A couple of weeks back I was in ATT Park watching the Mets and Giants while on a bidnezz trip.
I found some nachos w/ pork and a three cheese topping that was terrible for me, but I loved it!
Wild pitch, passed ball, strike-outs, first ball outs, gift runs, hitters other than KAWAKAMI averaging four pitches per batter, BS. I’m not gonna’ stay up and listen to that crap. Night all.
wow. that was mcannesque there.
oh, man, was that ugly.
OMG!!! Thats It This Team SUCKS!!!
OH MY GOD
*hangs his head in shame*
Did someone put a hex on our catchers? what is going on here??
May 27th, 200911:11 pm
Dipstick, I know you’re messin’ around, but my point before was that it doesn’t matter if it’s Randy Johnson circa 1995 or the 2009 version. Hell, if Chad Johnson, Larry Johnson, or Jack Johnson were on the mound for the Giants, the Braves offense is so weak, it just doesn’t matter.
So, to help the “story” along, I referenced the past 2 games + the first three innings tonight, to show the trend. But unless this is your first game of the season to being attention to, I’ll assume you didn’t need me to tell you that.
And now, were giving runs away, because we can’t execute a simple Hot Box Drill? Wow.
wow…sweep!…I can go to bed now…goodnight….
I think ALL snakes suck!
I knew it was just a matter of time before someone did that to us.
cabravesfan: just because they’re not on the rubber doesn’t stop them from loading up the baseball does it? Load it up off the rubber, step on and throw the spitball, no?
Who inspects it? I can just see Pat Corrales calling time and asking the ump to check the wetness level of the ball before the next pitch. Good ol’ Pat.
Eric from MO
Does that count as an error?
May 27th, 200911:12 pm
Eric in MO,
Chipper’s numbers have been good all year. He’s not going to hit a ton of home runs anymore because he just doesn’t see the pitches and who can blame pitchers for pitching around him with Martin Prado’s and Garrett Anderson’s of the world hitting behind him. But his on base has been around .440 all year long and has gotten a ton of hits.
How the hell does David Ross fall down right there? And why is McCann not in the lineup? The guy was just on the DL for two weeks and it’s like 60 degrees in San Fran at night. Bobby Cox is senile.
What did I tell you. KK sucks. Yall are over rating him big time
Watching this Braves team is like taking a benadryl. After a few minutes, I start getting sleepier and sleepier…
They are Running at will on us! Bobby C. has got Outmanaged in every aspect of the game this series by Bruce Bochy, Un-Fckin-Real
doth my gameday read correctly? steal of home?
or throw to second and taking home?
Has to be an error of some sort.
He stole home
My, my , my ain’t that a b1tch!
David, David, David. You had him dead at the plate.
May 27th, 200911:13 pm
Definetly going to make fun of the braves tomorrow on espn now. Stealing home? wtf
Hey, how many other guys here thought this precise Offense droughts would come waaay back in the offseason?? i said it right after they let bobby abreu go for 5 MM…
RHR, lol…Wow You Must Have ESP-N or something?
Kawakami doesnt suck people. It isnt his fault that second run scored.
May 27th, 200911:14 pm
Gameday writes “Aaron Rowand steals home, Bengie Molina steals third.”
Not gonna lie. Those are words I thought I’d never read.
Nope. Doesn’t stop them but it’s not illegal And I believe anyone can actually ask for a ball to be inspected but i would imagine it would be hard to tell if something was done (spit, sweat, etc) on purpose
i think that there assures the perfect game. Whatever, BRING IT ON!!
I hope that run was unearned. I wonder if the Giants drew that one up the way it played out.
Screw up the hit and run and hang your runner up at second. Send the runner from third, who goes half and and then returns to the base. When the return throw from second base to the plate is dropped by the catcher, runner heads back to home.
If the catcher slips, the runner can score, no problem. Otherwise, easy come, easy go.
Doesn’t take a lot to out-manage Cox
May 27th, 200911:15 pm
This team is pathetic. throwing all braves stuff away now. Im embarrased
Yea The Melts and Phillies Fans are gonna get into our A..ses once they see that…
Well It is what it is…
But Scott he misses every couple of games. To me all-stars actually play.
Randy’s second Perfect game will be tonight
There We Go Joe!!!
Call these SumBytches Out!!!
boog that some heady stuff there bra.
Speed disrupts and puts pressure on the defense and we see what pressure does to some players and teams. Unfortunately for us, our opponents have no problem putting pressure on our defense and have gotten some good results.
What?! What?!? What did our catcher screw up now?
Did KK and Ross go hang out with the hippies at Unv. Cal Berkeley. Hope it was some good $hit they got. Looks like Doc Ellis and the crew pitching. WTF
.500 is fun
May 27th, 200911:16 pm
Hey, the boys are only 2.5 back.
Chill with the heat guys…we got Diory with the double leading off
If we don’t score this run I’m going to bed and quitting watching the Braves after 11 PM on week days for the rest of the season.
Thank you God. Now, let’s score some runs.
Booby Kooks is a dumba@ss sumb1tch!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen…
Your 2009 Atlanta Braves
There goes the no-hitter!
Lead off double for Hernandez, just inside the third base bag.
DOB, not really, but thanks for trying.
The curse Baroid haunts the Braves for signing Maddux instead of him. Maybe that was a possible trade for Baroid, but I think he’s haunting the Bravos anyways.
HEY, we gotta a hit…GO DIORY! OMG, that was pathetic!
Don’t let the screen door hit you in the butt on the way out….
randy already has a perfect game against the braves when he was with d backs. Recorded last out on a strike out to eddie perez. anyone else remember that
Now Gameday says Randy Johnson just threw a pitchout to Diory with 2 strikes and none on. Something smells fishy in the bay…
oh come on!!
this games fun level just took a stock market nose dive.
May 27th, 200911:17 pm
Oh. I get it. It’s not funny anymore. Sorry. I guess I’ll take my t-shirt off and all my posters down. Dang, and I just was accepted as a “friend” by both David Coverdale, and Tawny Kitaan on facebook.
I guess I should get with the 90’s….er…00’s, huh?
Do you really think that I still listen to them on a regular basis? Wow. I thought you caught the sarcasm. Thought you were quicker than that. Sorry. I’ll dumb the jokes down a bit.
Kotchmeister, COME ON!!!
All ready talking about that play on MLB tonight !!!
That long inning might stiffen up the old unit…..maybe
can someone just describe what happened?
gameday only shows double steal?
I was watching Gwinnett last night and Brian Jordan kept talking about the 1997 World Series, Braves vs. Marlins. I wonder if anyone told him 2 NL teams don’t play in the World Series.
Dammit, I’m gonna rip somebody’s head off now.
You can come kiss my ass wayne
If Im being irrational about KJ, how come 3 players have played 2b this season and KJ was mentioned as a possible trade during winter. You need to stop being like Cox. The guy is no good at the plate, Period. Nothing but average 2b, and I would think twice about that.
May 27th, 200911:18 pm
MP31 what??? When was that???
I’m going to steal a lyric from Eminem’s new album that reminds me of the Braves the last few years, and how they’ve changed personnel and the results are eerily similar. It’s a chore to watch this team right now.
Show me what you got, give it your all, look at you ball, why you crying to me? Same song and dance.
This team is like watching your grand mother get beat up and not being able to help. …For the love of God we’ve been outscored 14-2 against the “worst offense” in baseball…
May 27th, 200911:19 pm
kotch moves runner over to 3rd… 4-3 groundout
What are you firing shots at the ball dude for?
Kotch moves Diory over to third on a 1-2 dribbler to the right side.
Chipper up to the plate. Get that runner in!
Economy is real bad, Giants got grown men as ball boys. LOL
“That long inning might stiffen up the old unit…..maybe”
The Braves need that old unit stiffened up right about now. If they could make that happen, maybe they’d actually hit something.
WOW, what happened to the Nuggets in the 4th quarter. Kobe is great, but my favorite teams are the Jazz and whoever is playing the Lakers.
May 27th, 200911:20 pm
You can’t expect to win games if you can’t score runs…
WTF are you looking at, Larry? WTF I must be mad if I call him Larry because I lurve him most of all.
Nope, it’s Byleven. And I should change my handle to “Boog cheats with facebook at trivia”.
chip with a K
May 27th, 200911:21 pm
Uh oh…Chipper hurt himself on that swing? No, you’re kidding???
N8, My point was that 45-year-old Randy Johnson has been awful this year and that hitting him ain’t as hard as it used to be. I cited stats to support that and make my point.
You somehow made the leap that by merely pointing out how bad Randy Johnson has been this year I was saying that the Braves offense would do the same to him that others this season have. I wasn’t saying that or even implying, hinting or suggesting it. Hell, I didn’t even mention the Braves offense at all. I was just pointing out that nobody else has had any trouble with him and that he’s not the ace he once was. Don’t see how you had such a hard time seeing my point. I’ll assume you were just messing w/me and didn’t need me to break it down for you like I just did. If not, try actually reading the post and comprehending it as opposed to trying to put words in people’s mouths.
I had a feeling that Chandelier Chipper would hurt himself more!
Oh man.. is Chipper limping again? great.. just great
Dang it, I thought you said you were done with the Braves. I was just taking you at your word, now we know your word doesn’t mean anything!
See ya tomorrow folks. Off to bed.
chip is now headed to the DL… prado with a lazy pop to the 1b to end the inning… going to bed
Chipper srtikes out swinging and limps out of the batters box. Toe jam.
Prado pops up on the first pitch.
Can’t use the “pitched around” excuse for Chipper this time. He just didn’t put the ball in play.
May 27th, 200911:22 pm
This AWFENSE SUCKS! Frank Wren Do Something NOW!!!
Our Cleanup Hitter pop’s up a 25 Footer What a Fcking Joke!!!
Okay I’m a Chipper supported, but he complains about not getting opportunities and not being pitched to, but when he is he doesn’t come through.
Oh great Chipper is hurt again. Awesome
Youtube tomorrow, a video of this team could be added to the fail blog. Baseball team fail.
May 27th, 200911:23 pm
Why the hell is his nickname KK and not BB?
Chipper better hope one of those damn birds don’t fly into him. It just might hurt him or something…
May 27th, 200911:24 pm
Runner on third w/ one out, and we can’t find a way to get him home.
And THEY STOLE HOME?!?! How did THAT happen?
You are even gettin P’d At this AWFense…
And Your one of the more mellow posters on here…
That’s saying something
Nice play, rook.
I thought Diory Hernandez was supposed to be a crappy defensive player? He looks more then servicable so far
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
