Dave

A couple of weeks back I was in ATT Park watching the Mets and Giants while on a bidnezz trip.

I found some nachos w/ pork and a three cheese topping that was terrible for me, but I loved it!

Wild pitch, passed ball, strike-outs, first ball outs, gift runs, hitters other than KAWAKAMI averaging four pitches per batter, BS. I’m not gonna’ stay up and listen to that crap. Night all.

Dipstick, I know you’re messin’ around, but my point before was that it doesn’t matter if it’s Randy Johnson circa 1995 or the 2009 version. Hell, if Chad Johnson, Larry Johnson, or Jack Johnson were on the mound for the Giants, the Braves offense is so weak, it just doesn’t matter.

So, to help the “story” along, I referenced the past 2 games + the first three innings tonight, to show the trend. But unless this is your first game of the season to being attention to, I’ll assume you didn’t need me to tell you that.

And now, were giving runs away, because we can’t execute a simple Hot Box Drill? Wow.

cabravesfan: just because they’re not on the rubber doesn’t stop them from loading up the baseball does it? Load it up off the rubber, step on and throw the spitball, no?

Who inspects it? I can just see Pat Corrales calling time and asking the ump to check the wetness level of the ball before the next pitch. Good ol’ Pat.

Eric in MO,

Chipper’s numbers have been good all year. He’s not going to hit a ton of home runs anymore because he just doesn’t see the pitches and who can blame pitchers for pitching around him with Martin Prado’s and Garrett Anderson’s of the world hitting behind him. But his on base has been around .440 all year long and has gotten a ton of hits.

How the hell does David Ross fall down right there? And why is McCann not in the lineup? The guy was just on the DL for two weeks and it’s like 60 degrees in San Fran at night. Bobby Cox is senile.

I hope that run was unearned. I wonder if the Giants drew that one up the way it played out.

Screw up the hit and run and hang your runner up at second. Send the runner from third, who goes half and and then returns to the base. When the return throw from second base to the plate is dropped by the catcher, runner heads back to home.

If the catcher slips, the runner can score, no problem. Otherwise, easy come, easy go.

N8, My point was that 45-year-old Randy Johnson has been awful this year and that hitting him ain’t as hard as it used to be. I cited stats to support that and make my point.

You somehow made the leap that by merely pointing out how bad Randy Johnson has been this year I was saying that the Braves offense would do the same to him that others this season have. I wasn’t saying that or even implying, hinting or suggesting it. Hell, I didn’t even mention the Braves offense at all. I was just pointing out that nobody else has had any trouble with him and that he’s not the ace he once was. Don’t see how you had such a hard time seeing my point. I’ll assume you were just messing w/me and didn’t need me to break it down for you like I just did. If not, try actually reading the post and comprehending it as opposed to trying to put words in people’s mouths.
