I am sorry, I misunderstood you in the beginning. I thought you were just a negative nellie. Instead, you are just another ordinary idiot.
Now, I feel better….
So who is left on the Bench now? Diroy Hernandez is it, right? Braves really needed to drop someone out of the bullpen to make up for the loss of Kotchman. Our pitchers pretty much have to hit now.
Frenchy is a complete joke.
i def think they will walk chipper if there is a runner on
He has that curve ball, but he seemed to loose it in the 5th and 6th.
June 7th, 20094:07 pm
Loaf is the most apathetic lookin’ dude. He looked so surprised when he hit that ball.
Ok McLouth time for your 1st big ATL hit!!!!!
Never said opinions are right or wrong. Coming on here calling people’s ability to do their job when they are considered one of the greatest ever to hold that position seems a little idiotic. Cox has actually handled the bullpen well. He utilizes Gonzo and Soriano to share closing duties. This has led to many Brave wins, and one situation when Soriano came on to save Gonzo’s mess. Worked out pretty well.
Again, his handling of the lineup is something he has done a lot over the past few years. He is trying to find a mix that works, but when the hitting has been lacking altogether, the lineup seems to be a moot point, right? If Chipper and Mac are the only ones stroking, what is he to do? More people have a say with the Frenchy situation than you think, I am sure.
Again, Frenchy situation seems to be what it is. He is giving him a chance to hit out of it, and it will not be given very soon IMO. I also think his trade value would be tarnished completely with a benching or demotion. Cox’s hands seem to be tied with this situation and I think there is more to it than we know.
Cox’s in-game strategy is something that can be questioned for sure. Every manager can be questioned on in-game decisions. As a fan, and you seem to be quite the educated one, it’s easy to sit here and second guess decisions after the fact. As they say, hindsight is 20/20. Does Cox make poor decisions in game? Absolutely. Does his work over the course of 162 game schedule enhance this organization? Again, it is my opinion that he does enhance this team.
My credentials are merely being a fan for many years. But I do not come on here and rant and rave about calling for peoples’s jobs or knowing all the answers to this team’s problems. I leave that up to the professionals. Doesn’t mean I agree with all that they do, but we have to be understanding that they are most likely playing percentages or past experiences that have been successful. But that seems to be too deep for some on here to even comprehend.
We just have 2 position player winners…………both of them account or all the RBI today………easy to notice who the players are.
June 7th, 20094:08 pm
ok, give a 3 run shot Mcclown.!!
WHAT NOW MCLOUTH HATER!
Welcome to Atlanta, Nate!
Welcome to Atlanta Nate McLouth!
ATTAWAY NATE!!!!!!! Man, that feels a little better.
Looks like Mr. CLOUT came through with a big double, eh!
NMac coming through!
WREN is amaizing, hanson off the hook!!!!!!
June 7th, 20094:09 pm
That hit should be awarded to Wren.
Yes!!! I called it!!!
Well, even though I picked McCann for my fantasy baseball team today, he still gives me 3 points with that at bat, plus he may come up again, lol. I didnt expect Chipper to play today so I didnt pick him for my fantasy team. I picked McCann because I didnt think that Bobby would rest McCann with Chipper not in the line-up. However, it was my misfortune to get it totally wrong. I picked Zimmerman instead to play 3rd on my fantasy team today (1-3 single, walk….which equals only 2 points).
WOW, way to go Nate McLouth!!!!!!!!! Big hit for the Bravos.
McLouth’s first big hit as a Brave…
There’s your RBI for McLouth. And Tommy is “off the hook”. No loss in his debut.
Now. With McCann and G. Anderson BOTH used up off the bench, I’ve got to seriously consider walking BOTH Escobar and Chipper to load the bases to get to Diaz and Francoeur.
Outside the box? Yup. But why pitch to these two guys?
N Nine (Send Frenchy down)
Guys, I’m very satisfied with McLouth battling leadoff, while Chipper gets his spot back.
June 7th, 20094:10 pm
Nate McLouth, you are not worthy of being a Brave unless you get a hit right here and now…
oh wait, he did.
Take that Boston Dove player.
If Yunel doesn’t get a hit here this game is going to like 18 innings. Or they’ll just score three runs off Gonzo and we’ll lose.
Bobby loves the F word….
What is Cox doing!!?? Pinch hitting McCann there!?
yunel just missed a double
Man I sure wish Kelly were still leading off!

I agree. I was (and still am) sick of all the damn Hanson talk.
He’s not God everybody. *rolls eyes*
McFann will be really happy now!
I agree with you…but after I’d have my pitcher walk 2 straight guys I’d bring in another guy, cause it’s hard to throw strikes after IBB;in two guys
Time for the 8th inning Trivia Question.
Name the two players leading the team in GIDPs. (Hint: It’s not hard)
Where are the Escobar haters now? Step right up!
June 7th, 20094:12 pm
good speed nate
Well, looks like we have another man on the team………..that adds up to 3
Chipper needs a double for the cycle….
Way to go McLouth, and Esco!!!! Now get that putrid sonofabitch Failcouer off this team!!!!!
ohhhh but the second time he pulls it offfffff wow who waas expecting this now if we blow it then gonzo should be released id go with soriono personally
Take that you Escobar bashers! Told you people this game wasn’t over!
Can we get a double from Hoss for the cycle?
YUNI !!! MY MAN !!!!
Serious bat flip there from ole dirty yunel…
Chipper is trying for the cycle and they walk him…that is UNCLASSY!
Ok guys lets get Gonzo started in the Bullpen and close this one out.
Love Nate’s speed….
Welcome to the Braves Nate McLouth!!!!
Walking Chipper LOL!
everybody on their feet and booing for the walk to chipper. love it.

Irrational Braves Fan
Where are you idiots who gave up on the Braves during the game? Down two runs and you want to blow things up and start over. Fools.
“I agree. I was (and still am) sick of all the damn Hanson talk. He’s not God everybody. *rolls eyes*” Frank
Yeah. But at least he’s not old enough to have hung out with god either. Like Glavine.
walk diaz and get to frenchy!!!!!!!!!! would be great.
There it is Bravo2249, that is all I wanted to know. McLouth’s first rbi in his 3rd game, 4th AB. And about the “lay off the alcohol” comment, I wasn’t drinking. But, if I were, would anyone here blame me with the way this team has played? I think not,
ESCO representing!!!! Nice…
Tomahawkin' Again (like it's 1991-2005)
If I’m the Brewers, I walk Diaz to get to Mr. O-fer
I think Chipper likes batting 3rd!
the worst thing that could have happened there actually was the advance on the throw… none the less… time to close this one out !
I guess they don’t want to give up the cycle, shaking my head.
Man, this is fun. Come on Diaz!
Free Swinging Diaz looked horrid on that
Come on Diaz bust this game wide open!!!!!!! make em pay for walking Hoss !!!!
June 7th, 20094:14 pm
The worst thing now in todays game is the Frenchy has one more chance to choke…
hope soriano close’s. don’t want a crazy 9th with gonzo.
How did Bobby handle the bullpen to keep the game at 7-5 and within striking distance? Did he do well? How about utilizing McCann off the bench, or the lineup he varied up for today? Suffice for your liking? Oh how much changes and people run away so quickly on here.
So much for Chipper hitting for the cycle.
I am going to say something I never say, But Jeff Failcouer I HATE YOUR STINKIN NO TALENT GUTS, get your ass off of my team!!!!
So, now, is this the spot were they intentionally walk Hoss??
WAY TO GO ESCOBAR!!!!!!!!! That is why we’ll tolerate those errors he makes on simple plays. He makes great plays, and he is a clutch hitter.
If we ever need a dominant outing from Gonzalez…it is TODAY.
Nope I don’t think they would…lol
Macha insists giving us the game.
we better take it.
Braves Fan 88
June 7th, 20094:15 pm
Ok Wayne, I feel real bad about that.
i would probably intentionally walk diaz here
thay just showed GONZO warmig up., we’ll go to the 13th inning.
What is the deal with that taking the helmet off the guy thing when they get in the dugout? That is incredibly gay.
Game’s not over here. Only a bomb here by Matty will help me get over the Chipper walk. I want me a cycle.
Come on Gonzo.
keep the one run lead gonzo!
Ok, Mike Gonzalez’s turn (I assume)
Look at this, nothing but positive comments flowing out!! The season is SAVED!!!!!
Whew. Lower part of the order for Brewers.
June 7th, 20094:16 pm
Soriano warming up for the 1-run save?
diaz just too much of a free swinger … swing at a lot of balls WAY OUT OF THE STRIKE ZONE!
Yunel looks like a latino Ken doll with that hair.
another 3 run 8th….what’s up with these guys?
Let’s hope we stay hot when the Pirates come to town….It’s nice that our potential 1-4 hitters all got hits today and Chipper has 5 rbi, in a game some thought he wouldn’t play in.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
