Heath, not it’s Handsome!
Sorry there are shockingly few guys in baseball that I can’s stand and CDJ is pretty much at the top of the list…
I just can’t get over how KJ’s song is about a man having an affair……….hmmm…lol
One thing’s for sure..If Kelly were to get benched, I would miss that song
Tommy’s adjusting to the majors quicker than he adjusted to AA and AAA.
rob from sc
Hanson throwing 92-94 with nasty movement
Bobby said on the pre-game show that Pendleton has been working hard with Francoeur. Not exactly what I would have liked to hear.
This appears to be a quick inning.
oh they finally mention kj’s bonehead play and then they make excuses for him …..hahahha then he strikesout
June 23rd, 20098:33 pm
Finally said something about Kelly not running !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jerald…Chip is a major nerd and a huge dork.
NO MORE BOBBY
Joe Simpson has a man crush on Kelly Johnson.
I remember when KJ was hitting that 2nd strike …….outta here!
Ask Chipper if he should win the GG this year.
JoeS::::”ball really jumping his bat” a second later…swing and a miss
Have you seen Kelly’s wife, bravo2249? She’s not worried…
Braves 5 hits…………..JF + KJ = none
release those guys
Get a hit Hanson
June 23rd, 20098:34 pm
LOL about the peanut farmers.
DOB, thank you for the 8:24…I’m gettin a little sick of so many people blaming Escobar for his flaws while Chipper constantly gets a pass. Remember, that last road trip, our “leader” was just plain awful at the plate and he can be blamed a lot for thoae bad games.
I thought I was the only one that thought Tooner Field looks wierd with the High Attendance!
I kind of impressed with The Ted’s music tonight…I thought I heard a little Akon earlier in the game between innings.
Don’t worry though, John Denver’s waiting for the 7th inning stretch…
June 23rd, 20098:35 pm
I am sorry but that puss on Chipper’s face drives me crazy. His bat is in a slump, he could at least make an effort in the field.
What's Hanson's velocity?
I’ve seen 91-93 touching 94 with a below average curve and average slider. Third starter stuff, command and control……
2 hit shutout for tommy so far! hehe
Yankees stranded EIGHT runners the last three innings.
so of all people joe simpson bitches about hanson not taking pitches? He’s the damn pitcher….. YELL AT FAILCEOUR OR KJ!!
June 23rd, 20098:36 pm
Why is Micah Owings getting rocked? He misses us
Prado should be starting over Kelly Johnson
The good news is we get to see Chipper at third base for 4 more years. By that Time Escobar will have to cover the whole left side instead of 3/4.
The high attendance tonight is like the old days…
cabravesfan – Yeh, I agree. I just didnt know if his comfort zone was 91-92 or what he was hitting his first start. Those 97s could have just been adrenaline. The radar gun means squat anyway.
Joe just said Kelly didn’t run out of the box because he didn’t know where the ball went. Isn’t that a reason TO run instead of not to run.
Here come the Rays………………after being behing 10-0 it is now 10-1.
What’s Hanson’s velocity: “Below average curve and average slider”? Good thing you’re not a scout, bro. You’d be fired in a week.
June 23rd, 20098:37 pm
Anybody spotted “Hanson’s Mansons” at the park tonight?
cabravesfan – sorry for the lengthy delay – my sister just called for some strange reason – she used to live in LA – was director of marketing of the hotel where River Phoenix met his untimely end (not a good marketing opportunity). I am moving towards negative comments to a few folks who drive me crazy – I need you to rein me in.
At least the muts are losing an cards have the bases loaded……….They are in a prolonged delay,
June 23rd, 20098:38 pm
What’s Hanson’s velocity?
You already said that…at least give us some new ignorant material.
Hey I’m just saying…lol
Because he is a greedy bitch
That is why we are booing
Chin Music’s .410 opponents’ average this season includes a .457 mark (32-for-70) by lefty hitters DOB
Add Kelly to the .543 of lefties that haven’t hit against Wang….
June 23rd, 20098:39 pm
I agree with Joe Simpson…about booing tex..atlanta fans..have no clue at times…
I’ve got plenty of ignorant material to go around.
Probably some adrenaline, but I think Tommy can throw that hard if he wanted to, but there is no reason to. Once he gets more comfortable at this level, I wouldn’t be suprised to see his fastball top out at around 95
The Braves offered Tex a contract. he said no…he was traded…so YES it was his decision to leave.
Tex was going to the yankees and everyone knows it. Stop talking about that tool
hanson carvin it up so far this inning
June 23rd, 20098:40 pm
I hate the Yankees and interleague play, but a packed house on a Tuesday night speaks for itself.
I hate Chip Caray, that is all.
Good showing so far tonight by BMac and Garret…
Just wish someone would make a point on the broadcast to mention the “free pass” Bobby continues to give Johnson and Francoeur for poor play…
I’m beyond sick of it!
Someone please detatch Chip’s lips from Teixeira’s ass
Jone and Chip among Others, Stop Complaining About Us Booing the Hell Outta TEX
Tex Was Never Clutch with Atlanta…So We Boo Him As We damn Well Please…
And He Sold Out To WhineBrenner and The Yanks out of all teams that offered him a contract (The Team has ruined baseball as far as the business side goes)
June 23rd, 20098:41 pm
I dont think any of us would turn down 80 million to stay with the braves.
Oh ! Mark said Joe Giradi is the best manager he ever played for !! Sorry Bobby ! You ain”t that loved !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah…this Hanson fella…he sucks. I wish we would have kept Glavine instead.
Every ground ball is past Chipper
Looks like ARod is missing his hormones.
June 23rd, 20098:42 pm
Chipper Jones just waves at that one going by.
JJ (WTH is Jeff Bennett still on the roster???)
Is Cano a threat to bunt or something?? Why play in with 2 out and nobody on??
Careful with Posada …Tommy!
June 23rd, 20098:43 pm
rob from SC – so you would turn down a lot less money from your current employer because you love them so much?
Boy, if Hanson could hang on and win here against the Skankees, that would do wonders for his confidence.
What The Hell was That Olay Bullshyt from Chipper…J/K
But he has been a liability on defense this year to us…
I was beginning to wonder if you were..let’s just say I was starting to worry I’m probably not the best one to ask to rein in the comments- I am struggling to do that myself…try taking some deep breaths and drinking some more- that might help (and just FYI- The Viper Room, where River Phoenix died, isn’t a hotel, it’s a club)
Corky – Atlanta offered Texiera a contract before they traded him and he declined. The fans can boo if they want.
June 23rd, 20098:44 pm
Hanson is doing great. No runs for 5 inning, pretty damn good for Rookie. Why the bitching?
I’d turn down 80-million to stay with the Braves.
Attbboy Big Red!!!!
Yankee announcers say AROD does not have his head on straight. I guess they are not talking about the time he spends with Kate Hudson these days. Maybe they have a confused idea about his body parts.
That’s 11 scoreless innings of six-hit ball for Hanson over his past two starts.
Hanson owns Posada.
Ptown…they are hitting the ball hard but right at people…have to tip your cap to the other team…still early in the season..they will come around
we almost look like legitimate contenders tonight..just as long as Booger Cox doesn’t insert Jeff Bennett in as relief.
Hanson showing guts and determination
June 23rd, 20098:45 pm
Well, Tommy isn’t pretty when he pitches but he gets the job done
My goodness Tommy Hanson sux……Third starter my arse.
what pitch did posada strike out on…i missed it
Chipper calls Bobby Bowlegged ……HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
0-3, 3K for Posada. Wonder what scouting report he would give on Hanson?
Hanson at 3.18era
This update has been brought to you by pollo loco grill
June 23rd, 20098:46 pm
Tex was a consummate professional when he played for us. He played hard and smart every inning he was on the field. The Yankees offered him a huge fortune and he said yes. Chip and Joe are right.
I think Hansen is handling the Yanks pretty well tonight. Couple a walks and a few hits, but no runs in spite of our defensive problems. Gotta give the kid a hand.
Hey Chipper haters – the dude won the BATTING CROWN last year, remember???
Oh yeah, you’re just a bunch of yankwad fans.
Skeeter..braves made one offer..and it wasn’t even close to fair market value..braves offered the same amount as the rangers…braves management feel like everyone is going to take a discount….Krusty Krotch has done really well as a replacement
Money would not be a factor. If I was from Atlanta and my family and friends were from there and they had a good team I would not leave. Noboby needs that much money.
Teixeira went for the money. That’s fine But don’t say it is because he wanted to play with the Yanks.
What, exactly, is a “Yankwad”?
June 23rd, 20098:47 pm
Hanson’s problem is because lady in second roll just can’t keep her knees together.
TBrown…………I’m not sure where you got your “Hey Unknown – Remember what happened last time Chipper moved to LF? He turned into the injury riddle I can’t play more than 130 games guy he is now”…………..from? However, you might want to do some research before you make MORONIC statements like that
Here are Chippers stats from 2002 and 2003 when he played ALL his games in the field in left field: (I’m sure that he played a few games at DH in Inter-League play).
Total games played………..158…………153
Games Played in left………152…………149
On base average………….(.435)………(.402)
Again, do some freaking RESEARCH before posting MORONIC statements like that. Not only did he play more than 130 games, his numbers were not too “shabby”, lol.
June 23rd, 20098:48 pm
cabravesfan – they covered it up – he made it back to the hotel after od’ing at the club and died there, at least according to what I was told, although I claim no overriding knowledge other than what my sister has told me. It was apparently not a great night from a PR standpoint.
Rob from SC-
Teix isn’t from Atlanta- he went to college at GA Tech…his wife, I believe is from the area though
June 23rd, 20098:49 pm
Alright Chipper…get that BA above .300 with a shot to the gap baby!
nice base running Esco!!
Paul, that was during the steroid era..paul..everyone hit well during those years..
Chipper continues to struggle. He will be hitting .250 by the end of the month. Good baserunning by Esco.
June 23rd, 20098:50 pm
I’d boo Tex too. I don’t care if he’s a great player (which he is). I hate the guy. Hated him when he was at teck, hate em as a Brave, hate him as a bankee.
Classic Chip getting excited on a deep fly out. Even Yunel knew that wasn’t going out, by tagging
Looking at some of the home/away splits on the Yankee hitters is a joke. Cheaty McCheater has 8 homers at home and only 1 on the road. Tex has 13 homers at home and 7 on the road. Posada has 6 at home and 3 on the road. Jeter has 7 homers at home and 2 on the road. Swisher is the only one that has played very well on the road and not very well at home. 9 homers on the road and 3 at home.
Bobby can’t say a word about Escobar. Now steal 3rd.
Dammit Heap what was that.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
