Miller is throwing a 1 hitter in FLA but is tied 1-1 with Baltimore. Florida has 9 hits to Baltimore’s 1.
Marlins do have the bases juiced though in the 7th. 1 out….

They compared how many homeruns the Braves have hit vs. the Yankees and the only thing I could think was are you serious. We would probably have 3 times more home runs right now if our home field played like the new Yankee Stadium.

Escobar has two hits plus several good base running plays tonight; in the field he is very good, in fact too good for Chipper who can not believe he stopped a ball and could have gotten a runner (oops, larry dropped that one. Meanwhile, KJ has been the new Loaf. If only he could hit as well as the real Loaf.

Shamus, if I remember Tex played a reasonable amount of the spring games for us. Some players take a longer time to groove their swing. I never saw Tex jake it, in spring or the regular season.

Damn, I just noticed that the next game I get to see the Braves play in high definition (Even though I have the MLB Extra Innings Package on Direct TV, I prefer to see the game with the Braves announcers). The next 3 games are on PeachtreeTV, which doesnt have a high definition channel option on Direct TV. The Saturday afternoon game is on Fox (I live in San Francisco and they are going to show the Cubs-White Sox game).
However Sunday’s game will be televised on FoxSportsSouth in high definition.
Are you guys who live in Atlanta able to view PeachTree TV in high definition?

Rob from Sc – then you have no idea what it’s like to determine your true worth, so you have no standing in this discussion. If the Braves could have offered something close, then fine, but we traded him because we could never have come close to his market value, especially with Scott Boras as his agent. It is absurd to blame him – that doesn’t mean you have to like him, but I knew when we got him in the trade that there was virtually no chance we could offer him enough money to keep him here.

Don’t know what you’re getting at but my point was you have to take into consideration that the new Yankee stadium will yield homeruns to players that would be easy flyouts here. Chipper and Brian McCann would each be approaching 20 homeruns by now if they played in that stadium half the time. Sometime its not the players. Its the stadium.

Off Topic, I have a great amount of respect for Joey Votto. He took the time to explain that severe depression was the reason he missed the past month. Depression is a serious disease and hopefully with a star athlete bringing it to the public, it will help more people understand how serious depression can be.

When Tex was here, he played in 157 games and we won how many games? How many games outta first place were we in 2007 and 2008?
