TnBrian,

I agree Bobby doesnt stands at the batters box, but he clearly is not tough on his guys, he lets them cry like babies, that why they like him. We have a team made of 50% men and 50% babies…………..men…………. Lowe, vazquez, diaz, mc, soriano, etc…………….babies………..JF, yunel, jojo, medlen, schafer………….There is a great lack of character on this team, and that is not players fault but the people in front of them……….coaches, manager, executives, as POORJEFF accurately mentions.

I don’t think there is anyone else in baseball that I have seen that has Jeff’s mentality at the plate. It would be one thing if there were players that take Jeff’s approach and are successful. But there isn’t.

The fact that Jeff can continue to adhere to his crappy hitting approach when there is no proof that it works…and plently of indication that it doesn’t…makes me have zero sympathy for him!

DOB, I know when the Braves are in a stretch like this, the comments on the ole’ Blog get pretty nasty…..which is fine, because people are passionate about their team. All the hot stove chatter is great…..but I think your blog makes an excellent point in regards to patience. To me, the issue falls with the INSANE amount of patience that Bobby and Wren show their guys. I’m not asking for Holliday or Hawpe overnight….but it does not take a genius to see that internal moves MUST be made. Give B.Jones a shot out there…..bench Frenchy, or platoon him with Diaz….have Kelly start taking fly balls in the outfield. DO SOMETHING. Clearly what we are running out there is just not going to get it done.
