Braves, Man up and pay Glavin. You should have let him finish his career here in Atlanta. You guys have the money. I should know, I paid a fortune for those crappy hot dogs and hamburgers the other night. Get a new vendor with better food for the money we pay to eat. Pay Glavin damn it!!!!!

Until f

Until Francoeur learns to handle the inside pitch, he'll never improve as a hitter.. Must lead the league in
strikeouts and rite side popups off of high and tight pitches.. On the bright side, the guy has the best
arm, I've ever seen in my life...

PWHjort (May 27th, 2009 7:04 pm): "Braves Outfield VORP:
Jeff Francoeur: -4.7 (630/663). Number of PA’s: 185
Jordan Schafer: -4.1 (619/663). Number of PA’s: 176
Garret Anderson: - 3.4 (605/663). Number of PA’s: 99
Matt Diaz: 5.7 (131/663). Number of PA’s: 89

"Apparently the more useless you are in the Braves Outfield, the more plate appearances you’re rewarded with. Makes a ton of sense to me."

OR . . .

You've just given us a practical example of the limits of a small sample size and the fallacy of relying thereon. What are their career VORPs?

Just sayin'.

I always liked Derosa and it would be nice to see him man 3rd and let chipper get healthy. DL Chip and Yunel and let them get healthy for a second half charge. We are not hitting as a team right now anyway so call up Cody Johnson and Brandon Hicks and lets see what happens. Canot hurt to give them a two week look see in the bigs!! Go Braves!!!

Wait one damn minute! What about Jordan in center? Why can't Jordan S hit hi, middle and low inside pitches? Why has Terry P not fixed that? Why is it that every hitter seems to have a hitting coach that's part of the family or in AAA or AA?
I think that we should start looking for a real Batting Coach. Remember, Terry never wanted the job in the first place! I think that attitude is finally showing it's ugly head.

Great one DB. Nice to hear a voice of reason amidst the fickle fan base. It's early yet. Even with huge holes in the outfield our strong rotation should keep us in the race until teams are ready to deal in a couple of months. That should give Frenchy and any others on the trading block ample time to prove their worth or justify the action of shipping them out of town.

it amazes me how some teams have 19 and 20 year olds playing and excelling in the majors.yet we believe its too risky to at least consider that heyward, cody, freeman and gorky could help immediately with our anemic offense.i'm just saying........
