I love the way the team is playing right now, but why in the world is Kelly Johnson still leading off? I thought Infante was doing an excellent job.

I missed the OF Assist! D@mmit.

Jonze – don’t state tongue-in-cheek (what a pun) comments about the links I provided. Your posts make them look like they were SPAM or something stupid.

FYI ->The link I sent is David Wright and Jose Reyes in a photoshoot and they look HILARIOUS!!

Please for the LOVE OF GOD, someone “off” Kelly Johnson…

I’m seriously exhausted at him raising his body up and taking a 2 seam fastball for called strike 3 for the 1,000th time! Does he NOT realize he has done this for 3 years now and there’s a book on it?!

For what its worth, outstanding play on both ends by Jordan and BMac in getting the double play…

Oh, and just as I say that, Yunel gets another hit, even though he loafed and should have had a triple…

Continue the outstanding pitching JJ!

Bleu I think it was a play most catchers in baseball make. It was good, but nothing most catchers dont make.

Jeff321 yeah he was playing shallow but so what? That is not shotty defense, he was just taking away a bloop hit. If Wright gets a single the tying run comes to the plate. Single more likely than a triple. It was not shotty defense.

That’s the general consensus of the photoshoot. I’m not going to say there’s anything wrong with that if that’s they way they choose to live their life, but MAN those photos are a real shocker.

Only problem is, Wright didn’t hit a bloop single!

This situation is where the Braves really struggled last year. Late lead that is very slim. Runners in scoring position to extend the lead. Last year they whiffed miserably. Lets see what McCann has today

Jeff Francoeur is a handsome fellow, but being handsome doesn’t cut it in the major leagues. He simply doesn’t carry his weight on the Braves. If we can get anything for him at all, I believe its time to try a trade. Maybe if he isn’t the hometown boy, he can finally become the hitter that he’s supposed to have been. Here, however, mediocrity is all we get. Its time to pull the rip cord and try somebody else.

Chop- KJ is a .285 15-22 HR hitter if he hits in the 6th-8th spot, that’s a lot of offense out of a 2B. Schafer is not ready for the majors from a hitting stand point. We gotta find a lead off batter and CF if we wanna be consistent.

TennesseePaul

Last night, one of the Mets announcers said Frenchy looks sorta demonic when batting. (Speaking about the look on his face and teeth sticking out I would suppose.)

Now, I can’t exactly agree with that assessment. However, he does look mighty goofy!

RLPmetro

May 12th, 2009
9:23 pm

DOB…if you could, can you give us your opinion on the visiting bullpen at Citi Field? I hear that you can’t tell what is going on there from anywhere in the park. It really seems to hinder the TV broadcast because they don’t even mention that the Braves have anyone up in the pen. For all we know, JJ would have had to finish that inning because the Braves didn’t have anyone warming up. Have you had a chance to go out there and look at it? Can the players really not see the game from the pen? That must stink!
