I mean we don’t have tons of tradable prospects
J4NLCY- I’m originally from Chicago (north side, Cubs fan). I’ve lived in Atlanta for 15 years now, but I still cheer for the Cubs, just not when they play the Braves. Not sure how you can cheer for the Braves in Chicago, ’cause it’s tough cheering for ‘em in Atlanta sometimes.
Man This Feels Like watching A Lakers Game With The F’d Up Calls and all…
What a piece of work this ump is. Chipper was completely right about his boston biased calls on strikes. what a bunch of crap.
Was chipper having roid rage
Sometimes I really do think that certain umps root for certain teams. This ump is, uh, NOT a Braves fan.
June 21st, 20093:36 pm
So apparently everyone who’s enjoying this forgot Chipper was leading off next inning. And we didnt lost the DH bro. Calm down
No we don’t. Chipper wasn’t DHing.
GA costs us a lot of runs…2 this game
See THEY do not waste a Leadoff Double
Steve from OH
I guess we just disagree, Rob. You’re seriously underestimating the impact of removing Anderson and Franceour from the lineup, IMO, and you’re seriously undervaluing Chipper’s impact to this club. Trading Vazquez for a bat (assuming Hudson is ready to step into the rotation) is much more of a sure bet to help us than trading him for prospects that are farther away from the bigs and may or may not even help us down the road.
Chipper sure didn’t look like a 9-5er there, did he?
The ump is costing us the game…jesus..
What lumberjack school did this guy graduate from?

wish they played with the same emotion they argue with
Horrible decision making by Bobby Cox to start the inning. No way I would put Jair Jurggens back out there to start this inning when he was finally off the hook. He has had so much tough luck, I would have taken him out for that reason alone. It backfired on Cox too. I don’t know what was up with Cox, Jones and the umpires there. He was aching to toss somebody and he did, two somebody’s!
How Can You Hate On Easy-E?
John Deere Green
This raggedy assed UMPIRE NEEDS to be KICKED IN THE NUTS!!!!
Thats the Braves season right there great comeback to bad you give it right back. When they hit they cant pitch and when they pitch they cant hit the signs of a very frustratingly bad team.
I just realized that didn’t make much sense- you only lose the DH if the DH comes into the field to play…
Finally, some emotion from this team, love it. Braves still suck though. 8-4 is your final.
I’m with ya Chipper! Umpires that miss calls in critical situations deserve to hear about it.
June 21st, 20093:38 pm
Yeah, guys…applaud Chipper for his “fire.”
Can’t wait to see Kelly come up in his spot next inning and pop up.
Part of me liked seeing it. Most of me thinks it was really dumb and selfish.
How can U hate on Easy-E
He has been our best underrated reliever this year…
Screw U JD Screw!!!
Another Mental Error!!!
Well, there goes a nice double play that could have been
I was so ticked I misstated in my earlier blog. I would have never left Jair in the game. This one os getting away when they had a shot.
Red Sox are perfect. They don’t need benefit of the doubt. However, we do. We are far from perfect.
Well if some rare fire from Chipper. Like to see more of that, but directed toward the team’s play.
Now we are stuck wif CHEEENO!!!
Chipper getting thrown out in a one run game is just as bad as Escobar’s mental error. Chipper might have cost us the game.
June 21st, 20093:39 pm
He almost got it, John Deere, I thought Chipper was going to punch him and I would have LOVED it. lol
JD shoulda had the sombrero there. instead he gets a “clutch” hit.
I’m sorry, but that umps mustache is really awesome.
Awesome. I hate double plays anyway.
How the hell could we let that hick steal second?
No offense to any hicks out there. Haven’t used that word in a while.
June 21st, 20093:40 pm
how do you miss that strike call? seriously?
Ol’ Hoss had his dander up, didn’t he? Whew!!! But….you can’t really blame him. Poor O’F, after that call, he didn’t know where to throw the ball for a strike.
I really want to hear Chipper’s comments after the game. Be interesting to see EXACTLY what the umpire said that set him off like that.
this teAM CANT BEAT WASHINGTON
NO MORE BOBBY
Did you see how upset that last Red Sox batter got for not getting the runner home? We never see that kind of passion for any of the Braves hitters.
Nice work Moylan.
June 21st, 20093:41 pm
the Aussie Hossie has been lights out lately
I would like to see Chipper punch JD in the face…I have always hated JD…I haven’t been this mad watching a game in a long time.
AttaBoy Petey Pab!!!
Damn I didn’t realize that TP Had to hold Chipper back! That was awesome!
145th ejection for Cox, second this season
6th ejection for Chipper, first since 2007
That just happened
Recap on scoring
Huge error cost us 3 runs, A Yunel/Chip communication error cost a run, and Ump flat out refuses to call out someone on 0-2 pitches. Picture perfect flashes of last season on road down a run. Flat out sad.
June 21st, 20093:42 pm
Rays reclaim the lead over the Muts, 7-5.
Loaf Garett on a blackberry from left field
fu*k that dumb doueche umpire i would have lit his as* up too there is no freakin way i would have allowed that if i were anywhere in the infield or bobby… way to go. screw that ump he deserves to get shot.
willieg, I agree some of your stuff was pretty hilarious last night, but today it is like using cheap toilet paper…..If you press hard enuff you’ll get turds on your fingers!!!
brewdawg – I’m sorry, but that umps mustache is really awesome.
VERY RON BURGUNDY!!
Hey, our drunken friend is back! Well guess what Wellieg- NEITHER CAN THE YANKEES!
Chipper looked like carl everett
June 21st, 20093:43 pm
Without that error in the 1st or missed pop-up between Chipper & Esco and without that blown call by the ump and this is a 4-1 game. However, thats a lot of “what-ifs”.
Chop It Up All-Star
IMO that Chipper blow up was more than just his beef with the umpire. I think he was irked about the called strike on him, the missed strike call on Drew, the stupid throw to second by GA, the missed pop-up between him and Escobar and the fact that they will probably lose yet another game they could, maybe even should have won.
I wanna know what Bobby said too. Something like, maybe you should shave your ’stache.
F——g umpires…………..they should be fined when they miss calls this bad…………he makes the mistakes………..it cost an organization a game………….thousands of dollars………….games on the standings and they still get to toss players out?
At least they should be able to replay those plays and at least bring the players back or something…………what a bag of s———t
Chipper never gets so hot……….(only while in hooters)…………he is just tires of so much mediocrity………..his teammates and the umpires………….. they have missed 2 calls at 3B……….badly…………and lots of calls with chipper on the batters box…………..its frustrating…………
We will win this game to make some justice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
TRADE CHIPPER,FIRE BOBBY,GET RID OF EVERYONE BRING UP THE GWINNETT BRAVES PUT THEM IN SEE IF THEY TANK A PLAY, IWILL WIN AGAIN TODAY AS USUAL BETTING AGAINST THE BRAVES IS EASY MONEY
THWG, Its tough but its kinda easy when the Cubs choke pretty much every time they make the playoffs, and I was wrong about the DH, as many of you have pointed out. I think the DH is a very stupid rule in the first place
In better news, mets are blowing a lead and Phils are down 2-1 in the 8th and they just lost there manager too. 2 more innings here for the Braves to pick up JJ. I know Chipper was leading off, but I appreciate him sticking up for his pitcher. Wakefield got a lot of borderline pitches and for EOF not to get that call really hurt us.
We got KJ instead of CJ. nice
June 21st, 20093:44 pm
good to sEE WILLIEG FOUND HIS CAPS LOCK MID-SENTENCE
Nova Scotia Steve
Paplebum warming up….
Hey willieg!!!!!! Funny last night but kinda sad and pathetic today.
Yeah DOB, go straight to Chipper after this game and get the comments. Tell him we LOVED it.
I mean, just a suggestion.
Nice work, KJ!
June 21st, 20093:45 pm
KJ is going to turn his season around starting today.
Chipper was just thrown out of the game. Garret Anderson was loafing around left field all day. For the love of Jeebus I wish they would release this idiot. He brings nothing to the table. I would rather see Blanco hitting .200 but busting his butt out there as opposed to this clown occupying space on the roster and costing us runs. With a little effort he could have held the runner at first. No effort so the runner, a catcher, gets to 2nd. With a little effort he could have caught the Drew hit , but he loafed and played the ball off the wall, with a little effort there might have been a play at the plate but he lobbed the ball back to 2nd. Release him now! During the game for all I care. He doesn’t deserve to wear the jersey.
Damn, KJ almost got tagged out at 2nd. but good popup anyway
Stop the game, an extra-base hit for Kelly in an important situation.
this place is perfect for kelly. POPUPS TO LEFT
wow kj??? Really?
Way to go Kelly!!!! Let’s tie it up boys!!! We just showed major emotion…lets rally and win this thing
I like that from Hoss. It looked to me on the replay that he was protecting O’Flaherty. O’Flaherty got screwed on the “strike” call and challenged the ump after the hit. The umpire then was stalking O’Flaherty instead of turning the other way. The umpire was making himself bigger than the game. Way to stick up for your teammates, Hoss.
I, too, think the DH is stupid. Takes a lot of strategy out of the game.
KJ, Finally! Nice!!!
There’s Our new Pinch Hitter…!
And instead of popping up (as some suggested) KJ had Chipper’s back and got a double off the wall.
Fenway helped there, but I’ll take it.
KJ leads off the inning with a double high off the wall, filling Chipper’s spot in the order.
Good ejection, CJ! and way to pick him up KJ.
KJ coming through for his team in the clutch
Bang this sumbitch outta here BMAC
something tells me people should stay far, far away from Chipper for a while
YOU WILL NEVER WIN THIS GAME PERIOD THE BRAVES CANT WIN THESE GAMES ANYMORE WATCH THEM SCREW IT UP,MY DEAR LOYAL BRAVE MORONS,.
June 21st, 20093:46 pm
Let’s go Mac. Pull the ball
This is a terrible game for both sides plus the umps must be the weather.
bigstack..loaf is a professional hitter..no time to concentrate on fielding
Fenway “Pahk” special right there.
I like Fenway…but…I gotta admit…that left field wall is a joke.
“Yeah DOB, go straight to Chipper after this game and get the comments. Tell him we LOVED it.”

Come on Macoroni…hit one out big boy!
anybody see the replay of the home plate ump talking to bobby? i swear if you read his lips it looks like he says, it was a strike. that was when bobby stopped arguing.
Gotta score here, just gotta!!
Bobby Cox Hat Tipping Club
I like to see the fire from Cox, Chipper and O’flaherty. Bravo!
However, a little more fire and just plain heads up play by the Braves on the field would go a lot further than bellyaching about a blown call. When you are winning games you should win instead of losing games you should win due to sloppy defense and not hitting, frustration sets in.
Tough wind, but good baserunning by KJ.
June 21st, 20093:48 pm
Hey willieg, if your here on the blog then who’s stealing social security checks from your neighbors? Douche..
