Crazy how many people got mad at me when I said we shouldnt of signed Chipper to an extension and should of let him walk to the AL at the end of the year because he cant stay healty and now everyone complains because he is hurt AGAIN! You can build a team around a guy who is constantly hurt. I also remember everyone telling his injury woes are probably behind him and he will play at least 135 games. Still dont understand that wishful thinking.

We are so screwed if Escobar and Chipper both hit the DL. We’ve got zero infielders in AAA worth bringing up. There’s Canizares but he’s apparently as agile as a tree trunk on the field.

Its funny all the garbage and insults most of you had before the game towards Randy Johnson, but some of you forget that he’s going for career win #299. The man knows how to pitch. According to him, he wasn’t focused when he pitched against the Mets a little over a week ago in that Fox Game of the Week. Since then, he pitched a gem against Seattle in his homecoming, and now tonight. Granted your lineup isn’t helping, but you have to go with what you’ve got.

Not everyone, Eric. :D

Chipper is what he is. An aging HOF’er whose baseball mind is as sharp as they come but whose body is 37 years old. I still say Chipper, for even just 120-130 games, is better than anyone else we have for 162.

Doc Holiday

TnBrian,

If he is not responsible for losing why is he the manager? Braves will lose regardless of who the manager is, right? so they could use tha bat boy as their manager……….it makes no difference……….

It is his fault………..not 100% of course but the greatest part of it.

You think it is a coincidence LaRusa was a winner in Oak and he still is in StL??? or what about torre………lots of people said that when he was gone from the yankees he would be exposed because yankees could have won with anybody as their manager…………..now he is in LA and he is proving he is a great manager. Look at Scioscia, his top pitchers are down and he manages to win, even with Vlad hurting.

What do we had with cox? 10 times the patience we would like for him to have with some players and excuses………nothing else. With the kind of pitching braves have………..there is no excuse to be this bad……….NONE.

We have Lowe……….among leaders in wins if not the leader………..JJJ among top 3 in ERA and Vazquez among top 3? in Ks? Kawakami giving us a good effort 80% of the times………..Moylan, soriano and Gonzalez in the bullpen…………..and what do we have to show for? a team that struggles to stay at .500………. We celebrated geting back to .500 like if we have won the pennant……..come on. This is absurd.

I know this game isn’t over but they seem like they are just trying to get to the next off day. I don’t boo when I go to games but I Would if I was at the game tonight. It’s one thing to get shut down by great pitching but it’s another to don’t care about getting Punk’d by the Jubroni teams of the league
