we can call them that.
No offense, but if Hanson is ou best pitching prospect, I’d hate to see the other ones like Rohrbough, etc. He’s gonna be good because he has great stuff, but his control his, uh, bad.
Sounds like a great way to spend a birthday I’m still waiting for my first…and I am fully expecting some awesome drunken ramblings later
Canadaian braves fan
vote Johnson to be traded at http://www.newblogofbraves.blogspot.com
June 23rd, 20097:58 pm
he throws really hard
Here I am!
Am I supposed to be positive or negative? I’m not good at the maths.
TBF(n)K as Billy
who’d thought hanson would rather face ARoD
Will the tag team of Cox&Chipper give KJ a dropkick after the game? How about seeking out AJC reporters to push a snarky quote? Or will it be more hypocrisy where Yunel gets a spanking but others slide on by?
Here comes Cheaty McCheater
McFann thanks for your support on my blog
He doesn’t have it today.
June 23rd, 20097:59 pm
Loaf doesn’t have time for such things as fielding..he is a professional hitter
nice K on A-rod
McCann sure isn’t having a good night behind the plate.
Gawd The Bankees Are Running At Will On Hanson and B-Macc!!!
I’m sorry, but McCann’s defense sucks, WAYYYYYY overrated on D
Another reason why Ross should be catching.
Mcfann..are you napping..
I guess the yankees watch espn and saw the report on MCcann
mcann wouldnt have gotten jeter but could have gotten tex there….
Rock The Vote!
So…what happens if we vote for Johnson to be traded? If the result is “no” do we go all Iran on Turner Field?
Has Hanson even thrown to FIRST?????????????
I mean there are runners over there….
Bobby Cox Hat Tipping Club
So is Hanson EVER going to pay attention to a runner on base?
rob from sc
HANSON is a STUD

TOMMY CAN YOU HEEEAR ME?
That a boy.
Nice We Will Take That…! Offense Come On!!!
cabravesfan – your wish is my command (but I know I’ll hate myself in the morning). And again, our boy Tommy is making it work!
Tommy Hanson living DANGEROUSLY
Way to get out of trouble. I’m still P’d off about Kelly though. Reminds me of the dropped pop-out from last year.
Yankees lead baseball in HR, yet they have 3 SB tonight……………thats baseball……….bring Girardi to ATL.
Good job Thomas.
Jeter’s got 15 steals. Pretty impressive for a cat his age.
another close one….we can’t keep playing russian roulette with these guys.
Boy Hanson is good at getting out of jams. Atleast he’s got that going for him tonight. His control still hasn’t settled in.
If Kelly Johnson had been busting his tail out of the box immediately upon hitting that ball off the plate, he would have easily beat out that chopper. I rewound that play and say that he stood there, then looked up, and then started running. The ball was in the air 2-3 seconds before he started running.
It is the lack of good, baseball instincts that is killing the Braves. The announcers on t.v did not say anything about it. Hustle is something that cannot be taught. Either you have it in your heart, or you dont.
If Kelly had ran immediately upon contact (if the ball goes foul, he can always walk back and bat again), then not only would the Braves be up 1-0, but it would have gotten the pitcher out of the way and you’d have McLouth leading off instead of Hanson.
Go Iran on turner field…what the hell does that even mean
Is it “official”…that Heap can outrun Loaf…???
June 23rd, 20098:01 pm
Little Miss Muffet
Hey, do-do head, who overrates McCann’s defense? All I ever hear is people talkin’ about how much it [stinks]! Shut up…
You’re welcome, Canadian Braves Fan.
Rock the vote
no but it is time for him and Jeff to go
No mention of kj on pny in ny either. Just “great play by wang”
You know I’m surprised more teams haven’t pitched around Tex to get to Arod…he may be dangerous but he’s hitting worse than Frenchy.
June 23rd, 20098:02 pm
That is one thing you can count on with GA. If the ball is hit directly at him or in his general direction, he will catch it most of the time.
Doc Holiday, the Yankees have the players (and the ballpark) where they can steal and hit for power.
LOL @ McFann…do-do head. You cracked me up.
CY wang looks good
June 23rd, 20098:03 pm
He hasn’t thrown over there much…and he just ignored the guy on second. Ya know, just ’cause they’re already in scoring position…
We have already seen the usual suspects show up tonight. The cancers of this team–Frenchy’s impetuous bull%$£^ with men on base, KJ’s idiocy, and even BMac’s poor defense behind the plate (luckily that bobbled ball didn’t come back to haunt us there). These are the reasons we aren’t 5 games over .500. STUPID STUPID STUPID and very avoidable mistakes.
Atleast if they both stay like that, we dont have to deal with that contract
Wang had a decent outing his last time out… I was afraid of this.
June 23rd, 20098:04 pm
Mclouth is a beast
Cy Wang looks good tonight.
If that ball goes to 2nd, chances are CDJ comes home and possibly scores…might have been a blessing in disguise that Mac dropped it.
You are allowed a free pass tonight (at least from me- as for the other bloggers, you are on your own there…)
GA always catches with two hands … nice to see
I’m not one bit surprised that Wang will have his best game of season tonight
WTF, where is Ross? McCann blows and needs to be traded
how the heck is CC wearing a sweatshirt?
June 23rd, 20098:05 pm
If Yunel pulls that same crap that Kelly did he is already out of the game. Sorry, I can’t let it go.
that was nasty
Soph..lol is so 2002
He ain’t no Cy, let’s go!
June 23rd, 20098:06 pm
Is it early to say Wang is going to win his 1sdt game of the season against our pathetic offense?
so it can cover ALL of his fat
nice yunel….make KJ the bat boy
June 23rd, 20098:07 pm
Chipper might strain his wrist if he has to tip his hat one more time
Chipper hit a Homer
Lets be honest. Bobby Cox loves Francoeur and Johnson and in his eyes they can do no wrong. On the other hand Cox hates Escobar and will bench him any chance he gets.
Good AB Tommy.
Let’s go Chipper! Let’s see a gapper!
Go Esco…steal 2nd.
Paul Lentz –
I notcied the same thing: Neither Joe nor Caray made one mention of KJ’s lack of instinct and hustle after that play. Joe was too bust lavishing praise upon Kelly for his two walks last night. WOW – 2 walks. Put him in the hall of fame now.
How’d did I know that we’d get dominated by the worst pitcher in baseball
I always get a laff…when late in the game…Diaz enters the game in LF…for DEFENSIVE purposes !!!
CorkylikesBeer – and, your point is…?
do do head? Really? What are you 12? Man up, McCann does nothing right Defensively, teams love to run on that weak arm of his
June 23rd, 20098:08 pm
I knew we shot our offensive load with 2 runs last nght
some bad looking clouds over the Ted.
dogsbrekky skunked on Chianti Classico
