We all know that Norton didn’t hurt his ankle so why don’t the Braves just go ahead and DFA him instead of this DL charade?

It would be nice to have someone who is actually accustomed to DH-ing when this team plays in the A.L. It seems that they have never taken advantage of an extra hitter in the lineup.

Francoeur for MVP!!!!

Hi – new poster here. With Norton’s power bat out of the lineup for two weeks, do the Braves have a shot at competing? I’m sure Bobby Cox’s genius ability will keep them in games, but can Francoeur carry the team without Norton and Infante? Maybe Garret Anderson? Thanks, I’ll hang up and listen.

Canizares DH’d in the minors (and probably in Cuba, I imagine), so you can say he’s accustomed to it.

Mentioned it on the last blog, but there are two interesting facts about two of the Braves Draft picks:

How about Ben Zobrist? He is a guy that would step right in (like Hawpe) and help this offense. The rays are in desperate need of an everyday catcher, and the braves have Ross who has proven to be more than a back-up. I actually like Zobrist much more than DeRosa. I would love to see a move made soon to sure up the OF/ Offense.

How about Zobrist for Ross, Acosta, and KJ? Pipe-dream?
