H’ville has a lot of people moving in from “up top” like me. Still slow though. Whole state is really! I need the flashing lights of the city!

Way to go, Barbaro! Matty has the most horrible swings. Love Prado!

Oh well she’ll be fine with all the family in if you have to leave once the baby is born and everything is ok she won’t care if you make an exit. My ex husband was a doctor and my deliveries were scheduled to fit with his schedule. Delivered both in his hospital and I think I saw him for about 5 minutes after the births. But that was fine..good luck with everything.

Sid Bream’s Mustache Assistant – Hey I’m from Guntersville. Wow, from Dekalb county to Brooklyn? I’m guessing THAT was an adjustment. I love the Mobile area, good choice.

Sanchez baubles the double play ball and only gets Diaz. Barbaro to second.

Francœur has a chancet to really upset his haters if he can get a base hit and an RBI here.

With that tidbit on Baltimore’s hitting, we should expect extra innings in the next three games, because the Braves will probably match them hit for hit.

A looping single in the second, and a low liner to right in the 4th for 2 hits are simply not going to convince me that Franceour has “turned” the corner. If getting punch and Judy hits are cause for celebration, then that is really a sad sad reality for Jeff Franceour. When Chipper and McCann get singles, we clap but are not surprised.

If Franceour were to SHOW me that he can drive the ball and start getting on a run of doubles and homers, then MAYBE I’ll re-evaluate my position. However, I simply do not seeing Francoeur ever getting on that kind of streak.

WOW, a walk for Francoeur! The Apocalypse is upon us. 2-2 with an RBI and a walk. Sign the guy to a 10 year, 160 mil contract extension!

that it is okay to leave. When you witness your first child’s birth and the dire effort your wife put in for this occasion, you will see
life much more differently that you do now. A life changing experience is coming your way so be in place to take it all in, at once.

Javier Vazquez is pitching very well once again. If Franceour was the kind of power hitter that the Braves counted on, then the Braves wouldnt even have to consider trading Vazquez for a right fielder. Having Vazquez eat up innings, keeping the Braves in the ballgame start after start is an asset any team will have.

And to think that some moron last night suggested that the only way the Braves could trade Vazquez would be if the Braves were to “eat” part of his contract. $11.5 mil this year and next is a BARGAIN for a starter of Vazquez’s caliber. I would hate to get rid of him, however if the Braves are going to get some right handed power, they are going to have to give up quality to get quality.

Even though Escobar should have made a better throw, the umpire totally missed that call. Dude was tagged out. Let’s see how Vazquez pitches around that error.

Unless Barbaro is really a hitter, and aside from the day time fluke we’re seeing from Francoeur….anytime McCann is out of the lineup, the opposing pitcher legitimately gets 3 free INNINGS worth of outs from our 4-9 hitters. It’s embarassing.

Tomahawkin, I agree. I would say that Atlanta is below average defensively. Joe…………The only reason I do not like to see Franceour have any success is because it only delays further the need for Braves management to get rid of him. Any “glimpse” of success buys Franceour another 2 weeks in the line-up. And 2 weeks from today, get back with me on what Francoeur’s numbers are then. I tell you what, today is June 11, I’ll keep a daily track of Francoeur’s number starting tomorow and on June 25th, I’ll make a reference back to this posting and post what Francoeur’s numbers are since his “breakout” 2 single, one walk, one RBI day so far today, lol. It will be interesting to see what you guys think of how today’s game affected the Braves the next 2 weeks.

If Francoeur could consistently DRIVE the ball for the Braves, then of course I wouldnt be so cynical when he gets a couple of singles.
