Come on N8, don’t make so much sense. We all know that the Braves players are gonna be too sad that Charlie Morton was traded to perform well. Because, you know, he pitched for this team last year and they got to know him.
Just like when Kwame Brown was traded for Pau Gasol. The Lakers were so shook up over losing their friend, Kwame, that they never recovered.

You could be right. But it wouldn’t surprise me, with the way today has gone, if Norton was shown the door instead. Prado can back up Kotchman, and it’s not like Norton has been hitting.
I’d still like to see the Braves see what Cleveland needs for DeRosa. He could still be used. But I’m afraid that the guys that we would have used to get him, just got traded away. Unless they’re willing to take Jeff.

Didn’t see your question last night until this a.m. Yes, I like vintage guitars however I’m not going to go all ga-ga over ‘em. Nice DP BTW. I’m a firm believer in the “tone is in your fingers” theory. I’m surrounded by cats down here in Middle Ga. that can make a Teisco and a Gorilla amp sound amazing!
Can’t afford the vintage class either.

I definately think Esco was thinking about Soriano’s speed so he charged the ball hard and he just looked a little off from the get. I don’t think he would have gotten him anyway and worse case scenerio he throws it away and Soriano is allowed to advance so, you never know. We got a DP out of it.

Your 9:47 is your best post ever. Totally agree with across the board.
Giving up Locke, Morton and Gorky’s is tough, but we got a young guy who can help now that is cheap. for 4 years cheap.
Frenchy needs to think about this. Schafer, Mclouth, Frenchy and Heyward. 1 too many outfielders. FW has shown, only the strong survive.
Only thing I don’t like about this is it makes WAY WAY too left handed with our good young positions players (BMac, KJ, Schafer, Kotch, Heyward, Freeman, Mclouth)

You are in Atlanta proper. They are one of your local channels. But those of us outside Atlanta, yet inside the Braves television territory, cannot watch the PTV games on dish Network.
Those of us on dish Net can see all the Fox SS games on Sunday and all the SportSouth games. It’s not a matter of us not being in the territory; it’s a matter of dish & PTV not coming to terms for carriage.
Which is why you see so much PTV bashing here and elsewhere.

Haven’t been able to keep up with all the posts tonight, as you might imagine. But please tell me there aren’t a lot of people suggesting the Braves gave up too much for Nate McLouth, right?
A 27-year-old All-Star under a very reasonable contract through 2012, a Gold Glove winner who had only one fewer homer than the entire Braves outfield last season, and has one fewer than their entire outfield so far this season, and the highest stolen-base success rate in the majors the past several years? Oh, and a Gold Glove?
Surely most here believe that was a good trade. They traded a very good CF prospect (Gorkys) who MIGHT become what McLouth is now. Might. And a good starting pitching prospect (Charlie) who didn’t exactly set the world on fire last year in the majors, and who was probably going to need an injury or two to see the Braves’ rotation in the next year or three.
And Locke, who is young (21) and talented, but really hasn’t done much.
