Why is Kelly starting!?!?! Why isn’t Prado in there?
June 19th, 20096:54 pm
“told by a scout who’s seen Smoltz on rehab to not expect too much,”
“Glavine will not pitch this season.”

oops… my dashes look like minuses. What I get for being cute.
DOB… yes, White Rabbits new album is pretty outstanding. i was able to see them last Thursday at Bonnaroo… it was a great way to start off the festival, i should add!

ChopChop-Isn’t that what I said? that Chipper wouldn’t be traded?
June 19th, 20096:57 pm
D. Lee ties game in bottom of the ninth with a blast.
Chi. trailed 7-1 at one time.
June 19th, 20096:59 pm
Sun’s out, game’s gonna start on time.
Can Ross play first? 2006 & 2007 almost 550 at bats and 38 homers. Duhhh
We may have that right handed power bat already on our team. We do have him another year. Bat him against lefties and Kotch against righties, along with resting Brian when necessary. I love Kelly but Prado deserves a shot. Ball players are different today as all young people are. Hard work and respect for your job is a lost art. Bobby ( the greastest coach from a player stand point ) has a tough assignment massageing these young egos ( which we have caused with these insane salaries ) deserves to be there until he is ready to leave. Just pray Escobar turns the tide like Andrew did because he will be great. I just hope as a BRAVE.

Nathan-Me too. I’ve got a Loudness CD with some of the lyrics in Japanese. StevefromOH and I were talking about it a while back-their guitarist can rip it with the best of them. Dude’s pretty damned good. Later, got to go watch the perpetual rain delay.
June 19th, 20097:03 pm
Sure, Lew. I just wanted to type.
…For some reason I am excited about tonight’s game. Can the O’s continue to put up “W’s” against the NL East? Can the Rays continue to improve against the Mets? Can the Braves take advantage of their perceived pitching advantage?
Let’s play some ball already!
June 19th, 20097:08 pm
Lets light this candle!
Braves farm system sux, Frenchy’s great, and we should trade Chipper…
Bisher and peyote?
June 19th, 20097:09 pm
kelly again tonight. truly amazing. i dont know if it’s wise for dob or carroll to ask cox what in god’s name it’s gonna take to get kelly out of the lineup, but somebody needs to ask the question. maybe furman bisher ought to call bobby and get some answers about why cox plays KJ & JF endlessly.
June 19th, 20097:10 pm
Let the game begin!
June 19th, 20097:11 pm
Here we go….
Nice way to start the game
June 19th, 20097:12 pm
First pitch at 7:12, first Braves run at 7:12.
McLouth first-pitch homer, 12th homer of the season for the CF.
Yeah McLouth! Let’s do this.
Before they even sat down … at a boy Nate!
Believe it baby!
This is on. Put the W sign up. It’s over.
On and over.
June 19th, 20097:13 pm
Three pitches, two hits.
not a bad start…
2 batters… 2 hits… could be good.
Four pitches, three hits, runners at second and third, and the BOOOS have begun.
Kenny K has shown he can step up to the challenge in big matchups (Halladay) and Dice K hasn’t been that great so far.
I like our chances tonight and the next ten days. I for one am not going to be in awe of the Red Sox (who we play pretty well against) or a Yankees team who just lost 2 of 3 to the Nats.
Four pitches, three hits.
June 19th, 20097:14 pm
WTF??? Who are these guys and what did they do with my Braves?
um, maybe “booo” is Japanese for Dice-k?
That’s right you’re boing Sox fans. Warm up those vocal chords.
Your cab story isn’t unusual. Boston cabbies are notorious for taking “short cuts” that greatly increase the fare — often saying it will help “avoid traffic.”
June 19th, 20097:15 pm
Getting an early lead has to help KK. Let’s get a few more….keep up the hit parade Big Mac!!
June 19th, 20097:16 pm
Boo birds. I love it.
Bases Loaded & No Outs!
This is why Smoltzie didn’t want to pitch against us.
I don’t think Dice-K wanted any part of McCann.
Wow…bases juiced. BUT…GA coming to the plate. Start the cursing now.
June 19th, 20097:17 pm
I wonder what GA’s career BA is here in Fenway? He by far has the most at bats at this park?
2-0…like the patience from Big Mac and GA so far.
June 19th, 20097:18 pm
So first he can’t miss the plate and now he can’t seem to find it…not that I’m complaining
Will take a bases loaded walk ~_~
Whoa nelly! Bases load walk…that is our specialty, huh?
12 pitches: 9 balls, 3 strikes and the strikes were homer, single, double. Wow.
I’m ready to howl at the moon… in a good way.
Let’s go for the jugular. Might as well be the World Series.
He got that ring as a rookie. He’s been chasing another one for his whole career. (CHOP)
he has stated a number of times over the years that he hates to DH. He has also said many times that he wants to finish as a Brave. I kinda doubt he would ok most deals. I also kinda doubt that he would really bring all that much back in a trade with his injury history. The most likely chance to get a big return would be a trading deadline deal and that is the type that I think he would be least likely to OK.
June 19th, 20097:19 pm
Please don’t take him out! He’s pitching great in my book!
Derisive applause after he finally threw a strike there.
June 19th, 20097:20 pm
Go figure… 8 straight balls…and then Matt goes to 0-2
RHP = Diaz’s Kryptonite ~_~
I am so mad. I can’t believe he swung at that.
Dammit Matt, you’re killin’ me.
No reason to swing if you are Diaz there…
June 19th, 20097:21 pm
WHAT IS THE SCORE?
So… our 6 spot comes up with bases loaded & no outs and the pitcher falling apart. I wonder if they can do it…. I wonder if they can put up a doughnut against all odds.
Diaz K. One down.
18 Wheels of Love
Hola from Playa Guiones, Costa Rica. First time checking in after 7 days away. Same old story, huh? I’m out of here tomorrow. No more Trits for me!
Don’t that be it all ~_~
They did it. They really did it.
June 19th, 20097:22 pm
Ay-yi-yi. Of course we only get one freebie run out of a bases loaded no out situation.
We’re still going to win.
Darn – could have been a lot better.
The way the Braves have een going lately, leaving the bases loaded has to make them feel uneasy. We’re up 2-0, but feels like it should have been lots more to me
Let’s see if that comes back to haunt them, not taking advantage of that fully.
Bad luck for Kotchman there.
2006 & 2007 almost 550 at bats and 38 homers. Duhhh (Michael P)
and a career .220 BA, duhh!
Coach ( 2010 or Bust)
June 19th, 20097:23 pm
Beautiful. They had Dice-K on the ropes and let him off the hook. Bad pitching and even worse offense.
Crap. thought we were gonna bust it open. oh well 2 runs and the lead is better than i expected.
Casey hit the ball hard, just right at the first baseman. Nothing you can do about that. That’s like having pocket kings and running into pocket aces in Texas Hold’em poker. Kind of hard to get away from that hand.
That’s haunted the Braves in the past. My guess is that it comes back to bite ‘em later.
June 19th, 20097:24 pm
You just saw the story of the Braves offense, the bottom of the lineup is bad, very bad. The Phils or the Mets when healthy would put about 4 runs on the board. See why we are in 4th place.
June 19th, 20097:25 pm
you know he’s in protective custody now, right? He fears the wrath of McFann
That’s for sure! He doesn’t want any part of me just like Dice-K didn’t want any part of BMac!
I’m Glad I didn’t see the top of the first, Did It P’s You off…? If it did I would’ve been going off…!
June 19th, 20097:26 pm
Dave O’Brien…….I have a feeling that Dice-K will have more problems with his control. The Braves will score runs off Boston tonight. Casey lining into a double play isnt going to ruin the Braves tonight. It isnt like Roy Halladay or Johan Santana is pitching tonight.
Good start for KK. Sucking me back in.
June 19th, 20097:27 pm
Mcafann & Heath Is in the House…
I think the Braves Come Correct and take 2 of 3 this series…

Let me tell you Tomahawkin – same ol’ same ol’.
At least we got 2 though. KK’s pitching well so far though.
June 19th, 20097:29 pm
Hell Yeah baby!
KK, we need Toronto 2.0 tonight.
Like what I’m seein’ so far…
KK appears to be jacked up, he is hitting 93 and 94.
3 up 3 down cmon kennnnnnnn
So far so good…
June 19th, 20097:30 pm
DOB is that really 93MPH gas from KK tonight???
June 19th, 20097:31 pm
Excellent 1st for KK
Good stuff KK!
June 19th, 20097:32 pm
WOW, Kamakaze Looked Good in the first, maybe we should do a 6-man rotataion….
Let’s get some you-know-what-ing runs.
Three up…three down. Can’t argue with that from KK.
AND…2-2 now in Philly!!! Nice…very nice.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
