It’s official: the hot streak has started.
Dang when KJ gets hot he get’s HOT!
Steve from OH
Heath…that’s not the point, saying we don’t need offense. He’s saying Cain will improve our run prevention outfit and this should lead to more wins. Not too hard, is it? I kinda think we could use a bat, but you’ve gotta respect the numbers…they don’t lie.
Yeahhhhh!!!! There We Go KJ!!!!
“This Is How We Do It!!!!”
We Got This Shyt in the BAG!!!
Damn that boy is streaky.
Steve from OH, how soft of a goal for Huet there. Wow.
May 24th, 20094:03 pm
Man, when KJ gets going…
he might get the win.llloooolll
Nice work KJ
CLUTCH hit, huh?
Kelly Johnson! My Boy!
Get out ball, you stupid ball.
SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP.
What happened to the team that couldn’t win at home?
Where are the KJ haters at?
get 2 more runs so i can have more room to work with. or might get ugly again.!!!!!!!!!!
May 24th, 20094:04 pm
Well, that’s why he’s a backup now…hey, it’s not like Osgood is that much better anyway. No ’scuses for the ‘Hawks.
well, KJ and JF seem to breaking out of slumpos. If only GA would snap out of it.
GA with an RBI
Wew’ll Take That Loaf, Lovely…!
May 24th, 20094:05 pm
And BSox leads the Mets 6-5.
you know it. our best guy to do that.
GA showing off that warning track power!
Looks like someone is heating up! Go Bravos!
May 24th, 20094:06 pm
Who is this guy batting leadoff? A Homerun last night, and a 3-hit performance today (including yet another homerun and a 2-run 2B).
Way to go KJ
Here’s a note on possible first-round pick Zack Wheeler:
“The lone prep note of the day comes from the words of a scout who witnessed Zack Wheeler’s most recent start on Tuesday.
After Wheeler’s dominating start Tuesday where he fanned 15 in a 2-1 playoff win, one scout wrote in his report that Wheeler is as close to a sure thing as any prep starting pitcher he has seen in his eight years on the trail, with only one exception.
“I saw (Clayton) Kershaw, (Jarrod) Parker, Kyle Drabek, Jeff Allison, John Danks… I even followed (Phillippe) Aumont a few years back,” he said. “But Rick Porcello is the only arm I can think of that I was more confident in than Wheeler. He’s going to be a good major league starting pitcher.”
3 run shot!!!!!!!
By the way Steve numbers do lie just like the democrat or republican that uses them …
May 24th, 20094:07 pm
Go Red Sox!!!
Steve from OH-
I’m assuming you are talking about the hockey game…wha’t going on there?
Oh, yeah, and Go Bravos!!!!!!!!!!!
May 24th, 20094:08 pm
Does Terry Pendleton get any love for the hitting today? Or is he only responsible for failure?
Steve for OH….if you say we need a better BP…then, I’ll go with you on that one. Looking at the splits, our starters fair VERY well. We have the 3rd best starters ERA in the league and only the 11th best relievers. Even still, I would prefer a batter over a pitcher for this team as of now.
We need to get rid of Garret Anderson right now! The old fart can’t hit anymore.
May 24th, 20094:09 pm
We got this game for sure!
Wow, Mac just stopped and admired that shot!
THAT JUST HAPPENED!
i called it guys. at 4:06
Where is McFann? Her boy got it done. We love you, Bmac
Well, McFann’s getting her wish today! 2nd one he’s crushed
good call Bmac
There WE GO B-MACCC!!!!!
“THIS IS HOW WE DO IT!!!!!”
CRUSH BASEBALLS MAC!!!!!
Joe said for Braves to get some more. McCann more than obliged ~_~
Steve from OH: I was at the Braves last exhibition game when Porcello threw against the very wild KK. There was a Tigers fan sitting next to us and he was going on and on about how good Porcello could be. He cut us up that day — nothing but well-;ocated strikes.
In the meantme … MCCANN !!!!
McFANN are you double happy?
May 24th, 20094:10 pm
2-zip Wings after 1, Wings without Datsyuk and Lidstrom, Hawks without Khabibulin (sp?).
McCann flies out deep to Butts.
What’s that? Butts is the bullpen catcher?

Dang good call Bmac!
May 24th, 20094:11 pm
McCann should start the All Star Game this year.
Heath, wouldn’t you agree that our 5th (and occasionally fourth) starters spots have been pretty bad too?
No matter what just happened it’s a known fact that Johnson is worthless hitting in the lead-off spot and that Chipper is a lazy hypocondriac who lays out as much as he can and doesn’t play all out when he is in there and is crap in the clutch. We all know that those are the facts. So what that they got lucky today? Booby should still be run outta town. I’m just so glad that we aren’t playing the mighty Rays who coach has assured the board are gonna win it all cause of their stolen base prowess. Stinky old Jays never can play good. We got lucky.
“How Sweep It Is!!!!”
NWO 4 Life!!!
Game Over Braves Win
Are we waking up?????
that poor boy frasor – his coach just leaving him there to be fried.
seeing that sign reminds me to vote for mcann…..again. everyone needs to take a minute and put in a few more votes for mac
May 24th, 20094:12 pm
Well, hello 7.
kelly johnson still sucks. And who gets the win Moylan. Pathetic.
Dr. Van Nostrand
I think Rick Porcello has a VERY BRIGHT future for Detroit. It’s gonna be fun watching that kid over the next several years. I’ve caught a couple of his games on the MLB extra innings package and have been very impressed.
May 24th, 20094:13 pm
If the Mutts and Phills aren’t thinking twice about the Braves for ‘09, they might need get their heads examined. Our team is definitely legit!
DOB…any word on Medlen’s bullpen?
Did anybody win the money for the 7 run 7th?
How about Boyer for the next two?
Here I am! Grandma, Grandpa, and two of Grandpa’s sisters are over, so it took me a minute to get on here.
That ball was CRUSHED!!! His AVG is .303!! 4 RBI today! Whoo-hoo! ASG, meet your starting catcher! (Hopefully!)
Every time they do this I wonder why they can’t do it in the 9th inning of a game.
I waiting for a seven run 9th inning one of these days down six.
Is that really too much to ask?
Aight Raffy, Throw Strikes!!!
May 24th, 20094:14 pm
yankees just tied in 9th
Bennett would get the win, no?
OK Braveheart you win… ATL is an offensive juggernaut and the only way to improve the team is trade some of our outstanding hitting for better pitching. What was I and the rest of the world thinking? We’re certifiable dummies. (HEATH)
This is not about winning an argument. Rather it is about winning games. Never claimed that they were an offensive juggernaut. Just saying there are many ways to win baseball games, and it would be better to consider every option in the entire market in trying to improve the team, rather than limiting yourself to one side of the market, which is what you are blindly advocating.
So, we gonna see Acosta in the 9th?
Yankees tie the game..Lidge is back to earth so hard this season.
What an inning……WTG bravos!!!
How Sweep It Is To Be Loved By You! ~_~
Yankees just tied up Phils in bot 9
nolie, have you seen the Jays record? I think maybe you need your head examined. What are you talking about?
I’m a genius! Bow down to me
May 24th, 20094:15 pm
Yeah, I’d say Acosta in the 9th.
With such a bit lead, I’d give Soriano a break, for Monday.
May 24th, 20094:16 pm
BIG, I mean.
Who Would’ve thought Thursday night that the braves would end up sweeping the Blue Jays…Without Esco and Chipper
I’m Telling you that these boys Show Up when we play the good teams of the league
Now If we could play like this against the Jubroni teams of the league!
May 24th, 20094:17 pm
should we trade lidge for gonzo??
May 24th, 20094:18 pm
About to go 18-11 when Jair, Javier, and Derek start, 5-9 when they don’t. Damn you offense, why do you play favorites and are only good enough to win when the good pitchers pitch?
So after Bennett got the third out I thought I’d pop out to the grocery quickly so I’d be home for what figured to be an exciting ending – luckily I had a radio with me. Congratulations to the lady in Americus for winning $11,011 in the Lucky 7 contest on the radio.
TnBrian(taking DOB's spot today)
Kyle, dude seriously, what do I look like to you, a fortune teller? NO, I haven’t heard anything on Medlen to the pen and as far as I know he will make another start against the Giants. That answer your question? GEEEZ…
a fan from americus?? won 11,000 plus change for 7 in the 7th.
Man, Soriano has such great stuff. We would be a better team with O’Flaherty and Gonzo pitching to lefties in late situations and Soriano closing.
May 24th, 20094:19 pm
My girl ! Danica is running 3rd with 39 to go !!!
May 24th, 20094:20 pm
It’s called sarcasm Brian, just like my posts last night. I am rehashing all the trash that the haters constantly spew out. I am aware that the Rays aren’t winning with all those stolen bases and the Jays are having a good year so far.
Macon Braves (RIP)
I’m guessing nolie is a glass half empty kinda guy. Dang, Braves fans can’t even enjoy a seven run inning without somebody trying to crap on the parade?
correction with 28 laps to go ! Go Danica !!
May 24th, 20094:21 pm
I feel ya. I admit I was a little skeptical Thurs. night. This shows me something though. Maybe we caught them at the right time, but we’ll take it.
Piedmont Blues (ex-BFIR)
I should threaten to read more books. Wow.
sox 7 to 5 over muts in the 7th.
DOB or Anyone
Still got to finish this one off but …
When was the last time the Braves were 3 games over 500?
May 24th, 20094:22 pm
Damn ! Danica with 17 to go ! I’m exited !!!
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
