Those who’ve asked about Medlen, I asked Bobby Cox about it today and he said there just hasn’t been the situation arise lately because the starters have gone deep into games, etc.
He said he’s looking forward to getting him back in a game and would put him in a close game without hesitation.

Tex doesn’t deserve to get booed…Everybody knew or should have known that we had no chance in blue hell to sign him once he reached free agency…he played well for Atlanta…we just had a lot of injuries and our pitching staff wasn’t the greatest while he was with us…or at least as good as it is now

You my friend have no idea why he got booed….It’s not because he didn’t do well it’s just the…well you know….He seemed to bad mouth ATL when he left..that’s why some people don’t like him…I loved him while he was here…now I can’t stand him…..has nothing to do with being a Yankee or leaving us…just don’t like his attitude.

Jeff Francoeur (Braves) – The Braves still might have had a shot at getting a prospect for Francoeur a month ago. Now they’d be lucky just to find someone to take his salary without having to accept a similar contract back. Interestingly, he’s gone from posting a 23/1 K/BB ratio in May to a 6/7 this month, but he’s remained just as useless.

The Atlanta faithful boo almost every single player that leaves the organization through free agency…I was in attendence when Maddux mad ehis first return to Atlanta and you know what it was 50/50…FOR MADDUX…Same for Glavine…and yes I understand because he was a Met…But it just happened to Tex…Its happened to Sheffield and so on and so forth…its nothing new!!!
You want to see class…look at what the Red Sox fans did for Derek Lowe when he excited the game on Saturday…gave him a standing ovation…classy…very clasy

Powell is a definite Braves fan. I hope we get to listen to him for a long time. Sometimes he really reminds me of Uecker (guess he should after workin with him for so long).

They cheered Lowe because he helped win their first world series in how long? They cheered for Maddux to my recollection and his last visit here I believe he got a standing ovation from the crowd. Glavine with the Mets was a different story but Braves definately know how to show class.

Bobby’s Cox-
I didn’t know that Prado had played so much 2nd base in the minors…kinda suprised me. He has actually played more at 3rd in the majors then at 2nd (it’s like 58 to 43 or something like that…) and, to me at least, just seems more comfortable there when fielding(I know I’ve said that like 4 times already
). I do like Prado- and I like his versitility a lot.
