How bad has this game gotten? I am debating watchin Jimmy Raye’s pres conference from the 49ers mini camp today…that is how bad it’s gotten
My bad, cabraves. Besides, who is even still here at this point?
Prez of Matt Diaz Fan Club
O man shut out again! and by jeff suppan! lol. I’m pretty sure most of us on the blog could at least get a hit off of him.
Excitement!!! Cameron’s going all Zambrano on him!
June 6th, 20099:55 pm
You know…Nate does lead our team in homers now…BUT since he can steal he SHOULD hit lead off.
With Escobar hitting 2nd, and prone to hitting DP’s it’s a win win situation.
Twenty one straight innings. I’ve had enough. I know it’s still early but this team is going nowhere but down. It’s time to start trading a bunch of players. Trade Vasquez and Francouer to Brewers for Gamel & Parra. Don’t stop there. Let Soriano & Gonzales go. Also, Escobar and more. These pitchers think they have to pitch a shut out to win. They are under alot of pressure. Why not bring Freeman up for a little spring training.
RHR, Cabravesfan – there is more anonymity in the midst of a disastrous game, because no on is paying attention to anything other than the pain and misery we are suffering. (Apparently, Mike Cameron is also suffering pain and misery).
I wonder what they said to each other. lol
I’m just teasing I actually do like her new stuff (at least the songs they are playing on the radio)
adios Mike. Horrible arguement from him, it was easily a strike. Too bad that didn’t happen earlier in the game
way to go USA Soccer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sit down Mike!
I am tire of the supporting the braves
got to give to the brewers players, at least they have passion. if that was a braves player striking out, they would have walked back to the dugout with their tail between their legs.
June 6th, 20099:56 pm
If the Braves’ recent history is any indicator, we’ll score 15 tomorrow, 23 on Monday…then go back to 1’s and 0’s for about a week.
Until the Braves score a run, I think EVERY Braves hitter should step up to the plate with circus music as their entrance music.
June 6th, 20099:57 pm
Any word on why Vazquez left with 80 pitches? I just came home from work and am very confused.
Seriously…Corey Hart and Brian McCann have to be brothers
Mike Cameron is always sufering pain and misery…and according to my well placed source at the game, his kid is in the dugout tonight- way to make a lasting impression Dad!
I agree 2249, I’d like to see Bobby try a lineup with him at leadoff at least once. Kelly is HORRIBLE there. Why does every Braves fan in the world see that but Bobby doesnt? Even Prado would be a better choice, or Yunel.
Chop It Up All-star
Want to know something sad, Bill Hall is batting .211 for Milwaukee, with 4 homeruns, which would make him a batting leader on the Braves.
Bill M. I couldn’t agree more. Wren/Glavine is a side issue. The real question is whether or not it’s time to admit what everyone else already knows. This team suxs
Same line-up tomorrow?
That, or the Price is Right fail horn
cabravesfan – Mike Milbury to Sidney Crosby – “if you’re going to slash someone, at least make it hurt.”
Steve from OH
Zephyr, his spot came up with 2 outs and men on second and third down two. Enter Norton.
Has anybody seen LaRoche call out Beltran for his comments that the Mets were embarrassed to be swept by the Pirates? Good stuff, Adam.
June 6th, 20099:58 pm
Move McLouth to leadoff and find another bat.
TBS was smart after all…what would you rather watch right now? Gone in 60 Seconds….or this uhm…baseball game. : )
Wonder if McCann could outrun Fielder?
I betting someone is going to get thrown out tomorrow…on our team…this is just too much to take.
Sad part is it;ll probably be Mac or Chipper…let’s hope it’s Frenchy.
Even Prado would be a better choice, or Yunel.
At this point, Peter Moylan would be a better choice.
Fourth place here we come!!
JD- you can also go back to last year, and the year before. that’s how their BAs were inflated.
does it really matter if the mets and phillies lost tonight?
June 6th, 20099:59 pm
That, or the Price is Right fail horn -JD
Now, I’d pay the ticket prices to see that.
at least soriano is pitching well, what a waste!!!
so in my last 2 posts I am missing a “g,” an “s,” and an “f.” I left out a “t” in an earlier one. If I am up late enough I will attempt to knock out the entire alphabet…or just drink more and stop noticing
WHO cares about a lineup? Is anyone hitting well enough to make a difference
I am tire of the supporting the braves our comments here: Yes and no. For their fans, yes; for us? Not at all
Kelly Johnson, .244
G. Anderson, .248
four players hitting .251 or under. That’s too bad, because our pitchers have been keeping us in games…
June 6th, 200910:00 pm
Stinger, did you see Beltran’s retort? “Were better than them,” or something like that. Ouch. Pirates better drill him every time he comes up during their next matchup.
if they are brothers than mac better kick his A** for that sorry a** throw in the ASG in the 15th…lol
Sockless Moe Jackson
Mclouth won’t matter, neither will Hanson. The only difference could be losing 3 to 2 and not 5 to 2.This is a .500 team at best, the Cox era is dying a slow death.
Should be quite a sight watching Hoffman pitch to Prado, PH, and Kelly.
Soriano’s ERA on down to 1.11 now. If we get our acts together, gonna be handy…
June 6th, 200910:01 pm
DCBrave – I know…by “recent history” I meant the past couple of years too. Our runs scored for a week have looked something like – 0, 0, 1, 18, 9, 2, 0
Well,at least Tommy Hanson gives me a reason to watch tomorrow’s game, but that’s about it. This team just has no life to it.
9th inning. Brewers pitchers will throw 8 pitches in the ninth. Braves go down in order. good night
Coach ( Moon Pie, Anyone?)
Here we go! Bottom of the ninth.
Time for the Braves huge comeback!
Hey Steve, you want a piece of me punk???? I got yours right here:
5-0? Seriously? Marc-Andre Fleury is a freaking SIEVE! Arrgghhh!
We’re only up 12 in the loss column to the Nats. I’m getting worried.
June 6th, 200910:02 pm
Should be quite a sight watching Hoffman pitch to Prado, PH, and Kelly. – Roja
Watch fast because this could be quick.
If pitchers with 4 and 5 ERAs can shut us out, I can only imagine what a pitcher with a 0.00 ERA will do.
Gonna get me with a video, huh Coach? Sorry, not biting. Either something gross or a rickroll, won’t have it here.
Roja Wonder if McCann could outrun Fielder?
He can’t outrun his throws, apparently…
How much longer can the Braves afford to go with Frenchy? TP? Bobby Cox? This team is dead, they have no heart.
June 6th, 200910:03 pm
pitch 1, seven more to go
cab – am loving LT’s notes from the game. Find me on her followers list and add me, my username is my first name. I dont have much to say but I’ll do some from games when I go.
If the meek shall indeed inherit the earth, the Braves offense stands to do well, then.
I think TOM O is gonna rip this Vinings Jim a new one when he gets back for spending all this time flirting with his G-friend. Not gonna be a pretty sight I bet.
June 6th, 200910:04 pm
Bravos2249 Sad part is it’ll probably be Mac or Chipper
If either of them plays…
pitch 2,3,4 come on diaz, dont ruin it for me
need base runners!!! swinging at the first pitch?
cabravesfan – who would think a 3-0 Braves’ deficit would be the better game?
pitch 5, three more
tire – I thought you were going to bed?
June 6th, 200910:05 pm
It is Murderer’s row, this Braves lineup, I tell ya’s!
Nats whip Mutts. Lidge coughs one up against Dodgers. And the Braves can’t take advantage against Jeff Freakin Suppan. Ladies and gentlemen, you’re Atlanta Braves — .500 fever, catch it!
Kelly, could have used that when the bases were loaded!!
another KJ hit that means nothing
This lineup would beat the Braves.
1.Ronnie Milsap ss
2.Helen Keller 3rd
3.The Big Lebowski 1st
4.Stevie Wonder C
5.Jeff Healey RF
6.Steven Hawkings 2nd
7.Andrea Bocelli LF
8.Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade CF
9.Ray Charles P
I will (I’m the one she directed the “Fatty is up next” comment to)
That’s just..really sad, isn’t it? Now what the f*** am I supposed to watch??
What timing Kelly
damm, pitch 6, kelly you ruined it for me. ok it will take the brewers’ pitcher at least 3 more pitches
June 6th, 200910:06 pm
Did a 70 something year old man really just try a rick roll as some sort of retort?
“Kelly Johnson, the last hope for Atlanta” … in other words, “goodnight everybody”
(And I think I’ll say something bad about everyone after that)
Of course now Kelly gets a hit.
No way Yunel does this. He’s a hack.
You know you’re all thinking about it…
Wow the little f’er gets a hit of Hoffman but off not on Suppan?
A lineup with The Dude in it would win the World Series, pal.
The Braves are quickly becoming the General Motors of Baseball. Bobby Cox= Buick. Terry P= Hummer, Chipper= Pontiac and Jeff = Saturn.
June 6th, 200910:07 pm
22. Done. Good Night.
Eh. So much for reverse psychology.
We scored more runs last year off C.C. with a worse lineup then this.
Brave shutout again. maybe next year
June 6th, 200910:08 pm
Good night Gracie.
Hey, they’re only two under .500 and only still six back of the Phillies three back of the Mets after the both lost today?
Frenchy stinks? BUT WHAT ABOUT THE 2-OUT RBIs!?!?!?!!?!
That was truly horrible. Just horrible.
Sigh, get ‘em tomorrow.
lmao now I get why everyone is saying I am tire.
You guys remember when DOB said that the hitting coach is pretty much ceremonial, and when they’re fired it’s just to make a point that something’s being done?
June 6th, 200910:09 pm
Needless to say, I’ll be watching the debut of Hanson tomorrow. Right now though, I have to hope that he allows no runs at all so that when he leaves, he won’t get his first major league loss. I wonder what goes through the mind of our starting staff? Not the crap they tell the media. The real deal that they keep under wraps.
Excuse me but Chipper is clearly the Hummer. TP can be the Pontiac.
Astonishing stat: Fielder’s two homers tonight gave him as many or more than any Braves player has hit at Turner this season except Kelly Johnson, who has four.
June 6th, 200910:10 pm
I called up a Hogan’s Heroes episode on tvland.com just as Netscape on my other computer opened — with a picture of Adolf Hitler on the front page. Hmmm.
Hey….didn’t you guys know that the Braves were using the golf scoring system? Cheer up, we had a lower score!
Someone mentioned it earlier, but this team is dead….there’s no life. Regardless of whether you think Bobby is a genius or old and senile, I think we seriously need some new blood in management.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
