Curious, he’s almost my favorite pitcher on the staff. Mediocre is what his record says, though. I think he’ll break that this year. Something like 15-10 or so.

Curious Braves fan – Seems quite “fashionable” to some here to hate some of our own guys. :(

Don’t ask me why though, I’ll never “get it.”

Maybe they don’t have anything better to do?

Well, Ron Gant’s not such a bad announcer…

Tonight better be the night out…or tomorrow, if he plays.

But just to be safe, he better break out tonight…and if he plays tomorrow, he cann do the same…

“I find it funny to hear Gant tell players to hit the ball the other way.”

That is funny. About the only thing more absurd, would be Francouer telling young players to be patient and take a couple of pitches.

We finally get a guy that can steal bases and then we bat him in front of the team’s best hitter and reigning NL Batting Champ where a stolen base takes the bat out of his hands. I guess that’s “Bobby ball”???

We can’t hit Jeff Suppan? Who can we hit? Why did we trade tons of prospects for Vasquez and McLouth? Why not keep them and make a trade later on? Maybe we’ll be ready to win by then(2010).

The Truth – the truth is too intricate for us poor mortals to comprehend. (Or maybe we needed a pitcher, and, after 12 innings, it’s too early to call the McLouth trade).

DOB, thanks for the new blog. Great job!

Man, that stolen base was great to see. I love it.

Another great part of this game tonite, Ron is in the house. I like hearing him so much better than Chip.

Let’s get some run support and get our record even so Hanson can put us above .500. Go Bravos.

Vinings Jim

cabravesfan – you have passed the test (I had a good feeling you would), young grasshopper (but please, two t’s in the last name) – I had just thought to catch the end of the recorded concert being streamed on Radio Margaritaville – where every concert is streamed live (and I hate myself when I forget). Even now, we hear Harry Belafonte post-game. I managed to catch him opening for the Eagles (before I really knew him) shortly after Come Monday was actually on the radio (and a dozen or so times since). While I would technically rank Springsteen and Billy Joel at #1 & #2, it doesn’t get better than Jimmy (although, as I mentioned earlier, Elvis Costello and I share ‘real’ last names).

nolie, you were on a roll today. Good stuff. I think there is a chance that Matzek and Wheeler will be gone, but I think Miller will almost certainly be there. I posed a question to Keith Law in his comments section and he thinks Miller is the Braves’ third choice after Wheeler and Matzek. I’m happy with that.

I love Yunel, he plays with a little fire in his belly, plays great D, is a good hitter, but man, they need to send him back to Baseball 101 to learn how to run bases. Yeesh.
