Timmy is a dumb arse
June 19th, 20099:18 pm
Time to take out Kawakami, he always starts to struggle after 6 innings.
Why is it every time I take my set off mute, I am treated to Chip Caray giggling, chortling, guffawing to some idiotic thing he himself has said? Meanwhile, dumbass’ banter goes on as the game takes a back seat.
I want to hear Joe’s commentary, but Chip’s incessant blathering about nothing derails the game for me.
BACK TO MUTE
Moylan in for the Braves I love that there are not commercials on peachtree on directv they keep you at the game and can hear the 7th inning stretch and cant wait to hear sweet caroline in the 8th
By now everyone knows how you feel about JF,give it a break dumass…
LAST NIGHT was a complete for Vazquez – now if you meant a complete game win …..I dunno
Tampa now within 1 run of the mets.
*Don’t worry Kotch, they can’t be on the whole series … those outs will become hits if you keep doing what your doing
Garrett has played a lot of games in this park and a more than a handful of postseason AB’s here as well. Seems his has a comfort zone in old Fenway. As a DH, he sure looks comfortable in that. What was his break down on starts as position player/DH with the Halo’s over the last few years I wonder. Maybe a question for CABravesfan?
June 19th, 20099:19 pm
Baltimore has men in scoring position…2 out in the top of the 8th.
Kawakami hadn’t even thrown 80 pitches yet. I don’t get taking him out now?
wow that swing from Lowell was hidious!
June 19th, 20099:20 pm
Did Joe really get in trouble with the FCC? lol
KK only threw 83 pitches. Whatsup with that?
June 19th, 20099:21 pm
After I typed that I realized you weren’t in Baltimore and you probably wouldn’t know…lol
I don’t get taking him out now?
Should have at least sent him out see if had anything left, keep on on a short rope if need be .. if the first two guys reach/score then take him out.
Frenchy looks good in Boston
First thing that was not a dp ball thjat was hit to Escabor. It really ticks me off that Joe Simpson shows his dislike of Escabor. If he was a true professional he would leave his personal feelings outside the booth. On that error by Escabor, anybody that wanted to see it could see that he had to regrip the ball before he threw to first. If that had been Chipper,Joe would have been all over that making excuses.Oh by the way, what kind of player was Joe?He knows everything. Why is KJ at secondbase?
Feliciano put out the fire for the Mets. 4-3, heading to the bottom of the 7th. I’m surprised they didn’t promote Feliciano to the 8th inning guy, even though he’s a lefty.
June 19th, 20099:22 pm
Um Braves didn’t play last night…they play yesterday afternoon…and they won…and Hanson pitched….WOW
Looks like Moylan maybe getting his stuff back.
cabravesfan – as I told Tom last night (in private), I enjoy playing up our “feud” for the sake of the audience, and last night I just gave up hanging out because it was dead on the blog, but within a half hour after I left it picked up (maybe not a concidence). Of course, had I known the moron I was meeting this morning would cancel for the 4th time in 5 meetings (ok, maybe I should have seen it coming), I’d have been here much later.
What happend with Joe Simpson?
June 19th, 20099:23 pm
Radio guys talking about Moylan’s new adjustments. Something with his stomach, lol. Looks like it’s working.
good point jj
June 19th, 20099:24 pm
Peter has been performing better of late…this is true. A nice outing again tonight.
Garret played mostly in the outfield for the Angels…breakdown like this:
1755 games in OF (1273 in LF, 404 in CF, 154 in RF)
235 games as DH (59 last year vs. 82 in the OF)
over his 16 total seasons in the majors, including this year (played at least one game at DH for 13 years)
June 19th, 20099:25 pm
Sorry Bravos, of course you are right –
It was YESTERDAY
sori and goonzo closing it out
oops my bad again – u r right – it was Widnesday, right?
What’s Glen Hubard got in his right ear?
June 19th, 20099:26 pm
Only two bad outtings in quite a while for Peter really (coming into tonight)

G.Anderson is finally getting healthy.He.s a Pro and has been one for years.I hope some of these lovechilds of some of you fans turn out as well.
June 19th, 20099:27 pm
Hearing aid..that is what happens when you get old…mcfann
If he has cancelled 4 out of 5 weeks, yes, you should have seen that coming! And I totally know you two are blog BFF’s (although I was informed he didn’t have your e-mail…I’m wounded that he does and I don’t!)
June 19th, 20099:29 pm
The RedSox announcers (Dennis Eckersly is very good color man) are saying Dice K may be removed from the rotation after this game.
Im glad they left the Atlanta Braves back in atlanta……….Wonder who this guys are……….Who cares…….they are good.
Nice AB by Nate.
Nate taking that walk
June 19th, 20099:30 pm
cabravesfan – excellent work! Thanks for breaking that down. Helps me at least see what type of player he was with the Angels. Nice work bro!
How, that’s four more two-strike balls taken by McLouth. He must have an incredibly good eye.
YE is working on that routine again. LOL
June 19th, 20099:31 pm
How = Wow
I believe the Sox have an off day on Monday and they have already said Smoltz should make his first start on Thursday, which would be Dice-K’s next start…seems to work out perfectly for them
June 19th, 20099:32 pm
you’re welcome, but in the interest of full disclosure, I am female
June 19th, 20099:33 pm
Who is singing shana na na goodbye?
Interesting point that Joe made concerning most teams in contention looking for hitters. I wonder if the decline of PED use has anything to do with that? Perhaps pitching has just gotten better.
Lots of “star” hitters having off years this season. Not to suggest that they all were juiced previously, but it makes me wonder…
June 19th, 20099:34 pm
Sox PA playing “Sweet Caroline” and whole crowd singing along…sweet!
That’s what I thought it was…
The Sox fans sing NEIL DIAMOND? What putrid taste.
Now THIS makes no sense!
June 19th, 20099:35 pm
One of the cool things they do up there in Fenway.
5 run lead
Soriano is throwing some serious smoke.
Soriano bringing the heat!
June 19th, 20099:36 pm
Nick Green, you are no match for Rafael Soriano.
I’m sure Gonzalez is warming up…
I’m not an ass…I was just telling you…I mean…you got the time and pitcher wrong….that means you must have missed the whole game. Especially since we won yesterday.
4-2, top of the 9th for the O’s….Come on O’s!
June 19th, 20099:37 pm
WHAT DID JOE DRAW????
Gonzo in the 9th? Time to make a precautionary beverage.
Holy crap Soriano is straight up dealing.
WOOOO HOOOO 5-2 now for BAL
When the Cubs win everyone sings the Go Cubs Go song which is kinda cheesy but it is pretty cool when you are in Wrigley with all those fans and here it live. I went up last season for two games and thought it was pretty cool how they all get into it.
cabravesfan – he gave it to RHR last week, so I got it there, and did spring it on him until early last night. Feel free to have him pass mine along to you. And it was 4 out of 5 times in the last two weeks, but he seemed so sincere this time (and when he says we should get together 3 times next week). I am now working on forging ties with my new 22 person class – already one young lady stayed after class to ask for my help beyond the GRE (I hate it when that happens). And good job turning at least one person in favor of GA.
peedroia is worse than me
5-2 Orioles top of the 9th.
I am on record that we need to remove Anderson from this team and clubhouse. ROB
you’re on record with a lot of incredibly stupid remarks. no surprise tonight baby boy.
I like your theory too from a couple of pages ago. The only problem would be if the Phils and or Mets make a major trade. I am really afraid that the Phils are going to go out and pick up a big time pitcher. But, as has been mentioned here before, the crop of available starting pitchers is pretty thin. We could possibly have the best starting pitcher on the market (Javy) and we certainly will not deal him to the Phils. Seeing the Phils and Mets play poorly over the last week has raised my spirits a little.
June 19th, 20099:38 pm
How about Soriano… the guy a bunch of us wrote off as Mike Hampton Part Two? Takes forever to decide anything about a baseball player, doesn’t it?
man on 2nd
June 19th, 20099:39 pm
How’s that for pitching two days in a row? All you whiners need to learn a little about baseball.
Rays threatening again. 2 on base, one out. Mets still up 4-3.
Steve from OH
Man, Soriano has been dynamite this season. Absolutely filthy.
red sox fans are like florida gator fans. they just found out they have a team. and their fans came from the woodworks
June 19th, 20099:40 pm
Anyone else think Soriano is pitching for a free agency contract?
When are the Braves pitchers going to knock somebody down.Escabor gets decked constantly and nobody responds?Maybe he needs a little TP in him I thought sure Soriana was going to deck N.Green.
chris from md
I hate to sound biased but Soriano might be the best reliever in baseball right about now.
Chris from md
Sutton just said Chip’s hair was baseballs best. Wonder what kind of cream did he use? Back to mute.
Why the he!! can’t the Braves play like this all the time. Great game for KK.
A healthy Soriano is untouchable! Good to have him back to his old ways.
June 19th, 20099:41 pm
I was at Wrigley last year as well. And I didn’t know about Go Cubs Go so it kinda freaked us out when 40k people started singing a song I’d never heard.
and in comes the third japanese pitcher of the game
all the Banwaggon nation fans that live near me are really quiet tonight! I love it!
June 19th, 20099:42 pm
5-2 O’S OVER PHILS
soriano has to get some consideration for the all star team.
the dude looks like the voodoo priest from “live and let die,”
that is five straight strikeouts. nasty stuff.
Would someone remind me why Soriano isn’t our default closer?
If this were the old days or at least a time when we knew how to win and that we were going to win, we’d be heading to the World Series.
I don’t know how long Soriano is going to be on this team but I’m not taking it for granted. He is incredible to watch.
If it were Game 7 in the World Series and we had any of the three starters going and Soriano and Gonzo in the bullpen it would be game over.
What a difference a nerve transposition makes.
June 19th, 20099:43 pm
Dang. Green mans up on the Rays. Mets lead 4-3 going into the bottom of the 8th.
boo rays!! first and second, 1 out … two strikeouts in a row to end it.
hope KRod has another blown save in him.
Sori looking GREAT tonight!
He actually gave it to Roman Gal so she could pass on some pictures to me but I will ask him to pass it along to me
I’m sure he was sincere, just as much as you are when you say you hate it when the academically spectacular ladies ask you to work with them after class
I am determined to make every Braves fan on the blog appreciate Garret and Casey as much as I do- it’s a work in progress
Tune in at 1 am for the latest on the love triangle that spans America
I gotta vote for Tom,Jim is nice, but Tom is my buddy. I tried to suggest a compromise with a menage a trois, but they seem to be averse to that solution.
fenway sounds very quier on the tv

June 19th, 20099:44 pm
Tell Hanson to stay away from Pendleton!
i meant quiet
Bet KK is a megastar back home now.
I’m stealing borrowing someone else’s wireless internet this evening…hah!
June 19th, 20099:45 pm
bravesman – Joe was complaining that the built a hotel that blcked the old view from Camden Yards. He tried to draw a tower that you used to be able to see before the hotel. As he drew the tower, it looked more and more like a male “part” – if you know what I mean. It was really funny, even though it really wasn’t meant to be.
June 19th, 20099:46 pm
That’s just wrong….lol
is he in any trouble?
i love joe and boog
