You know Louie and the Cubs are not really interested in this game and would just as soon we blow them out of teh water, how about doing Billy Goat a favor a pick up a quick TD or at least a safety. No idea what it will take between back baseball and bad luck
Nice RIP McLouth. That is what I call pulling a mistake. Take note Francoeur.
I dont know what Joe Simpson is talking about. That wasnt a Francoeur swing. He didnt just “stick his bat out there”. McLouth had a good hack at that pitch.
Unreal. I sometimes wonder if I’m even watching the same game that the announcers are.
I went to the game in Boston on Saturday night. Quick details. First time at Fenway Park….awesome experience, everyone should try to see this historical stadium. Sox fans don’t care about the game until about the 6th or 7th, then they determine how interested they are depending on how the score looks for their team. Otherwise, they seemed to bad mouth some of their guys…EXCEPT Big Papi, an icon in Boston. Lowe was given more standing ovations in 1 game than I’m sure he’s received all year in Atlanta. Pretty cool on Boston fans. Great experience, disregarding the result. 2nd game of the year I’ve attended, 2nd loss. That’s all for me this year folks, I am done jinxing them.
I really think Bobby Cox’s puts labels on players. I think Bobby only see’s Prado as a role player. There is something wrong with the way Cox’s thinks.

Even though Tyler Flowers is having a good season, I am 100% glad we got Vazquez. I am really beginning to rethink trading him unless we get a number 1 prospect in return.
I couldn’t agree more with you. By trading away a guy like JV and in all honesty what are we going to get that will make the difference this year? I would say not enough.
Keep the pitching and know we get Hudson back and work on next season. Stronger pitching and maybe some smoothe moves with the salary who knows. A bat or two possibly or not. I would keep my hand here and look for next season.
This ain’t the season to expect more than what you see.
The whole team needs to be taking potassium supplements this week while they get readjusted to the near 100 degree temps. I have to take that at night when I run and sweat a lot. Most runners take it.
I’m not a trainer, I just play one on the internet.
Rob, I’m much more disappointed that we gave up Feliz (though TINSTAAPP disciples would surely argue that giving up class A pitchers is, over the long haul, a winning proposition for the club), and to me, Andrus has to prove to me that he’s more than a league-average bat before I rue losing him, too. That’s not to say that I don’t think he won’t get there, I am at least fairly confident that he’ll be a good BA/OBP guy in the long term; I’m less bullish about his power potential as of right now (though I do reserve the right to flip-flop later!). Feliz, however, is a legit power arm with very good peripherals to go along with a good ERA. I’m fairly confident that he’ll be a very good starting pitcher down the road.
Now, if Feliz is the only one that pans out, and Andrus remains as a low-.700 OPS guy, I’d say that the trade is a LOT less bad than many here say.
