18 Wheels of Love: So the Giants, who are looking to add a big bat, desperate to add one, are going to trade Aaron Rowand in a deal that brings Francoeur to San Fran?
I’ve read this blog often enough to know that the headlive practically guarantees that the Giants will win today. One run ought to do it. You guys should be coming down for the series from the high of playing the Jays. Bye bye Braves
No, I don’t believe Bobby has been thrown out of a game this year. He is the all time record holder. I wonder if he has ever gone this far in a season without getting thrown out of a game.
I’m not watching the game, but is MaCann wearing his glasses when he catches? If not, maybe he’s got some problem seeing the ball coming to him clearly.
Braves gonna be on the wrong end of the sweep this time. If we cant score runs off of dirty Sanchez, we sure as hell arent gonna get any off Lincecum or the 84 year old RJ.
Bobby is using psychology on Vazquez. With men on, he has Bennett up in the blow-pen. Javy has to know that those men on base are coming in if he doesn’t get this guy at the plate.
JJ,
Not that I endorse their negative attitudes, but our offense is really crappy. And coming back from a 3 run defecit even against Jonathan Sanchez (who we are currently making look luke Bob Gibson as we frequently do against bad pitchers), is going to be tough.
Is It Me Or has AT&T park been a House of Horrors for the Braves…?
I still have Flashbacks of Chipper injuring himself on that torn up infield they had here a couple of years ago…But It seems like the braves bont play well here…
Well I do believe in 2005 Ryan Langerhans had his best career game here…
On the whole, the offense is pretty anemic. I agree we have definite problems in that area. But to proclaim that the game is over at 1-0 is simply idiotic. Not that that surprises me coming from those that are calling it quits in the 5th inning.
as far as big bats go – I went to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans game on Friday night and the big 3 put on a show. Heyward hit a HR to left-center field. Also had a stolen base in the game. Cody Johnson hit a bomb that had to have gone well over 130 feet – it went over the CF wall and the bigger green wall behind that. Freddie Freeman also had a couple hits including a double. They also could not be nicer to fans – both young and old. Rohrbough looked good – pitched 5.2 innings I believe and gave up 1 run. Very few hard hit balls against him. Control was a problem though.
Cody Johnson has to be moving back up the BRaves prospect list (though on his first bat he looked like a lefty Frenchy swinging at bad pitches). He is hitting .275 or so with now 16 home runs (at the end of Friday). If he continues to develop patience at the plate which he did show later in the game, he could make an impact. Except for maybe Michael Stanton in the Marlins organization Cody shows more power than any prospect I have seen in a long time
But to answer the question on why KJ hits lefties so well, he’s said in interviews before that he is concentrating more on not “pulling off” of the pitch, since lefties tend to throw their breaking pitches to left-handed hitters more often.
Just got in in time to see the poor defensive play and Edgar burn us.
BTW, those are the ugliest caps I’ve ever seen. Who gets paid to come up with this crap? Onlt way to make them worse would be to cross the A with a tomahawk.
Can we somehow different the posts of those people that say things like “Game over” when it’s the 5th inning? Kind of how your posts are in grey, can we make those posts show up in all black or something (including the words in black)?

I told You guys that this team only shows up when they play above .500 tams
The Braves are 13-7 against teams that are over .500 this year…
While They are 11-12 against teams that have played less than .500 baseball this year, letting their guard down against the Jubroni teams
Proof that this team comes correct when the play the good teams of the league
