Finally We take Advantage of the opposing team giving us extra outs to Play with…I give a big Shout out to Double J for making that inning happen…You can’t undermine speed…
Oh and BTW, that last half-inning was the loudest I’ve seen this crowd get in wweks
Yes Yogi was right, Jeff is a head case. lol I swear the broadcasters read our comments here. I mean, that was pretty much verified when they talked about sending text messages to Loaf in the dugout.
Atombomb, with apologies to jonatuga, no, Skip and Petes is no more. The barbecue place is still there, but it is not named Skip and Petes. It has more of a “corporate” name to it. I’m pretty sure they renamed the one on the Golden Moon level as well. I ordered a barbecue plate there a couple weeks ago, and it seemed like i noticed a name change there too.

Hey, and congrats to Jason Kendall! He got # 2,000 last night!
Dangit, that knocked BMac’s AVG down to .288. Kind of a rotten at bat…that one with the bases loaded. Guess you can’t hit ‘em all…at least we’re winning.
Carroll–That’s the only way to deal with idiots and Trolls, just ignore them…..they’ll eventually get mad that they can’t get a reaction and go elsewhere (or keep wasting their own time while being ignored)
It’s not just the team that’s keeping folks away. This economy is crushing lotsa dreams, here and everywhere else. Lotsa 2-worker households are down to one now too, making it hard to make ends meet. Most of us are fortunate, but I’m sure there are some here suffering financially. If that’s the case, I sincerely feel deeply for you.

Yeah, another quake, although a minor one- the biggest problem with being in a downtown high rise during a quake is that they are designed to roll instead of shake…and even with a short quake, it typically takes a few minutes for the building to fully settle- not a good feeling (think boat on waves) Oh, well
Anyways on to the game- looking much better then last night, although that’s not saying much…new lineup seems to be working so far
Times are hard for sure, Shamus, damn hard time to have a kid in college but I will say it is a lot better than it was when I was shelling out around $200 per week to keep gas in 3 vehicles. But because of how hard it was for everyone during that time and all the mortgages and credit card companies taking a hit it is a nightmare trying to get student loans for this fall. All the Mac and Mae low interest loans are a thing of the past, they’re not even offering the Sallie Mae loans for this fall.
Here’s a thang about the Rome Braves 6-game streak into first-place.
