Jeff’s swing looks more fluid, faster. I am no frenchy apologist, he has been an atrocity in cletes when it comes to hitting with RISP the last few weeks, but I think he may be listening to the right coach, and tuning out the other 250 right now.
ray k………………yes, you are wrong. Francoeur is getting his “punch and judy singles”, however driving the ball with some authority (you know, like hitting one off the wall for a double or better yet, a homer, lol) is something that Francoeur has yet to do. Francoeur has 1 homer since early May. 1 FREAKING HOMER!
I’m surprised that Vazquez came out for the 7th. Hopefully he can get this guy out.
ROB SC – He is scheaduled to come back after the all star break. So its nice to have the week off. So I would expect him to start getting ready during the off time – that is if he is ready to go. I am hoping like you. We sure could need him.
RobSc – I think a lot obviously will dictate what happens with this homestand. If we lay down than I would think Omar will get all the time he needs. That’s an obvious post here I know but I wouldn’t rush him if we lay a huge egg here in the next 10 days.
Moylan, lol. Bobby is stubborn. Dude is way too INCONSISTENT to be pitching in the 7th inning in tight situations. In 26 innings pitched, Moylan has allowed 25 hits, 17 walks, and 2 hits batsmen. 44 baserunners in 26 innings pitched.
Good going, Moylan. I didnt say that he wasnt able to get hitters out. However he has been nearly consistent enough to warrant pitching in the 7th inning of tight situations. With Moylan is like a crapshot, a coin flip.
Ok so I live in West Chicago, and Ive got the guys over and we are going either burn a Braves Ball or a Cubs Ball depending on won wins this game, I hope its the latter!! GO BRAVES!!
Moylan’s stuff was actually pretty good yesterday. I don’t like side armers, but his stuff look filthy for the 1st time this year yesterday….hopefully the stuff is just as good pitching back-to-back games…
Way to bring up the shut out, Boog. I hate when they do that crap. Just like yesterday when they put the homerun thing up seconds before Bennett took the mound and ended the game with one pitch.
Even though Tyler Flowers is having a good season, I am 100% glad we got Vazquez. I am really beginning to rethink trading him unless we get a number 1 prospect in return.
Rob SC – I was thinking the same thing … but hey I have run out of things positive to say with this team anymore. So I am hoping his recovery will be quick and strong.
