Hey Beavis. Check it out. Don just said “pitch a tent” on the radio! Huh. Huh. Huh..
Yunel will ground out.
The bullpen better be ready. I don’t see JJ going past 5-6 innings tops.
My tent is ALWAYS “pitched”.
June 10th, 20098:06 pm
Could have sworn you mentioned you were cutting off in-game blogging this year because you get so angry. What changed your mind?
Wow, can’t score runs!
Frank from KS
I bet if you were married to a woman such as Shania Twain (her ex Mutt is definately a dog and an idiot), Elizabeth Hurley, Christie Brinkley, Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston…just to name a few….you wouldn’t think about straying.
I know I wouldn’t. I’m very unique in that I’m a rare one woman guy.
Why do we care how many innings JJ goes? We are going to have to score 3 runs to win this…anyone see that happening?
One of those nights
June 10th, 20098:07 pm
Shhhh! You’ll wake the Braves.
Love those bulldogs.
June 10th, 20098:08 pm
Y’all realize that the “law of mediocrity” is what’s causing this lackluster play, right?
One game over .500, three game winning streak, our “ace” on the mound?
Not a chance in hell of winning this game. The baseball gods, decided this outcome the second the Braves won last night. (sigh)
In honor of Paul Lentz I felt compelled to go ahead and vote for Franceour for the All Star Team! I feel so much better.
It’s possible. Dang! Did you learn NOTHING from these last 3 games?
I wanna say, we’re only down by two…. but, don’t wanna jinx us.
So, I won’t.
No MFin, theres no way it will happen. Now go down in the basement with your brother Anders and watch the Mets game.
MFin04, ummm, seeing as how we have score more than 3 runs the past 3 games, yeah, I can see that happening. Jeez dude, you are the most pessimistic person I have ever met, its only the 4th inning.
How did this blog turn into Paul Lentz’s “love life” all of a sudden?
Can we get back to the Braves please. Surely there is a lifestyle blog somewhere on the AJC happy to entertain that very topic.
Really need a quick inning here.
June 10th, 20098:09 pm
Elizabeth Hurley bored me.
I would much prefer to roam the streets of San Francisco looking for hookers.
MFin04 u say McLouth sucks hte 2 posts late you praise him!!!!!!!! Go back to the METS board bitch!!!!!!!!!!
June 10th, 20098:10 pm
Braves still 3-0 minus Francoeur….
hearing about Lentz’s sex life IS ALOT LIKE talking about the Braves.
Both have a hard time scoring!!!!!!
June 10th, 20098:11 pm
brewdawg, you asking me to leave? LOL!
If you’ll notice. I’m not really commenting on what’s going on from batter to batter, and analyzing every pitch from JJJ.
Just “hangin” out. Besides. Win or lose, we won this series, and as long as that continues to happen, we’ll be fine. Nothing to get upset about, once the lineup was posted. With Norton and Francoeur in the lineup together (and hitting back to back), was the outcome of this game ever in doubt?
Here we go, here come some runs this inning for the Bravos!
Let’s get it going!
When my stomach growls, sometimes it sounds just like Pee Wee Herman.
Talking about Lentz’s sex life is alot like talking about the Braves
Neither one can SCORE on a consistent basis.
Man, The Pirates Hitters are Making Double J Work!!!
I wish Our hitters would do more of this
June 10th, 20098:12 pm
What is Norton doing on this team? Just release the guy and bring up any kid from the minors, Release him and bring Schafer up again……..he is better.
Redsox beating on the yankees again. Gosh they make it look so easy………..6 games against them might become a nightmare, specially if we just score once a game.
Love those bulldogs. – RHR
June 10th, 20098:13 pm
You are the most negative person on here. No one said anything about Nate being bad, he just double clutched and didn’t come up throwing. That has nothing to do with his defense!
Dog of Flanders
haven’t won the series yet – 4 games
LMAO @ Hugh Grant.
Another idiot. (the REAL Hugh Grant, that is)
or his offense!
June 10th, 20098:14 pm
Hey why is Mclouth wearin a yellow wrist band?
June 10th, 20098:15 pm
Ask McCann if, when he shops, he prefers paper or plastic.
Some of you guys are more hopeful than realistic. This team’s offense needs another bat or two. We can’t continue with GA at the 5 spot and Norton at the 6th spot, especially with Frenchy at the 7th spot and KJ at the 8th spot. That gives us 3 or 4 innings of actually oppurtunity to score. Scoring 3 runs is less than likely.
“Hey why is Mclouth wearin a yellow wrist band?”
Tribute to Moises Alou?
June 10th, 20098:16 pm
Make that Big Mac a double.
Ok, Chipper and McCann are done. You can now take the next inning off. but be back for the 6th.
“To Live And Die With G.A.”
Why da hell is he hitting 5th…!
poor Charlie. Sux he got hurt. Obviously it helps us(i hope).
i dont know where analysts (or bloggers for that matter) get the stats like hitting with 2 strikes but big mac has to be well up there. He always seems to be very tough with 2 strikes
Ya know, if Ibanez is p*&^ed about what someone put on a Phillie blog…..just think of how Frenchy would feel if he read DOB’s blogs.
Tribute to French’s mustard.
June 10th, 20098:17 pm
Frank from KS………..While I have never been with any famous women like the ones you listed in your posting…..I have been with my share of hotties. One of the reasons why I will probably never get married is because I enjoy coming home to a quiet place, putting on the Braves game chilling without having to hear about how a woman’s day went. Going on a date and hanging out, I understand having to appease a woman by acting like you care about how her day went. But not every single day, lol. Women, in general, are needy. I am not interested in having to validate someone on a daily basis. If I want to watch sports all day long, or if I want to play poker all night at the card room, etc. I enjoy having the freedom to do what the f___ I want to do without either having to worry about whether I am paying enough attention to a female.
Call me selfish, but at least I am aware of it and I do not mislead any of the females I get involved with. Again, one good thing about living in San Francisco is the number of career minded women who arent looking to get married. My kind of woman is a woman who will “call you up” when she needs you to come over and give it to her good, lol, and then be more than ok with you not wanting to spend the night.
NIce nice hit McCann.
Hugh E. Reckshin
It’s an um….double for BMac!
brewdawg, besides, between my two boys, I’ve got anywhere between 4-5 nights of baseball and summer track, to deal with. So, for the most part, I’m usually not home during the games, until the late innings. Nothing goin’ on tonight.
Which is why I passed on the Extra Innings package this year. Didn’t want to spend the money to merely DVR the games. Got the mlbradio thing online, and for my ipod. Most of the baseball diamonds around here are near businesses or schools, so I can listen on the Ipod with thw wi-fi when out and about.
But I’ve consciously tried to minimalize the “in game” bitching. But sometimes it’s hard to stay silent. Besides. I’d be missing out on Paul’s “Penthouse Letters” if I were to have ignored the blog tonight, right?
Too bad McCann has Anderson and Norton directly behind him.
Good At Bat GA….Man Trade Him back to the A.L. NOW!!!
I missed it…did Loaf make another out? Hmm that’s shocking. He didn’t drive in a run?
Alou? Explain please.
My Gawd Garret!
June 10th, 20098:18 pm
Wasn’t this Norton guy on the PGA tour. I thnk the called him the Shark. Lots of high flys and dribblers
uh, double… Maybe he was reading your posts.
there’s Manny being Manny AND then there LOAF being LOAF!!
Chop It Up All-star
5 through 8 where do we find offense?
This is why we’re .500
Norton,Bennett,Garrett,Frenchy__These 4 individuals have no excuses they pulling team down.
KJ getting close

Murders Row task 1: Rally killed!
Other Than Our 1-4 Hitters Our Offense Blows!
We need the Bottom of the Order to step up!!! E
I think I’ve come up with a song for the 5-8 hitters in the lineup.
Supermassive Black Hole by Muse. Seems fitting, no?
Probably because he’s not hitting 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th in the lineup.
That Garrett Anderson was off stride. Surprise!
Hey what to Norton do? Did he make an out? I missed it? He didn’t drive in a run? That’s shocking, good thing those guys are batting 5th and 6th, they are great run producers. Keep dreaming about us scoring 3 runs.
The Greg Norton .100 Watch
Just 1 AB to go!
June 10th, 20098:20 pm
And just like the Braves offense, when I do score, I score in bunches, lol.
I think the hardest ball Norton has hit this year was when he nailed Glavine on the hip in the simulated game.
June 10th, 20098:21 pm
dude, Alou would pee on his hands before games. S’posed to make them tough, etc.
Ya know Bobby, there’s no rule anywhere that states the pitcher HAS to bat 9th.
Got it?? Good! Move Norton there
Paul Lentz, you sound like my kind of guy! We should party with my friend Heidi sometime. Good times indeed.
You can get those stats and a lot more of those by going to the player’s profile and click on “Situational Stats”. Go to ESPN.com.
June 10th, 20098:22 pm
If Frank Wren has no problem letting a future Hall of Famer go because he could not face big-league hitting, why do we keep guys that cannot face big-league pitching? It seems anyone in the farm system could not succeed like Norton and Anderson, but at least we would have hope.
Greg Norton future professions
“Wasn’t this Norton guy on the PGA tour”
He was a caddy. Dude can lug around a set of clubs and not break a sweat.
Norton reminds me of a bad version of Ruben Gotay all over again
Anderson, Norton, Francœur, Johnson,…one of them has to break out of his slump sometimes…right? right?
June 10th, 20098:23 pm
a pitcher that gets past McCann with the bases loaded probably still breathes a sigh of relief knowing its easy sailing from there. The 2nd half of our line up is laughable.
Looks like the Jurrjens start conundrum continues.
Greg Norton is...
this years winner of the Chris Woodcrap memorial award.
Charlie Sheen……….hanging out with you sounds good, give me a buzz when you have time. We’ll make a night out of it.
bigmacattack – the problem is we have 4 hitters that are worse than the pitcher. KJ, JF, GA, and Norton could all bat 9th.
June 10th, 20098:25 pm
That it was!
Maybe…he’s already hit 3 this month (course, that’s also what I said on April 11…but that was a bit differ’nt).
Hugh E. Reckshin–
Yeah, too bad…
N8 re: part of your 8:18 p.m.
“Besides. I’d be missing out on Paul’s “Penthouse Letters” if I were to have ignored the blog tonight, right?”
May I say your f*ing harlious(sp)!!
Who wants to be Frenchy gets down O-1 in this next at bat?
Mike Plefrey has 2 hits off of Hamels…
Paul Lentz – hang out with ME! You’re my kind of guy.
Paul Lentz-Does a person qualify for being a True Braves’ Fan if they have a Chop Talk article written about them entitled “The Art of Being A Fan”? I did.
Mets threatening to knock Hamels around. Bases juiced, one out, leading the Phils 2-1.
Nice going Jurrgens. Even though he didnt have his best stuff early, he’s made it through 5 with only the 2 runs. Still, plenty of time for the Braves to catch up.
June 10th, 20098:26 pm
A good couple of innings there from JJ. Now if only we knew how to hit…..
So, you think the trouble with scoring has anything to do with the .103, .242, .241, pitcher part of the line up? Half the line up is an auto-out. The best hope down there is a misfiring spark plug named KJ who has found his way back to that midseason rut he visits regularly.
Jurrjens dealing now. 90 pitches though.
4 hits, 4 runs in 5 innings so far for JJ, not bad at all. You cannot expect him to have a shutout every time out.
Nate the GR8
You claim to realistic but in “REALITY” you are one of the most “NEGATIVE” posters on this blog. Do us all a favor and shut the hell up because you have nothing good to say.
June 10th, 20098:27 pm
Oh Lew. Can I have your autograph?
Francine!!! Come On!!! Get us started!
Mets lead 4-1 bases still loaded
June 10th, 20098:28 pm
abwright If Frenchy Loaf, Snorton and KJ want to break out of the slump that may have to hang with this Paul Lentz cat
