After all of the “trade young pitching for aging ball players” talk, I thought I’d throw out a “trade young pitching for dynamic young talent” post. Just wishful thinking on my part.
You fellas betta lay offa my honey, Jeffy Baby. Of coourse he is a miserable hitter look who his hitting coach is, the master batsman, Terry Pendleton. Just rememba, its so much mora important to be a handsome likeable guy that to be a good playa.
My goodness how the average Atlanta fan just cannot get enough of my Jeffy Baby. It is even hard for me to believe how gullible and stupid those fans ara. Just keep the money comin’ honey, just lovin’ the $3.5 mil this yea.
By the by, who is this Chino and why is he always singin’ about his FUPA?
I consider myself to be more of an optimistic fan of the braves, even picking them to win the division this year. With that said, I think two things can be made of tonight’s game thus far. KJ can thrive lower in the lineup and Frenchy can thrive on the pine or with a change of scenery. I think Frenchy is a great guy and a good face for the hometown team, but his abilities have diminished severely over such a short period of time. His talent, or lack thereof, is wearing thin on all of our patience at this point.
So Chip was talking about pitching around Barmes with the pitcher on deck. JJ goes aggressively after Barmes and strikes him out on three pitches to strand Iannetta at third and pick up Mac for the throw into the runner.
I don’t mind announcers strategizing. But, Geez, at least react to what’s going on in the actual game.
A coach can turn blue in the face, But if a player keeps going to the plate and do what he the hitter wants to do, there is nothing the coach can do !!! Can he ?!
Can we really get angry with Jeff? I mean he came on the scene so strong, maybe he just never had the potential we all thought he had. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I just don’t think you got what we once thought Jeff.
New lineup yields 6 runs on 9 hits in 4 innings. I’m digging it. Good think the Allknowing HOF manager consults the denizens before filling out the card.
Nice play by Kotchman and Jurrjens to retire Helton. Ball ricocheted off Krotch’s chest away form the bag. He stuck with it and fed to Jurrjens who stayed with the play and covered first.
Frenchy hits a weak grounder to SS on a pitch down and out of the strike zone to strand a runner in scoring position. Yes, this is the Braves after all.
KJ needs to stay down in the batting order. He looks like a totally different player. Meanwhile, Frenchy continues to play pepper with the left side of the infield.
I have to admit it that K-Fer Is looking better…It seems like he has adopted an “hitting the ball inside out approach” and trying to hit the ball to the opposite field…May he turns it around if he keeps it up…
Necro, I don’t get it either about Kotchman, he’s Atlanta’s Mark Grace and I’m happy with that. He should have been in the no.2 hole since the beginning of the season though.
I love how the Peachtree TV people are specifically telling people to crowd around the camera before they cut to the shot to make it look like there are “a ton of people here!”
“There’s no place to even stand. It’s a mad house down here! Hold onto your hat ladies and gents!”
Now Frenchie’s Attorney you know owa little non-disclosua agreement won’t let me say much. However, you may recall that old joke about why the bride was laughing to herself as she walked down the aisle at her weddin’? Why she knew that hur soon to be husband had gotten the last humma from hur.
You might say Jeffy Baby might be a little tense right now.
I was gonna send a post when the game was starting but I was not able to because I got busy in a hurry. I was gonna post as soon as I saw KJ hitting down in the order that I would bet that he was gonna go 2 for 4…………….guess that I would have lost that bet, but at least I was gonna be happy since he would do even better…………….
