Sure, McCann blows another double.
This is absolutely embarrassing. We get a runner in scoring position because Ryan Braun lost the ball? Sweet Lord this offense is awful.
Well Joe Chipper is probably in stitches now..literally
That doubles McCann triple production for his career.
Watch the clinic How not to score with the leader off runner on third
I made my post about scoring before the triple (:
It’s not a regular occurance with me either, unless I’m drinking

What can I say
Prez of Matt Diaz Fan Club
X-Country Braves Fan
Oh my god!
DAMMIT!!! ARE YOU MOTHER FREAKING KIDDING ME???
BIG GIFT, better take advantage of that one.
Same ol’ Braves.
That’s just not good. At all.
Chipper Jones is getting worse
Interleague play is coming up. I’m sure Larry is getting ready to go on the disabled list. Ya know, right when we need him the most.
They just aren’t supposed to score
Come ON Mac your a Catcher Knock him OVER!
I’m surprised they didn’t try to throw out Loaf at first…still could’ve gotten him
Coach ( Moon Pie, Anyone?)
June 6th, 20098:54 pm
See, all it takes is some horrible defense on the part of the Brewers for our Braves to get right back in this game!
O wait, great defense at 1B and a great throw nails McCann at the plate!
Well hell, he should have been out anyway on that fly ball.
No big deal. Huh?
THAT play sums up the Braves season!
Are you serious? McCann running on contact?
CT in AL
So the Brewers practically give us a run and we still cant score?
Steve from OH
Ah, Coach, we love it when you try to be Miss Cleo! All-seeing, all-knowing…how can we even dispute thy greatness?
McCann is a triple hitting machine ~_~
Greg Olsen would have made “real” contact at the plate
damn it…we are still going to score this inning!
June 6th, 20098:55 pm
The Braves offense is so bad they can’t even score with a gift triple.
Well, guys, the triple was lost in the sky, so….
I’m starting to believe this Glavine/Smoltz curse business
“yeah they scored consistently before McLouth”
consistent? Who said anything about consistent? I said “at least … they were scoring”
That was 1 shutout in 9 games, this is (so far) 2 shutouts in 2 games since he arrived. Apparently the baseball gods demanded compensation for that trade too, and they took the rest of the braves offense.
Fine! Takes me forever to get on here to post about my mann’s triple, and what happens?
If I was ever gonna use the “real” c-word (I mean, not “crud”), now would be the time.
June 6th, 20098:56 pm
That’s right Carpe Diem. you tell them brother! If Joe Torre had been here we would only have three or four more World Championship teams. I mean, who cares? RIIIIGGGTTTT?????
Yeah, Jeffy, YEAH!!! Good game, dude.
Good job Franceour. I know you wanted to swing at that.
one hit, come on
Whst the hell is happening with our offense????
That was bad baserunning by McCann as well. Can’t just blame Escobar
A Francoeur walk? What is that two this week?
never going to win
Ef this team. Losers
June 6th, 20098:57 pm
Maybe we can hit some Coffey ~_~
there you go, McFann, he’s out – sort of.
June 6th, 20098:58 pm
Didn’t mean to put words in your mouth CALM DOWN. It doesn’t really matter if they score 1 or none if they still lose. They are still getting hits and walks, they just aren’t scoring. At least right now they are losing to a first place team and not the Giants and D-Backs.
pitching is good, offense blows, chippers hurt..ho hum..what else is new.
we need a new manager. We suck at so many different parts of the game.
cabravesfan – that’s an excellent way for it to happen – again adding to my ‘intrigue’ as I think I described it last night.
June 6th, 20098:59 pm
Coffey just sprinted in from Brewers bullpen, got some boos.
If I’m not mistaken, this audience has seen that act before, and it didn’t end well after a pretty good run.
lexbrave, you left out that we have to endure the fat urkel,JJ.
It almost seems like this team is cursed. DOB are you aware of any voodoo curses that have been placed on this team? Did TP go to New Orleans during the offseason and pi$$ someone off? Just a thought.
FYI – Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is on HBO – like OMG
No More Bobby
What does Terry Pendleton get paid? He should have to give all of it back!!!
Hey Steve, don’t you go dissing Miss Cleo! She does my horoscope and I get financial advice from her. Now I’m broke and my team is rocking tonight.
The team that refused to score!
Rob (from SC)
But someone had to tell him to run on contact. I mean Mac isn’t dumb enough to do that when he’s not that fast. Had that been McLouth ( maybe even Escobar on 3rd) the might have scored.
June 6th, 20099:00 pm
Maybe it is the cow!
They probably warn their pitchers before any game starts “Walk Frenchy and you are coming out!”
Lordy, that Coffee guy if FAT! Check out the rolls on that stomach. How does an athlete get like that?
So I know our astute observers, those who see him far more often in person … that would be the (sorry, just saw Michael Young break up Jon Lester’s no-no after 6 1/3 innings) impresario of the blog … that G. Anderson is snapping out of it. But his average remains glued between .250 and .260. And he couldn’t get a run home from 3rd with nobody out. He used to be a very reliable run producer with the Angels of Orange County. Now? Sorry, I still hold reservations about his usefulness.
Frenchy walks twice and we got no runs……oh vey.
what happened to chipper? i missed it. just his toe again?

Coffey… Brewers…. heh….

Ask Bob Wickman
Would anybody else feel more comfortable with Vazquez at the plate than Norton?
June 6th, 2009
Hey Brother, we got’em right where we want’em!
Nobody knows. They haven’t said anything yet.
June 6th, 20099:02 pm
Fielder only has 10 hits in 15 games at Turner Field, but FIVE of them have been homers.
Francoeur: the only everyday right fielder in the majors with a slugging percentage in the mid .350’s?
Maybe Brian Giles is worse, if he doesn’t play left field. Still Giles has a real track record, what does Francoeur got? An SI cover?
Good eye, Martin – nice foul.
June 6th, 20099:03 pm
you have to PH here if Prado walks
Yeah, but he kind of ruined it going home on that play. What the heck? With no outs, why are you running home on that play? Why?
“If You’re Happy and You Know it Clap Your Hands”
That’ll pump up the crowd…way to go, Turner Field
I see Kelly Johnson screwing this inning up. Why does this even matter? Jones is goin on the DL. Therefore, this team is about to have an awful month and fall out of contention.
Are you seriously shocked by a fat pitcher? There are plenty of them.
Ay-yi-yi. Ok, at least we double-stole.
Oh my Moon Pie!! another stolen base
Francoeur also has an endearing rain-delay special that airs on Sports South. I get a tear every time I see it.
June 6th, 20099:04 pm
Double steal, Prado not swinging? Missed sign?
Come on Norton!
Prado 2 hits tonight except when they count, typical Braves hitting.
maybe “rare” is not the best word…give me a baseball (or football) game and a beer…
Did we really just pull off a double steal?
Three called strikes on Prado on that strikeout
I’ll be honest, for once I was mad at JJ last night. I didn’t think he really got the job done.
Maybe I was just tired of blaming Yunel but no more, I refuse to blame any of our pitchers for the current state of the Braves braves-ness.
At least for now. Vasquez has really bad karma. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t pitched poorly at times but nothing ever seems to go his way.
time out… what’s up with the crowd tonight?
There are people there. I can’t believe it. Of course you wouldn’t know it, it’s not like they ever react to anything. At least not premeditated reactions.
Seriously, the Braves forgot to read my 5 o’clock post earlier today.
Mental toughness, Braves. Where is it?
This is really pathetic. Come on Greg!!!
Wha? If he’s not a 100% then why is he batting? (Throw it back in my face by getting a hit.)
June 6th, 20099:05 pm
Braves working deep counts all night. Good deal. Just can’t catch a break. C’mon, Norton. To the moon.
This will be our last chance of the night…
June 6th, 20099:06 pm
Bases Loaded for KJ!
McFann- he better give you a good explanation, or …
Coffey is listed as 241. He looks like 341?
Good AB for Norton.
Typical Braves, typical Martin Phony.
Just think if Mac stayed at 3rd it’d be 2-1 now
I call KJ double off the wall.
ya know, I kinda remember when Kotchman was HBP and Prado took his place … someone said with Prado in there the RBI total (of their first basemen I guess) would actually go up.
Well I hate to burst that bubble but in the 10 games he’s played since May 22, he has 0 multi hit games and 0 RBI
According to the AP: “Smoltz threw 51 of 74 pitches for strikes, walked two and struck out three. He topped out at 91 mph on the McCoy Stadium radar gun and retired the last 10 batters he faced.” He only “allowed one hit and one run while pitching six innings Saturday for the Pawtucket Red Sox in a rehab start against the Durham Bulls.” Interesting
