Note: we should go righty heavy in Boston because the Green Monster turns otherwise routine fly balls pulled by right handed hitters into extra-base hits all the time. Another note, because left
field is difficult to play at Fenway, if Loaf is in the line-up it better be as DH.

DAP…we’ll just have to agree to disagree there. The numbers (RF, fielding percentage, etc….) all suggest a middle-of-the-pack defensive 2B, but I think the numbers give him more credit than he deserves. I will, however, agree that he is better than when he first moved to that position. However, for this team, Prado could provide equal 2B defense and provide better offensive numbers.

Tommy’s first had it’s ups and lots of downs…but he has continued to look better and better as we go along. His ERA is down to a respectable 4.60… Keep it up young fella.

just calling it like I see it, KJ has been piss poor for most of the season. To certain extent, Omar covered up how bad Kelly really was. Now that teams saw how to get him out, which is by letting him get himself out, he has struggled mightily.

I don’t think there is any doubt the Braves have the best catcher combo in the league. Ross can rake folks. We really don’t lose much at all when McCann is out of the lineup. Sorry McFann.

Just as I said the other day, look at the effect of Prado and Diaz in the lineup already accounting for both runs. Now just play them regularly over johnson and francouer or anderson and we will be better off. Too bad moron cox won’t realize this and will continue giving johnson chances he doesn’t deserve.

Is it just me, or do the boys seem to get more amped up when Hanson starts? Chipper with 2 bombs in Hansons debut, they came from behind to win. They pulled out all the stops in Hansons 2nd game, and today they seem fired up as well.

Wow…..12 hits led to TWO runs on Tuesday and 5 hits led to FOUR runs today. All because of two HRs and a double. See what some power in the lineup will do. You folks (Coach and others) that scream for speed, what they really need is more pop in the lineup.

The main thing with Diaz is that he is 31 years old and hungry. He has infinitely less mileage on his legs than Garret. Diaz also hasn’t accomplished as much as Garret has in his career, so he doesn’t have many laurels to rest on. That’s why he should be in there every day (or just about every day). He’s not bad enough against righties (.716 OPS) to make him a strict platoon player.
