Great throw by McCann, whether he got Beltran or not. Looked like he probably got him, despite call. Ballsy move by Beltran to steal third with one out and put the potential tying run on third.
May 12th, 20099:45 pm
Beltran was out.
Eric from MO
Sets up the doubleplay!
I wonder if Cox has thought about yanking Gonzo yet? WTF is Soriano?
Settle down, Gonzo.
Get Gonzo out of thereeee
Tatis stuck his thigh right over the plate not fair.
May 12th, 20099:46 pm
This is closer than I like…
Even the met commentators are saying he was thrown out at third
May 12th, 20099:47 pm
Dang. Tie game. Do not lose this one!
Typical NY homer call he was out the replay clearly shows it. The umps gave them this one
Umps blew it.
May 12th, 20099:48 pm
involuntary screech #3…door closed this time
Gonzo GIVES IT UP!
Damn. Why can’t these guys just get outs all the time?
That call looks really bad now….although I’d argue not as bad as the call to leave JJ in for one more batter
The Braves have got to get a left fielder!!!!!
This guy is all over the place. Spot the damn ball. And they blow another one for JJ. Gotta feel for the kid. I couldnt be motivated to pitch for these clowns.
This is when I wish we had a catcher like Molina. Wouldnt of been close, and the ump couldnt of blown it.
MFin04 (The Hopeless Romantic)
Well that’s were getting screwed over hurts.
Why did he hit it to left field.. Anywhere else especially RF and this game could have been over.
That was dumb.
Kotchman with a nice play again
2 times tonight Mets looked safe..but called out and when one is out they are called effin safe!!!!!!
Boy – JJ didnt get the win after his great performance today. No wonder Lowe feels that way for him.
So sorry JJ. Hitting Tatis with an 0-2 count…..BIG MISTAKE.
All because Anderson’s afraid of the grass.
May 12th, 20099:49 pm
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! Brian got ROBBED!!!!!!!!!! (&(%&($#%&(&(#&(&%#(#&%(#&$(#&$#*^&$*#^$&
Well that was definitely NOT double pits to chesty. Gonzo gives it up yet again.
Man, that HBP – on an 0-2 pitch – that hurt! And the blown call at 3rd base didn’t help at all. Just tough luck for JJ.
Like it or not, this is baseball at its best!
Wheeere the HEck is Soriano…even if hes been used 2 straight…gotta bring him in here…jeez..
I still think we’ll win this.
Bobby Cox blew this game, his failure to understand when to take out his starter but this game in jeopardy, pure stupidity. But hey he’s the guy who keeps trotting Kelly Johnson out there so what should we expect from him.
…Cox should not have let JJ pitch to Reyes.
sucks that another brilliant outing from JJ gets wasted but the 3rd base ump missed a crucial call there (no, not totally his fault we gave up the lead, but…)
pooor Jair…His performance goes to waste..good this teaam..

“We suck.” – PWHjort
Wasn’t that you telling bloggers to “grow up” earlier? Ha!
Jair Jurrjens should get to pick one of Garret Anderson’s wife or Mike Gonzalez’s wife and do something sexually filthy with her in the clubhouse. Because that’s about as good as they treated him today.
Could have gone either way in the Beltran play, unfortunately the umpire elected to call him safe.
Gonzo got robbed too damnit!!!!! I HATE this no replay crap! This game should be OVER. FU** the Mets.
Oh look, ZZ Top in the house.
DANGIT!!! Beltran was out by a friggin’ MILE!! And if they wouldn’t have ruled that a ground-rule double, we’d have won anyway!!
Gosh…drat…hecky-hecky, darn darn…stinky jerk, doo-doo!!
In the words of the immortal, Skip Caray, “free baseball”.
May 12th, 20099:51 pm
More great defense only we didn’t get the call. Another no decision for JJ. That ain’t right.
Here’s where we really need to prove our mettle. Middle of the order.
Game should be over though. Gotta get a run and Soriano better get them out.
Like nearly always when my posts are shorter than 10 sentences, I wasn’t sincere, mbatl.
Why is it that our team has to keep getting continuously SCREWED by the umpires?!?!
Beltran’s run doesn’t score and this game would already be over…
I really don’t like where this is headed!
Um..I’m going to overlook how weird that was, PWJ, and just say that I don’t think either Loaf or Gonzo have wives.
No More Bloggin' From Work Soon (for Some)
As part of an ongoing effort to secure DoD networks, the Joint Task Force – Global Network Operations (JTF-GNO) plans to soon implement Web Whitelist filters at the DoD Internet Access Points. What that means is that Web sites must be on DoD’s Web Whitelist or the DoD Internet Access Points will block all DoD network users from connecting to those sites. The filters will also block “unknown” or “known bad” Web users from connecting to DoD and DCMA Web sites.
Anderson is so lackluster….his lackadaisical plays in the outfield are really irritating. At least Diaz cares…
May 12th, 20099:52 pm
I wish Soriano would just become the permanent 9th inning guy….
Tomas, if the ball beats a runner there, he is always out…its the rule of baseball. Not sure why, but it is.
Both Mets were out earlier in the game. Both good calls. However, that last call was motivated by two things. Home crowd and the runner was Beltran.
Ump blew the call and in terms of how close was it? It wasn’t. Beltran’s hand slid over Chippers glove while he’s holding the ball. how can you miss that?
Game should be over.
The ump wasnt in proper position to make that call so I guess he just assumed he was safe.
My heavens, now that the game is tied, I have to watch Francoeur come to bat again, and again let everybody down.
K-rod working 2 innings for Jerry manuel. Great hit by Chipper.
May 12th, 20099:53 pm
I thought Beltran would steal in that situation but he definately looked out. Oh well, the HBP didn’t help. Also stranding Schafer who got a leadoff hit didn’t help either. Well got the middle of the order up now.
Jair deserved better. Why call an off speed pitch and speed up his bat when he hasn’t been able to get around on the fastball?
Come on HEAP. Make ‘em pay for that robbery at 3rd.
Settle down, young lady. You’re about to use some expletives that may embarass you tomorrow. We’ll win, relax.
Can our 3,4,5 hitters get something going please!!!!
Is frankie rodriguez pitching another inning? he didn’t do a whole lot of that last year (68.1 innings in 76 appearances…do the math)- this could be good for us
Why do I keep getting the lineup mixed up?
Alright boys, let’s put Chipper’s hit to good use here.
May 12th, 2009
I said this before and I’ll say it again. Kelly Johnson BAHLOWS.
You’re a loser man. Just an outright loser. In the middle of the inning, with the score tied, you are looking for someone to try to blame – and the game isn’t lost – at least to the team players doing their job and trying to cover up for your loser azz.
May 12th, 20099:54 pm
Fucin Garrett Anderson, Another brilliant frank Wren move. Send his slow ass back to the angels.
Never thought I’d suggest that we put Diaz in for defensive purposes…dead lice wouldn’t fall off of G Anderson. Let him hit then sit him down.
Chipper you could walk into second if you wanted to. Krod not paying any attention
Who wins in a foot race….Kotchman, GA, Adam Dunn??
This season everybody walks Chipper because they know there isn’t anybody hitting behind him that matters.
Feel bad for JJ and Gonzo. Seems like Gonzo had a deal like that the last time he blew a save.
May 12th, 20099:55 pm
I dont know if i can HATEEEEEEEEE even more the worst LF in BASEBALL!!!!!!!!!!!
Anderson Delenda Est
Man this guy is a loser, How many pop ups does he have. Why is he on the Fucin team!!!!!!!!!!! Damnit.
Oooh….so close McCann!!!
May 12th, 20099:56 pm
He doesnt even try throwing it to home plate!!!
not our night
Don’t just blame Gonzo, this offense had plenty of chances to get more runs against Pelfrey. Our bullpen has been working a lot lately so those add on runs would have been important.
The truth is the best managers win in extras the braves have the worst record in baseball last year in xtras. LOL we dont bunt we dont steel we cant play small ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rob from SC
wow speedy Chipper
SB for Chipper. Old man has some wheels!
There you go Chip
Almost a HR.
Nice steal Chipper!
There ya go Chipper!
Yall called it with Chipper!!!!
May 12th, 20099:57 pm
Nice 3 game winning streak – it was time for the donkey to do something about it – nice job with the bullpen tonight Cox you stupid piece of dung
Anderson is disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice to see Chipper stealing a base!
Chipper stole a base. Wow hopefully he didn’t hurt himself.
Oh my god we stole maybe Bobby reads the blogs.
Chipper is making up for Andersons junk
Wow, almost, McFann!
Chippers Jones DID steal second . . . WOW! However, he probably now won’t play for a week or two with a pulled hamstring.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
