Shane SHUT THE HELL UP YOU WORTHLESS SCUMBAG!!!
June 22nd, 20099:44 pm
McCann is a helluva lot better than that Soto queefer!!
McLouth of the South
Did I mention that it was a Harry Potter blow-up doll?
Jump On Wang LOL!
No one goes 500-500 GET OVER IT!!!
Wonder why Lou is resting Soriano’s bat?
Canadaian braves fan
For all whinning about the Texas trade just read the article on ajc website. Tex did what we got him for it just didnt work out. Just like this year if they get the bat they need there is no guareente they win the division or WC
Joe bringing up Beckett. Not the dude I want to see against the Braves… like ever again.
bravos2249, 9:42 pm … “Why waste Gonzo?”
Bennett is all tired out after his last outing.
rob from sc
Steve from OH
I agree but not every player on your team needs to have power. Andrus could lead off. Bat .300, have an OBP of .360 and steal 40 bases. THere is nothing wrong with that. I still think Feliz might end up in the bullpen. Right now he is more of a thrower. In AAA he has given up 1 hit per inning. Compare that to what top pitchers like Tommy Hanson and Chris Tillman. Need to see Feliz develop a more big league breaking ball and changeup before I worry about trading him.
I understand yopur point though. I am just a big believer in Andrus. Gut feeling.
Thanks Chop Chop.
Because Bobby ain’t no Leo.

McLouth of the south, did you say you wanted to BLOW Harry Potter??
Joebrave, I was being sarcastic to McFann. Didn’t mean to seriously offend anybody. I love Mac and am disgusted he’s not a million votes ahead of Molina….you kiddin me, how does that happen??
MrNeutral is a worthless fagboy.
Did someone really just say “why waste Gonzo?” ?
One more Gonzo and it’s practically over.
Yep, 31,000 Cubs fans 701 Braves fans
June 22nd, 20099:46 pm
There’s a play Kelly wouldn’t have made.
Cool then Dude, BMac is the Man we cool then
Shane, Brain Mccan Is an elite hitter, How many SB does Albert Pujols have? Or A – Rod? Or Adam Dunn?
A 2-0 game going into the 8th…that is exactly the situation you use gonzo/soriano. I don’t have a problem with the pitching choices here. I just didn’t understand bringing those guys out in 8-2 ballgames when Acosta is not getting any work.
Canadaian braves fan
There is one big difference. We are not trading trading Hanson or Heyward. We gave up our # 1 and 2 plus 2 others in the top 10 for Tex. Frank Wren know not to trade his future stars.
PS They better not trad Freddie Freeman either.
Paul you love to hear yourself type don’t you? man, just annoying.
Good inning by Gonzo, time for Soriano to come in and shut it down.
Good outing Gonzo. Not a bad setup guy
June 22nd, 20099:47 pm
Now that’s what I’m talking about. Runners on 1st and 3rd, 1 out. Chipper got good wood on a pitch that was supposed to be DRIVEN. Chipper hit it to the wrong part of the park, however at least it got the job done by McLouth tagging up and scoring.
Francouer would have hit into a double play.
Shane, glad to see you were kidding. ‘Bout to blast you, too.
1-2-3 for Gonzalez, who looked like a champ.
Still wouldn’t hurt to get a little more insurance.
Cubs came back from waaaay down, late, against the Indians in every game. They probably don’t feel that 2 runs is all that big of a deficit in the ninth.
I think Pujols has 9 SBs and leads the Cards.
June 22nd, 20099:48 pm
Well, this is what has to be done to start the series coming up which is to get some momentum by winning the first one. Soriano needs to hold this one down. It was all about clutch pitching tonight. Vazquez should be an All-Star but watch, he won’t.
Wait are there people on here who are finally admitting that Blanco sucks? I mean, really, he wasn’t even doing good in AAA when he was called up. Should have kept Canizares and sent Blanco down. As for Diory, he isn’t exactly ready for the majors yet. Wren was sort of forced to keep him up when Infante was injured. He’ll continue to develop into a good utility man once Infante comes back and he goes back to Gwinnett.
MItchell: Nah, Kelly would have made that one, too.
Bobby Cox doesn’t like Acosta
Paul Lentz –
I agree with you, that he is still a far far cry from the guy who was consistently hitting the wall with those rocket doubles a few years back, but comparably, he looks less lost of late. I haven’t seen that lolli-pop undercut swing he uses to bounce the ball to second base quite as much. Don’t get me wrong–I’d still rather have just about anyone playing RF right now, but given that his trade value is nil, it’d be such a blessing to at least see him become less of a casualty night after night.
I’m disgusted, too.
And he hasn’t looked great at the plate lately…that slam into the wall was the last thing he needed.
June 22nd, 20099:49 pm
abwright…I would say the Cubs’ confidence is high…but they aren’t in Wrigley with the wind blowing out either…
Insurance would be nice.
lets rough up this AAA reliever
What happened to Kelly in this game, I’ve only been watching since the 7th
C’mon boys, let’s score six and get Jeff Bennett up.
June 22nd, 20099:50 pm
Calling up Blanco was all about Schafer. Braves knew the wrist was bad. Wanted him to get his swing fixed in AAA. Best thing was for him to get his wrist well. Schafer is a big part of our future. Blanco is not.
Gloves, he had “bilateral” cramps and Jeff Porter was out of Midol.
Golden ,Kelly started his period, and needed some Midol for his cramps, then Booby kissed it and made it all better!
Goldenglove002 – Kelly had cramps in both legs.
I agree, but if you could get Pujlos for example would you trade some of those “untouchables”, I think so. I not saying this is happening just comparing the situation
June 22nd, 20099:51 pm
Blanco’s not a big part of our present, either.
Wow Casey hit in the leg again. Outstanding Cubs.
Do you think the Angels would take Kotchman back.
June 22nd, 20099:52 pm
Mac is too damn slow. worthless blogger know as unknown
Why don’t you contribute something to the blog if you’re going to post. Say something like if McCann were 10% faster, he would be hitting .390 instead of only .360.
Instead, like the dumbazz you are, you say something with a profanity in it to insult McCann. That’s why you are worthless as a blogger>>>>>YOU DON’T CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING!
Nah rob I doubt it, Morales is better!
Lets go Cards! Lets go Cards!
Dammit, just as I typed that they scored again.
Jeff, you wanna put the nail in the coffin?
I am really psyched about yankees–braves series
June 22nd, 20099:53 pm
Francoeur closes his eyes and swings that a fastball in his eyes.
Is it not telling hoe much our divison sucks when we are 4 1/2 out and we are 4 games under .500
Heard on the blog:
Peter Paul Lentz, ” Francoeur stinks and he’s, he’s, he’s…”
JoeBrave, ” Spit it out before I kick you in the ass sumbitch!”
We had Taverez and Julio, I don’t remeber Elmer Dessens.
I agree with the scout who said he would give up his whole ML team for Heyward.
I would not trade Heyward for anyone. Just my opinion. Kid is going to be a star.
June 22nd, 20099:54 pm
Switch hitter with power, and hits for a decent average.Morales is better all round to Krotch!
Heath (Cleveland), 9:49 pm … “abwright…I would say the Cubs’ confidence is high…but they aren’t in Wrigley with the wind blowing out either…”
Whatever meat Cleveland was throwing out there wasn’t no Soriano neither.
Me too…especially since it’s in ATL…last time we played them..in NY…the Umps reallly screwed us…lol…we sucked then though…so no biggie…I only hate that we don’t get to play the Rays….yeah they’d probably kick our butts…but it would still be cool.
I am Bravesman, just love this name
June 22nd, 20099:55 pm
I know Morales is better. I just don’t like Kotchman. MAybe his dad can convince the Angels to take him back
Shane – I got your back McFann –
Who would you want to start the ALL STAR GAME ??? Please don’t say the St. Louis darling Yadier Molina because he is a good defensive catcher.
Brian McCann is the best offensive catcher in the NL look up the numbers. It is what it is and he should be starting in two weeks for the NL All Stars.
McLouth, I am not the one that wants to blow a dude(see Harry potter), dude do you have a mancrush on pauly??
Francine Is Nothing But a singles Hitter, Nuff said!!! That pitch was a hanger that should’ve been hit into the alley or better…!
June 22nd, 20099:56 pm
Terrible work by Jeff.
Swings under a pitch in his eyes for strike one, swings over a pitch in the dirt for strike two, golfs a pop up to right field. That was a very hittable pitch that Francoeur popped up.
rob from sc I agree but others would happily pull the trigger
Time for Soriano to nail the door shut.
yeah, I know calling up Blanco was about sending Schafer down. He needed to go, no question there. But Blanco is nothing more than a crappy pinch hitter. He occasionally gets the start over Frenchy, but I would rather have Jeff in the lineup over Blanco. If we need a PH, I believe Canizares would be better. It would atleast give Barbaro some potential trade value if he proves he can hit MLB pitching. Blanco isn’t going to have any value.
June 22nd, 20099:57 pm
Come On Raffy!!! Let’s Do This!!!
I agree with Tomahawkin’s posting at 9:55pm and Mitchell’s at 9:56pm.
That’s the only screw-up Wren has to my notion, shoulda got Morales instead of Krotch…
June 22nd, 20099:58 pm
Scouts are gushing about the way Heyward plays the game. I love the fact that he was raised by two Darmuth (SP) graduates. They say he has a great head on his shoulders. I honestly believe he will be the opening day RF next season.
Soriano time Senor Smoke!
Bit of a let-down there.
Be sharp Braves. Soriano probably won’t need you but don’t make any damn errors.
Let’s end this so I can eat and take out the trash and not be about to explode from nerves.
Nothin like beating the Cubs and nothing like losing to the Cubs.
Don’t give ‘em anything Rafi.
I would not trade Heyward for anyone (Rob)
pretty much agree with that. maybe for Pujols but I really have high hopes for the guy as at least a very good player. Haven’t felt this good about a prospect since Druw,Chipper and Javy L. Long time.
June 22nd, 20099:59 pm
alright lets shut the Chubs down
The Angels love their prospects big time. They probably wanted to keep Morales more than Kotchman.
Rob from Sc
i hope he isn’t our Rf next year.
Contract Year For Raffy…I see Him, Selling Out to WhineBrenner and The Yanks Unfortunately….
June 22nd, 200910:00 pm
cmon Raffy get the heater down just a tad
Top 9 LSU down 2
I’m not really surprised some of you get on to Joe S. for taking up for Frenchy, but he knows almost everybody bashes the kid every chance they get so he’s just giving the boy a breather, I guess. Ya’ll don’t have to take it so personal.
No JoeBrave! Shut the hell up you worthless scumbag motherfu–er! I’ll come thru this blog and kick your ass!
Why not. If he is ready then he is ready. Every prospect is different in terms of how much minor league time they need.
All’s I’ve got to say….you know your defense is a little iffy when Matt Diaz is the late innings defensive replacement. Although his D is muuuuch better than when he first came to the Braves.
Would have been nice to get Kendry tho
June 22nd, 200910:01 pm
Joebrave – that was what the Angels were thinking all along. Morales cheaper and more productive. Angels have been very good at cutting payroll and developing players within.
Oh I didn’t know Khalil Greene was back from his mental health vacation.
That guy also forgot to take into account BMac’s slide into the wall…that might slow a person down a tad.
It’s “OK”…Shane wasn’t being serious.
What’s wrong McLouyh, your panties in a wad boy?? or are you a crossdresser?
June 22nd, 200910:02 pm
The 9th is never easy
Holy Shyt…Man That Is Our Luck…! Time To get Tough Raffy!
Hope this isn’t “Bad Raphael”
argh cmon Raffy
I agree that Barbaro should be here to be our pinch hitter. Our backup RF should be Kelly. In fact, they should platoon Jeff and Kelly. Kelly hits against righties, and KJ hits against lefties*
