nolie, yeah, I hear ya. Sucks. With how good their scouting department is, they could just clean house. Have you seen Alex White? What are your thoughts on him?
Don’t care where the All Star Game is being played…come on Baseball Fans start getting the picture that Brian McCann should start this All Star Game and not Molina for crying out loud!!!
I am not one to root against a player, just so I can be proven right. However seeing Franceour get that hit only further delays the importance of him being benched. Franceour supporters will immediately point to that as him “bursting out of it”. Unreal, but not surprising.
NOW THAT WAS A BOMBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB!!!!!!!!!!!!! NICE GOING MCCANN!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeff Franceour take note. Now that is how you TURN on and DRIVE a pitch. Chipper and McCann are hitting homers now. Franceour? Oh, he did hit that one homer, his only one since late April, and only his 4th all year.
Amazing what McLouth can do when he has guys in front of him that can consistently hit. Kind of like, I don’t know, how he hit when Jason Bay and Xavier Nady were in the Pittsburgh lineup?
“DOB, how is NATE in the clubhouse? Best trade I’ve seen in a while, been one of my favorite players the past 2 years, so glad to see him a brave”jordanM
I haven’t been in the Braves, or Pirates clubhouse in a while. So I can’t comment on McLouth in the clubhouse.
But man alive! If you’ve ever seen Ron Gant in a T-Shirt, you know what muscles are!
Drew had his best year in Atlanta; maybe lightning strikes twice? Throw in Nick Green — he had more hustle during his time with the Braves than I’ve seen all year. No skill — but hustle.
McCutchen, to his credit, is showing why the Pirates were justified in trading McLouth. I, for one, think that long-term, this will be a good deal for both clubs.
If i were the Pirates and wanted to win why not put McLouth in LF and call up McCutchin to play CF. I think it was a great trade for our braves, McLouth is under contract for like 3 yrs and Gorky’s was expendable since we have Shafer getting his sh1t st8t in AAA.

I heard Don Sutton say that was his second homer as a Brave. I think Don Sutton needs to lay off the acid.
