Why is it every time I take my set off mute, I am treated to Chip Caray giggling, chortling, guffawing to some idiotic thing he himself has said? Meanwhile, dumbass’ banter goes on as the game takes a back seat.
I want to hear Joe’s commentary, but Chip’s incessant blathering about nothing derails the game for me.

Moylan in for the Braves I love that there are not commercials on peachtree on directv they keep you at the game and can hear the 7th inning stretch and cant wait to hear sweet caroline in the 8th

Garrett has played a lot of games in this park and a more than a handful of postseason AB’s here as well. Seems his has a comfort zone in old Fenway. As a DH, he sure looks comfortable in that. What was his break down on starts as position player/DH with the Halo’s over the last few years I wonder. Maybe a question for CABravesfan?

First thing that was not a dp ball thjat was hit to Escabor.It really ticks me off that Joe Simpson shows his dislike of Escabor.If he was a true professional he would leave his personal feelings outside the booth.On that error by Escabor,anybody that wanted to see it could see that he had to regrip the ball before he threw to first.If that had been Chipper,Joe would have been all over that making excuses.Oh by the way,what kind of player was Joe?He knows everything.Why is KJ at secondbase?

cabravesfan – as I told Tom last night (in private), I enjoy playing up our “feud” for the sake of the audience, and last night I just gave up hanging out because it was dead on the blog, but within a half hour after I left it picked up (maybe not a concidence). Of course, had I known the moron I was meeting this morning would cancel for the 4th time in 5 meetings (ok, maybe I should have seen it coming), I’d have been here much later.

Interesting point that Joe made concerning most teams in contention looking for hitters. I wonder if the decline of PED use has anything to do with that? Perhaps pitching has just gotten better.
Lots of “star” hitters having off years this season. Not to suggest that they all were juiced previously, but it makes me wonder…

When the Cubs win everyone sings the Go Cubs Go song which is kinda cheesy but it is pretty cool when you are in Wrigley with all those fans and here it live. I went up last season for two games and thought it was pretty cool how they all get into it.

cabravesfan – he gave it to RHR last week, so I got it there, and did spring it on him until early last night. Feel free to have him pass mine along to you. And it was 4 out of 5 times in the last two weeks, but he seemed so sincere this time (and when he says we should get together 3 times next week). I am now working on forging ties with my new 22 person class – already one young lady stayed after class to ask for my help beyond the GRE (I hate it when that happens). And good job turning at least one person in favor of GA.

I like your theory too from a couple of pages ago. The only problem would be if the Phils and or Mets make a major trade. I am really afraid that the Phils are going to go out and pick up a big time pitcher. But, as has been mentioned here before, the crop of available starting pitchers is pretty thin. We could possibly have the best starting pitcher on the market (Javy) and we certainly will not deal him to the Phils. Seeing the Phils and Mets play poorly over the last week has raised my spirits a little.

If this were the old days or at least a time when we knew how to win and that we were going to win, we’d be heading to the World Series.
I don’t know how long Soriano is going to be on this team but I’m not taking it for granted. He is incredible to watch.
If it were Game 7 in the World Series and we had any of the three starters going and Soriano and Gonzo in the bullpen it would be game over.

bravesman – Joe was complaining that the built a hotel that blcked the old view from Camden Yards. He tried to draw a tower that you used to be able to see before the hotel. As he drew the tower, it looked more and more like a male “part” – if you know what I mean. It was really funny, even though it really wasn’t meant to be.
