Bobby Cox is still a moron either way.

PWH why is Gonzo unavailable?
Hopefully Beltran will get a hit and then Wright will strike out and then Gonzo will shut ‘em down in the 9th.
May 12th, 20099:28 pm
wow- sheff is still alive?? who knew?
Moylan just hasn’t been able to get back to his 07 form, where had an ERA of 1.something…
If he gets back to his 07 form then this bulpen is definitely one of the top 3 in baseball.
At least Bobby is trying everything to avoid using Soriano today.
Every Brave on the field needs to have one thought in their head right now. “JoJo goes tomorrow. We HAVE to get this one.”
Let’s go BIG O’!
Anything’s better than rolling Moylan out there when the game’s on the line. Not sure about O’Flaherty either here.. Where’s the big guns? Bobby’s giving this one away.
Nice play CASEY!
Dr. Van Nostren

Nicely done, O’Flaherty and Kotchman.
I’m starting Krotchy’s fan club right here, right now.
WOW, what a play by Kotchman. Used every inch of his reach and vertical leap to get it.
LT- A Blogger
Sit down Sheffield!
Kotchman! My hero!
Let’s get two runs and Gonzo will blow them away.
I don’t know that Gonzo is unavailable, just suggesting he might be, but he’s pitched in 5 of the last 7 games and warmed up last night even though he didn’t make an official appearance.
May 12th, 20099:30 pm
Seems like Bobby handled it pretty well, to me.
I love good defensive plays. Thank you Casey Kotchman.
The only problem is…I’m having trouble coming up with a PG name for it.
Kotchman’s vertical leap is about an inch and a half but it was enough.
beating his wife ?
still a moron?
I think we all know who’s the moron, braveshater
where do I sign up?
May 12th, 20099:31 pm
I’m very impressed with Cox yanking Moylan so quickly. It seems he used to just leave guys out there to blow the game. Now its almost as if he’s fighting for his job, eh!

It may be fine, but if Soriano and Gonzo are both available there was no reason to bring in EOF or Moylan. 2 outs in the 8th in a 3-2 game against the Mets, name a better time to go to your guns in the game.
I got hand it to Wren, and his scouting staff for picking O’flaherty of waivers and not signing Will Ohman.
Huh, a single for Schafer.
Whew! $phincter was a little taut there for a minute..
Nice leap Kotch.
Finally a hit for Schafer
K’FER GOT A HIT! STFU!
May 12th, 20099:32 pm
Please Schafer steal a base.
Way to throw it low for him Sisco.
What happened? I blacked out when Schafer made contact. And now he’s on 1st.
who said anything about keeping it clean?
Love the bench this year. So much more confidence in the pinch hitters….
SB or H&R
Gonzo is warming up…no reason not to have gone to Soriano in the 8th.
May 12th, 20099:33 pm
How was that not foul?
Oh I know. I don’t care.
Kotchman is incredible. He’s doing it all even though he’s probably got some aches and pains.
There you go Jordan! Break his arm Omar! Oh I’m kidding. No I’m not.
Gotta win this one cause we’ll probably lose tomorrow.
He might not give the power the position calls for but he sure as hell can field the position. A beaut… and retract my last comment about O’Flaherty. He looks sharp. Just feel more comfortable with Gonzo or Soriano in those high pressure situations.
Bobby really doesn’t like to use the straight steal. He always prefers to give up on out and move the runner.
May 12th, 20099:34 pm
Not good Kelly.
Holy sh!t!!! Phillies stole home!! There goes their shot at winning with less than five runs
Another out for Johnson. Who would have guessed.
Kelly “first pitch” Johnson.
Wow Schafer off K-rod. Didn’t see that coming.
Fielding play in LF by Anderson was terrible. You want to believe he cares, but plays like that suggest otherwise. Sort of, if they double my salaray and pay me what I think I deserve then maybe I’ll try a bit harder.
Nice hit by Ice Cold. KJ just let a good pitch go by. KJ just doesn’t seem to be in sync with bat. Pop up. Aarrgghh!!!
Your a bravesfan what else would u say. Facts are facts.
May 12th, 20099:35 pm
KJ, 0 – 5 night. Definitely NOT DP to C.
Damn mlb.tv is not “live” as advertised. Kelly Johnson has not gotten out yet on my feed.
hey, I know it’s kinda irrelevant now, but RBI DOUBLE!!! Too bad it “hit a fan”…dude, that’s the second RBI that’s been taken away from him this year! It’ll even out…I hope…
Puts his AVG with RISP up to .294! Season AVG is looking much better, too. I’ve started my All-Star voting, BTW…
I didn’t change the channel…
Jayson Werth just stole home for Philly. Amazing, too. Waited for Martin to lob it back to the pitcher, then he took off.
Jason Werth stole his way around the bags on that. Incredible.
May 12th, 20099:36 pm
I said this before and I’ll say it again. Kelly Johnson BAHLOWS.
Idiots, Soriano has pitched the last two games. Lets wear out our oft injured set up man in May. Think McFly, think.
May 12th, 20099:37 pm
Wow – Jayson Werth stole 2nd, 3rd and home one after another. Phillies scored 5 again.
This guy is definitely one of the best closers in the game. Wow tremendous stuff.
y are u on a braves blog?
OK this is gonna be a close one
May 12th, 20099:38 pm
Using Nexdef makes your feed 1-2 minutes behind.
May 12th, 20099:39 pm
Strap on your seat belts… ..it might get a little bumpy..sigh
MLBTV is always live for me.
Tighten up you bootstraps folks, this is gonna be a nail biter!
Lets go Gonzo!
May 12th, 20099:40 pm
Said it’s only been done 49 times in history. Single, steal 2nd, 3rd, and home in one inning. Last time it happened was 13 years ago.
May 12th, 20099:41 pm
You gotta bounce that one in the dirt, Gonzo…
double by Beltran Oh my.
4th time in the NL since 1928…
“Oh well I’m going to bed. goodnight people”jennifer in GA
Who the heck are you kiddin’?
Man, if Jo Jo stinks it up tomorrow, will this finally be the cue to show him the door?
How many more opportunities is he going to get?
May 12th, 20099:42 pm
Jesus here we go again…pleaze goood..
Thank you Kotchman good play.
Thank you Kotchman! Whew!
MFin04 (The Hopeless Romantic)
Gonzo getting squeezed. Love how umps stop calling strikes. Good catch by Kotchman.
Whew! I thought Beltran would move over on that one.
“Man, if Jo Jo stinks it up tomorrow, will this finally be the cue to show him the door?”
You’re thinking about tomorrow? Now? Really?
would any of you rather have someone other then Casey at first base right now?
Kotch is the MAN !!!!
May 12th, 20099:43 pm
Where the hell is Kelly Johnson on the play, thats the second basemans ball. He’s a liability everywhere.
Where are all those Kotchman haters now?
The Braves have as much chance to win their division this year as I do to jump over the moon.
THey aren’t going to show Jo JO the door, it’s obvious this isn’t a performance based organization. If it was Kelly Johnson and 1/3 of this lineup wouldn’t be playing
No More Bobby
Turtle can play first base!!
What happened to using Soriano to close when there were a bunch of right handed batters up???
Oh hell no.
May 12th, 20099:44 pm
See Bleu, he has no arm!
They’re gonna try to steal home here, wait and see.
Damn Beltran stole 3rd. Bang bang.
Oh dear god HE WAS OUT
whew, that was REAL close at 3rd.
He was out, btw.
Replay shows Mac nailed Beltran at third..
Oh, boy. He was out at third…WTF
Bull !#@!!!!!! He was out!!!!
Terrible call. Wow.
