Is it just me or does Garret Anderson seem disinterested
No, it’s not just you. All the sheetwearers think the same way and keep telling us all the time. But then the whole “lazy”, “disinterested” black guy thing has been popular in these parts for centuries. Perhaps if the Braves took some pages from the plantation owners handbook then Anderson would get the message!
Blogger it’s not you. We’ve commented for awhile that he should have his locker checked for a bong and maybe the rest of the Braves were getting a contact high. I call him Pineapple Express

Woah, put that race card back in your wallet there, Jesse. Garret Anderson sucks, period, end of story. His skin color doesn’t make him good.
Seems to me, that Glavine, Maddux and Smoltz got PLENTY of attention in the 90’s. My suggestion is that if he were on a winning team, regardless of where that is, he’d get more attention.
Greinke’s got a bigger bitch that JJJ does at this point.
Winning. It will cure it all. The ignoring from ESPN (why anybody cares what highlights they show is beyond me), fans will buy tickets, and th bitching on the blog will subside (except for me – I’m an equal opportunity bitcher).
CC Sabathia seemed to get plenty of attention from ESPN while in Cleveland and the mecca otherwise known as Milwaukee.
You guys pizzing and moaning about ESPN must be too young to remember when the ONLY team that ESPN covered and talked about was the Braves. Almost 10 years of it.
Win. It’s that simple. Playing .500 ball doesn’t even get the people that live in Atlanta to pay attention. Why on Earth would ESPN waste valuble minutes covering a .500 team who’s hometown fans don’t even care about?
If anything, blame TBS for dumping the Braves. When they were on nightly, ESPN new there was a contingency of fans around the country that paid attention to them. Now? We might as well be the D-Rays in the late 90’s. That’s how significant the Braves are to anybody who isn’t a Braves fan.
Deal with it until they start winning. Welcome to the 80’s.
Some here have inquired about Hudson but I firmly believe the Braves will only use Hudson after Sept. call ups. No need rushing it and it will only be an audition start or two. Hudson can say he is ready but no way the Braves bring him up early and stick him in the pen. If they are thinking about picking up his option (and again that is a very big IF)they are surely not going to rush him up just because he says he is ready coming off Tommy John. Ain’t happening folks regardless of the number of interviews saying otherwise.
I think Chip’s comment was a little stupid. He said, “that was a productive at bat for the Braves, because now, you clear Jurrjens.”
Okay; but, by that rationale, the only unproductive at bat in that situation would’ve been a double-play.
It seems, and I know these are the home announcers, that these guys are a little too eager to complement the Braves, namely those that are struggling (like Francoeur, and currently, Schafer).
Personally, I think I might feel a bit patronized if I was one of these guys and overheard the calls that were being made during my at-bats.
low attendance? It’s the economy, schools not out yet, it’s a weeknight, the wind is blowing, the Rockies suck. Take your pick of lame excuses. This team is not fun to watch, people stay home.

no kidding, AJC sucks, really? I’m not at other ballparks, just commenting on this one. and if you read the blog above, you’d know i am being more than fair to the braves about the attendance. ..
Why is everyone hating on the 24 season finale last night? I thought it was excellent…Kim not being the damsel in distress…..Her “dammit” had me rolling when her phone went out…all in all i thought it was a great finale. BTW, the last hour is never action packed, that’s the “cooling down” time.
Anyway, hey I’m here early tonight….wow i’m shocked there hasn’t been more fun made of the Mets game last night. Some of you maybe saw my post last night at 2 AM (check it out if you didn’t) where i was literally puking my brains out after staying up 3 hours past my bedtime to watch the Mets do that crap. But like i said last night, and others have echoed today, the Mets have everyone playing out of position–i’m just shocked it took that long to look that ugly.
I will also tell you i’m a little upset that Cox has this lineup going tonight…it actually looks pretty good.
Wow they’re playing like the braves. If we can’t beat them when they’re doing everything they can to give it away then we just need to call it a season.
