Clout…game winner here we go!
KJ doubles to the left center field gap to lead off the inning.
Javy looks to bunt him over to third, and he makes a great effort. KJ to third with one out.
Great bunt. Glad cox is leaving him in there
Javy can lay down a bunt better than anyone on the team.

Thank you for listening BOBBY!!!!!
Javy is a legit baseball player….
Why would we want to trade such a solid contributer?
rob from sc
that was ugly
LOL. I mighta spoke too soon
Can’t say I’ve seen “that” play before! Talk about an attempted foot sweep with the bat.
Thats one way to try to take the pitcher out
Nice rip Kelly. Way to DRIVE the ball to the opposite field. I know that Kelly has had his struggles, however he has some pop in his bat.
Meanwhile, Vazquez has pitched 7 innings, 10 strikeouts, one run, and no walks. Way to lay the bunt down Vazquez. I’m glad that I picked Braves pitching for my ESPN fantasy baseball team for today. So far, lol.

Javy with sac bunt! That’s as good as you can do it. Nate way to try and take out Maholm. We can’t hit against him
and there we go
Come on Escobar, use you’re clutch.
And McLouth strikes out leaving it in Escobar’s hands. Need a hit.
Ninety feet away with no outs! McLouth whiffs. Left to Escobar with two outs.
Brian the Brain
Extremely hard rain and lightning in Cumming headed towards the Stadium.
Need Esco to make up for the…eh hem… error.
Is there a worse team at making contact with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs?
June 11th, 20093:05 pm
Sweep the leg, Nate!
There is where Escobar has been at his best this season
Tomhawkin, he’s had one hitless game and today since his last two-hit game. Is that really “falling off?” Pujols just had an 0-for-15 before his hit yesterday. It happens.
Come on Esco!
June 11th, 20093:06 pm
GAWD THIS OFFENSE SUCKS!!!
this team is bad. flat out bad.
Escobar hits that one deep enough for the sac fly. Too bad there were already two outs. On to the eighth.
I wish KJ would steal home instead of relying on a timely hit.
I’m guessing nothing happened? Radio is delayed.
Lead off double leads to nothing
Coach ( Moon Pie, Anyone?)
Dig in boys, we can’t let these filthy cut throats out of town with a split!
This team blows, McLouth is officially a Brave, anti-clutch and slumping with the rest of the team.
June 11th, 20093:07 pm
Left a run out there again. Man, this team has to learn to manufacture runs sometimes. A homerun won’t always happen.
Even McLouth gets stained with the abysmla hitting bug…..
McCann game winner off the bench in the 9th
Yup, nothing happened. What else is new?
Tough pitcher. Hope that was his last inning.
Why couldn’t McLouth have done what Esco just did, fly out, when that’s all we needed to score a run?
*shakes head.* We are the pop-uppinest team in the bigs, with RISP and 2 outs, I do believe.
I was not serious, by the way. But it seems like our chances today with getting a timely hit and stealing home are about 50/50.

D.O.B. True About the Comments About Chipper…I was more-of Venting about the offense as a whole on that post…
It seems Like they only hit when he does…!
Javy deserves better than this.
I told you this team was no threat, lead off double and nothing to show for it. What the hell Nate, I guess welcome to TP land.
Whats the score and inning?
Javy recovered in spite of the two errors(Escobar and umpire)but had to throw a lot of unnecessary pitches. You know I wonder if the defensive errors are kept and available to the public who keeps the umpires stats, and what happens if an umpire struggles with calls in season? Also, is there a set number of missed calls before something is done?
June 11th, 20093:09 pm
Doesn’t someone eventually have to be accountable for this offense?
c jonze…………it isnt that I “want” to see Vazquez traded. It’s that the Braves NEED right handed power. There is NO way that the Braves are going to make any kind of run with the offense we have now. In order for the Braves to get that elusive big bat, we are going to have to trade something that another team covets (starting pitching). Of all the starters that can bring a big bat, the most likely candidate to be used as bait is Vazquez.
Now if Francoeur was producing in the manner that Braves management “expected” him to, then there would be no need to even discuss trading Vazquez. However, either the Braves keep what we have and give up on this season…or…the Braves explore options on improving our lack of power from the right side of the plate.
Now, if you have any realistic suggestions as to how the Braves can improve their lack of right handed power without giving up a starter of Vazquez’s caliber, then by all means, please post it.
Man Vazquez Is Clowning!!!
Javy is cooking with gas today.
103 pitches and Javy is in the 8th, this is never a good sign. Hope Bobby pulls him at the first sign of trouble.
11 k’s and counting

No matter the outcome of this game, Javy has been awesome!!
Javy back out in the eighth to get the bottom of the Pirates’ order.
J-Man – 1-1 top of the 8th
Jeff Schultz is spreading some awful rumors about me on his little Twitter thing. I think he told his minions that I had a Brady Bunch CD, or a Partridge Family CD, or something.
Anyway, glad I can be a source of amusement for Twitter boy. The denizens know better.
Wow. Javy’s still in the game? Crazy.
June 11th, 20093:11 pm
Escobar actully make a good through there
1957 Braves Fan
Another good pitching performance is being wasted. Pathetic.
You are right, I hope Barbaro stays here for good.
Javy is flat-out dominating today folks.
Javi nearing 110 pitches, he wants his (well deserved) win!
We are the pop-uppinest team in the bigs, with RISP and 2 outs, I do believe.
And, of course, that would be incorrect, as are most voiced perceptions here at any moment of failure.
Come on Braves, help the pitcher out and score a run or 2
This is a perverted world
What’s up with sick-o’s on this blog?
The same guy soliciting comments about what to do when his first baby is born, is making inappopriate comments about Lazer Baker.
This world is sick.
I hope you have a daughter, Brooklyn Brawler. Wait a second. I wish you weren’t having a kid.
Did I just hear Smoltz will make a start here? Chipper will own him.
June 11th, 20093:12 pm
Jeff Schultz is spreading some awful rumors about me on his little Twitter thing.
Uh. I hope everyone knows what twitter is.
Moss pinch hitting for Maholm. Braves get to try to win this against the Pirates’ bullpen.
Braves blow man on third one out.1and 2 hitters fail.77-85
forget the curveball Ricky
lawd hab murcy
June 11th, 20093:13 pm
By the way, so much for that majors-leading average with RISP and two outs. Does seem like they pile up a bunch of those hits after they’ve already got some games won, or maybe I’m just being cynical.
Must be Schultz rubbing off on me.
12 strikeouts!! Let’s get this man some runs!!
12 K’s, No BB’s, 8 innings. Have a day, Javy.
Javy strikes out Moss to end the inning.
Come on, boys! Get him a run!
does anyone know when this team will be completely healthy. when do omar and kotchman come off the dl
12 k’s. Mabey chipper will lead off with a hr
Frank from KS
I think if from day 1 til now, if the offense hadn’t been so bad….a game here and there where they struggle to score runs wouldn’t be so bad.
As it is….we have seen too much of this struggle as a whole all season to this point.
Javy looks good enough to finish this game himself.
Wow, 12 K’s. Think Javy is liking the NL and Cox better than the AL and Ozzie?
Javy Vazquez=bad a!!
Would you left Javy go 9 since he’s only thrown 113 pitches?
June 11th, 20093:14 pm
give him the heater!!!
c’mon boys, get one across now
DOB, you should never let Schultz rub off on you…
Line of rain/t-storms about to hit the park
34 quality starts, 29 wins…. something has to give.
Best outing of the season for Javy, or probably any Braves pitcher … but will he even get the decision?
Alright We Better Win This Game, Javy Has been Clowning and he could be on the line to lose this one…
There are gonna be some Mad Cats (Like the Firecrackers) on this blog if we drop this game because of the AWFense!!!
Awfense Come On!!!
I believe Javy is what they call “manning up.”
June 11th, 20093:15 pm
Come on chip
i think javy goes one more unless the braves take the lead.
June 11th, 20093:16 pm
Chipper gets his first hit of the day, Canizares gets his first RBI of his career and the Braves get the lead.
Vazquez has thrown 113 pitches through eight, but he looked really strong in that last inning. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him pitch the ninth if the Braves don’t score a run in this inning.
The Braves better win this one for Javy. This is probably one of his best performances in his career.
Joe: Yes, if all goes as planned, I heard that Smoltz will likely start against the Braves both in Boston (Sunday) and here (Friday or Saturday), which would be his second and third starts. He’s making his last scheduled rehab start tonight.
with the way both of these teams are hitting, my pitching numbers could EXPLODE if this game goes into extra innings. I picked the Braves pitching for my ESPN fantasy baseball team. I would rather see the Braves score now to win the game. However, if this game is going to go into extra innings, I might as well benefit. Just keep striking them out and walking no one, lol.
Come on Braves, do somethin!
I hope they let him finish but doubt he will
