I told You guys that this team only shows up when they play above .500 tams
The Braves are 13-7 against teams that are over .500 this year…
While They are 11-12 against teams that have played less than .500 baseball this year, letting their guard down against the Jubroni teams
Proof that this team comes correct when the play the good teams of the league
18 Wheels of Love: So the Giants, who are looking to add a big bat, desperate to add one, are going to trade Aaron Rowand in a deal that brings Francoeur to San Fran?
I don’t think that’s what they have in mind.
Chipper Jones, where are you?
What a sad bunch of fans. Game over at 1-0? Now it’s REALLY over at 3-0? Some of you folks are pathetic.

I’ve read this blog often enough to know that the headlive practically guarantees that the Giants will win today. One run ought to do it. You guys should be coming down for the series from the high of playing the Jays. Bye bye Braves
No, I don’t believe Bobby has been thrown out of a game this year. He is the all time record holder. I wonder if he has ever gone this far in a season without getting thrown out of a game.
I dont care who we get, but Francour has to go. He’s a walking stinkbomb on the diamond.
May 25th, 20095:34 pm
I’m not watching the game, but is MaCann wearing his glasses when he catches? If not, maybe he’s got some problem seeing the ball coming to him clearly.
Dammit, I should’ve called for the AWFense to spot Javy some runs early today like I did 4 Double J yesterday…
Anyways, lets get out of this Inning!
Frank, who knows, maybe they both end up Braves, but I’ll bet Wren gets one OF.
Finally, McDowell comes out to chat with Javy. I hope he hit the “reset” button.
My toe hurts.
Let this inning end….
Braves gonna be on the wrong end of the sweep this time. If we cant score runs off of dirty Sanchez, we sure as hell arent gonna get any off Lincecum or the 84 year old RJ.
May 25th, 20095:35 pm
I think this is the patented Vazquez blow up inning.
What a sad bunch of fans. Game over at 1-0? Now it’s REALLY over at 3-0? Some of you folks are pathetic.
they got that right JJ. You guys are toast already. Vazquez always finds a way to give up a cluster of runs. Too bad, so sad. Giants are rad.
May 25th, 20095:36 pm
When Javy loses it, he REALLY loses it lol.
Thank you Diaz!
JJ, 3-0 = Game Over, “Bank On It!”
No Offense, but Apparently you haven’t watched this anemic AWFense Perform this year have you…?
I’m gonna Reserve Judgement for Bennett today…But The AWFense Needs To step it up…
May 25th, 20095:37 pm
Anyone know how we perform against .500 or better teams a then how we do against sub .500 teams?
Bobby is using psychology on Vazquez. With men on, he has Bennett up in the blow-pen. Javy has to know that those men on base are coming in if he doesn’t get this guy at the plate.
We can blame Javy for throwing to 2nd BUT isn’t the catcher the one who tells you what base to throw to?
Ymir the queer, your annoying. The Giants are what 10 games out of first place? lol
That is why JV will never be a great pitcher eats innings but cant ever avoid the BIG inning.
A Giants troll? Doesn’t he/she know the Giants are 9.0 games out of first?
May 25th, 20095:38 pm
Explain VORP, EqA, and BABIP to him when he needs a nap. Hee hee..
May 25th, 20095:39 pm
Not that I endorse their negative attitudes, but our offense is really crappy. And coming back from a 3 run defecit even against Jonathan Sanchez (who we are currently making look luke Bob Gibson as we frequently do against bad pitchers), is going to be tough.
May 25th, 20095:40 pm
its over guys. braves are dead. have no fire in them. offense cant come from behind.
Take one for the team, or at least swing at pitches right over the middle moron.
That inning was disgusting…bet the umps wouldn’t call interference if the batter jumped on top of McCann.
And why in heck did Vaz throw to second? My gosh…they wouldn’t have scored so much if he’da made that freaking play at first! Dang dang dang…
Is It Me Or has AT&T park been a House of Horrors for the Braves…?
I still have Flashbacks of Chipper injuring himself on that torn up infield they had here a couple of years ago…But It seems like the braves bont play well here…
Well I do believe in 2005 Ryan Langerhans had his best career game here…
Yeah the Giants are 10 games out, but aren’t they beating the Braves moron?
May 25th, 20095:41 pm
Kelly The Man!
Javier Vazquez has trouble keeping his composure sometimes, doesn’t he?
that didn’t suck
Kelly hit it to the right spot for a stand-up triple, the wrong spot for a homer. Only The Head could hit it out there.
KJ dunks a triple past Winn in RF.
Winn looked alot like GA jogging after that ball.
There We Go KJ, Its about Time
May 25th, 20095:42 pm
Yeah, I just imagined them scoring 10 yesterday, 4 Saturday, 12 last Wednesday, and 8 last Tuesday.
And now KJ triples to start off the 6th.
But please…..continue your ill-informed rant.
I’m ok with sending Vazquez out there in the 6th, but if he doesn’t retire the leadoff man… you’ve got to yank him immediately.
Patience is the key here.
Steve from OH
Why does Kelly hit lefties so well?
May 25th, 20095:43 pm
3-0 on Prado. Meeting at the mound.
Candlesticks make a great wedding gift.
Let’s hope this is the inning that Sanchez loses it…
About to walk Prado. Patience is the key here, as they said Sanchez doesn’t react well to adversity.
May 25th, 20095:44 pm
It’d be 1-0 if he took the out……
2nd time in a row the opposing team has had a mound visit in the middle of a count.
The better question is why do they platoon Kelly by sitting him against lefties and playing him against righties?
1st and 3rd w/ no out…Gotta get 1 here, No Fcking DPS…!
On the second ball 4, umpire awards Prado first base. (The 3-0 was low too, but got the strike call.)
1st and 3rd. No one out. Diaz at the plate.
Seriously why are some of you even Braves fans?!?!
Sorry if it was posted twice. Computer error or something.
Come on Diaz!
May 25th, 20095:45 pm
On the whole, the offense is pretty anemic. I agree we have definite problems in that area. But to proclaim that the game is over at 1-0 is simply idiotic. Not that that surprises me coming from those that are calling it quits in the 5th inning.
as far as big bats go – I went to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans game on Friday night and the big 3 put on a show. Heyward hit a HR to left-center field. Also had a stolen base in the game. Cody Johnson hit a bomb that had to have gone well over 130 feet – it went over the CF wall and the bigger green wall behind that. Freddie Freeman also had a couple hits including a double. They also could not be nicer to fans – both young and old. Rohrbough looked good – pitched 5.2 innings I believe and gave up 1 run. Very few hard hit balls against him. Control was a problem though.
Cody Johnson has to be moving back up the BRaves prospect list (though on his first bat he looked like a lefty Frenchy swinging at bad pitches). He is hitting .275 or so with now 16 home runs (at the end of Friday). If he continues to develop patience at the plate which he did show later in the game, he could make an impact. Except for maybe Michael Stanton in the Marlins organization Cody shows more power than any prospect I have seen in a long time
Sanchez has lost the strike zone ala Kris Medlen.
But to answer the question on why KJ hits lefties so well, he’s said in interviews before that he is concentrating more on not “pulling off” of the pitch, since lefties tend to throw their breaking pitches to left-handed hitters more often.
Is Justin Miller a former Marlin?
Just got in in time to see the poor defensive play and Edgar burn us.
BTW, those are the ugliest caps I’ve ever seen. Who gets paid to come up with this crap? Onlt way to make them worse would be to cross the A with a tomahawk.
May 25th, 20095:46 pm
JJ, I will Back at you later on that comment…They haven’t showed up today…(At least the AWFense)…We’ll see
Bases loaded for McCann
Enter your stupid comments here.
Wow… he walked Diaz. Not an easy thing to do.
Where is Shaun? I want to know what our run-expectancy is in this position!
Diaz walks. And you KNOW it had to be nowhere close to the strike zone for Matty to lay off.
Bases loaded. No one out.
B-Macc Come On!!!! You have Been Our MVP on Offense…
May 25th, 20095:47 pm
Your absolutely right Bravos229-Mcann blew the last inning, lets hope he can make up for it.
Won’t show in the box score…but Kelly probably caused those walks…
May 25th, 20095:48 pm
Wow….I know he was taking all the way, but that’s a pitch that Mac could have put in the bay
Go on guys, time for some optimism maybe? Bases full, no outs, lets hear a cheer?
Love the optimism!
Gotta Get 2 in this Inning, Come On AWFense!

its over guys. braves are dead. have no fire in them. offense cant come from behind. — MP31 at 5:40 p.m.
Explain VORP, EqA, and BABIP to him when he needs a nap. Hee hee.. (COUCH TATER)
LOL, Hopefully, that’ll work, because anytime I try to put that kid down for a nap, it turns into a three hour wrestling match.
There We Go B-Macc!
there goes the shutout.
Great AB! That was a Chipper-esque swing
There you go Mac. 3-1 now.
Brian McCann is pretty good at baseball.
McCann with a chipperesque 2 strike hit
May 25th, 20095:49 pm
How could any Giant fans clap for that guy?
Bye Bye Sanchez
Im surprised anyone made a pitching chacnge for Francour. Who coaches the Giants again. Wow.
Ya think? Lol!
Sanchez is a chucklehead.
Mcann is pretty good at hitting, but his defense sucks!
Mrs. Catie Francoeur
May 25th, 20095:50 pm
Nicely done, BMac. Rut roh, rally killer Francoeur is up. Just strike out and sit down Frenchy. No DP or TP, please.
Lets have a Big inning! (ugly caps and all)
I predict a sac fly from Francouer…
Can we somehow different the posts of those people that say things like “Game over” when it’s the 5th inning? Kind of how your posts are in grey, can we make those posts show up in all black or something (including the words in black)?
francoeur needs to put the ball in play. let us score. even if its a double play.
Sorry Mc Fann: ánd girls!
Tying run on second, no outs still!
You’re doing it wrong.
Frenchy Will Hit Into DP
May 25th, 20095:51 pm
Oh No, Rally Killer Frenchie…Come On!
strike out is not an option for francoeur
