Chop It Up All-star
May 12th, 20099:03 pm
I love the way the team is playing right now, but why in the world is Kelly Johnson still leading off? I thought Infante was doing an excellent job.
Speaking of buying stuff..have any of you girls bought any of the Alyssa Milano stuff? I like it a lot.
YUNEL is on fiah!
I missed the OF Assist! D@mmit.
Jonze – don’t state tongue-in-cheek (what a pun) comments about the links I provided. Your posts make them look like they were SPAM or something stupid.
FYI ->The link I sent is David Wright and Jose Reyes in a photoshoot and they look HILARIOUS!!
May 12th, 20099:04 pm
Please for the LOVE OF GOD, someone “off” Kelly Johnson…
I’m seriously exhausted at him raising his body up and taking a 2 seam fastball for called strike 3 for the 1,000th time! Does he NOT realize he has done this for 3 years now and there’s a book on it?!
For what its worth, outstanding play on both ends by Jordan and BMac in getting the double play…
Oh, and just as I say that, Yunel gets another hit, even though he loafed and should have had a triple…
Continue the outstanding pitching JJ!
Thank you, jennifer.
May 12th, 20099:05 pm
That should have been a triple Escabor !!!!!
Eric from MO
Bleu I think it was a play most catchers in baseball make. It was good, but nothing most catchers dont make.
Jeff321 yeah he was playing shallow but so what? That is not shotty defense, he was just taking away a bloop hit. If Wright gets a single the tying run comes to the plate. Single more likely than a triple. It was not shotty defense.

u are welcome- hope u find what u are looking for:D
Here comes Klutchy Krotchy.
May 12th, 20099:07 pm
That’s the general consensus of the photoshoot. I’m not going to say there’s anything wrong with that if that’s they way they choose to live their life, but MAN those photos are a real shocker.
Right after Mac…lol
May 12th, 20099:08 pm
Only problem is, Wright didn’t hit a bloop single!
This situation is where the Braves really struggled last year. Late lead that is very slim. Runners in scoring position to extend the lead. Last year they whiffed miserably. Lets see what McCann has today
That photoshoot couldn’t possibly be gayer unless they were actually engaged in some form of intercourse.
hey all here is the streaker in the 5th inning http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/photo;_ylt=Alle6YcofE.PZ.r06IwPP3cRvLYF?slug=db12f4efaead3447a152eabbe8da1311-getty-85133771jm010_atlanta_brave&prov=getty

Nice run support for Jurrjens
F*ing mets fans stole an RBI from Mac!!
different year. Different result. Glasses are not a bad thing. Way to go McCann!
Walking Kotchman, they are afraid of him!
May 12th, 20099:10 pm
Just wasn’t prepared for the turbo-man pics I would see. The link is legit. Too legit for me.
Boy – Frenchie not exactly doing well at the plate and here comes a bases loaded situation. Lets see what he does now.
Hit the railing which is “out of play.”
HAHA is he wearing a….nicotine patch?
Yunel needs to run harder.
May 12th, 20099:11 pm
McCann has raised his average from .195 to .279 since Friday. He is just awesome!!!! Those glasses must be just what the doctor ordered.
dont know but its funny
And now all that respect the Mets are handing Francoeur….
got to get Jeff going again …
May 12th, 20099:12 pm
I was wondering how he could hit a ground rule double into a 25 foot wall.
Thank you all for the explanation about BA–OBP. Learned something new today.
May 12th, 20099:13 pm
Another outstanding AB put in by BMac…just proof that great hitters rarely slump, especially when they can actually see the ball…
Is it possible to start thinking about batting Francine 9th?
I’m guessing it’s Heap that Chipper is describing as the “flat out laziest person I’ve ever seen in my life” on that straight up promo. Or maybe he’s talking about Loaf. Or himself.
May 12th, 20099:14 pm
lol the streaker looks like he’s wearing one of those monkeys that the arms stick together
May 12th, 20099:15 pm
Phillies might get their first win when scoreing less than 5…
did he say “laziest?” I always thought it was “ugliest” which I know isn’t Mac
May 12th, 20099:16 pm
I am not doubting you but have the phillies really not won a game scoring less then 5 runs? Wow!
Oh cabraves, you may be right. I thought he said laziest. It took several viewings before I understood anything he said so I definitely could have misunderstood.
May 12th, 20099:17 pm
Jeff Francoeur is a handsome fellow, but being handsome doesn’t cut it in the major leagues. He simply doesn’t carry his weight on the Braves. If we can get anything for him at all, I believe its time to try a trade. Maybe if he isn’t the hometown boy, he can finally become the hitter that he’s supposed to have been. Here, however, mediocrity is all we get. Its time to pull the rip cord and try somebody else.
Chipper says something about the ugliest person….Mac says something about hanging out with someone that would make him bald.
May 12th, 20099:19 pm
Since Reyes is going tomorrow I hope Bobby will tell Buddy Carlyle to be ready on short notice…
We don’t won’t to get buried too early.
Is Anderson afraid of diving?
Time to pull JJ?
May 12th, 20099:20 pm
cabraves: Yup. Crazy isn’t it?
Ok. Take him out. I think.
Whew that was close.
damn…. JJ is getting tired time to take him out!!!
JJ should of been pulled before Reyes.
What was Reyes thinking there? Answer: Wasn’t.
I guess Anderson doesn’t want any grass stains on his uni.
May 12th, 20099:21 pm
is this going to be one of the instances where Bobby sticks w/ JJ too long? I mean, he didn’t have but 92 pitches going in to the inning, but with as good as Raffy and Gonzo have been, why not bring them in??
Its time to YANK Jair! No sense in losing this one.
JJ pitched a GOOD game though
Dr. Van Nostren
Great effort from JJ! Hopefully we can hang on and get him a W.
I think that hit answers my question.
On the replay, it looked like he was actually safe. But the throw was there so far ahead of him, I think the ump was going to call him out regardless.
I hate Reyes, such a showboat. Nice to see him screwing his team again tonight.
Looked like Loaf was hustling as best he could to me, Ian.
Chop- KJ is a .285 15-22 HR hitter if he hits in the 6th-8th spot, that’s a lot of offense out of a 2B. Schafer is not ready for the majors from a hitting stand point. We gotta find a lead off batter and CF if we wanna be consistent.
May 12th, 20099:22 pm
Sheeeesh. I was hoping he’d get through this one for a CG SO. But, he is still young. The ball kept creepin’ up in the zone. Hope this pen can shut ‘em down tonight.
Sure looked like Anderson could have dove for that ball !
That’s what I was thinking DOB, but they always say it’s if the ball beats the runner is all that matters.
DOB, Reyes was thinking…about himself on ESPN later tonight!
if that stat isn’t proof that the park they play in isn’t a total joke, nothing is…
May 12th, 20099:23 pm
I was fine with letting JJ starting the inning. Even fine after he gave up the first single but after two was on he should of been pulled. That being said Soriano and Gonzo should be able to close this out.
Cox should have brought in Peter on Reyes…
Last night, one of the Mets announcers said Frenchy looks sorta demonic when batting. (Speaking about the look on his face and teeth sticking out I would suppose.)
Now, I can’t exactly agree with that assessment. However, he does look mighty goofy!
DOB…if you could, can you give us your opinion on the visiting bullpen at Citi Field? I hear that you can’t tell what is going on there from anywhere in the park. It really seems to hinder the TV broadcast because they don’t even mention that the Braves have anyone up in the pen. For all we know, JJ would have had to finish that inning because the Braves didn’t have anyone warming up. Have you had a chance to go out there and look at it? Can the players really not see the game from the pen? That must stink!
Great job by JJ. Sure would have liked to have seen a bit more effort from G.A. there. We gotta buckle down.
What??? Moylan instead of Soriano?
or is a total joke
When is kelly johnson going to help the pitcher out, damnit he sucks. Im sick of watching his sorry ass. 0-4, no range at second, what does he do. Nothing.
May 12th, 20099:24 pm
GA is old and slow in the field….really terrible. Second time tonight, too. Any non-decrepit LF would have caught the other one, too….just lucky the first time he could toss the guy out for the force at 2nd
Molyan has been great but man he makes me nervous.
Here comes another blowup and No win for your JJ.
damn come on PM get an OUT
GO TO THE GUNS!Bring in Soriano and Gonzo! This is the Mets you dont mess around!
Time to YANK Moylan!
Why did he bring him Moylan in anyway. Bobby Cox is a moron.
May 12th, 20099:25 pm
Maybe Gonzalez is unavailable and Cox wants to use Soriano to pitch the 9th.
Pete doesn’t have it! Go get him!
That was turrible, just turrible.
Get it, Bobby.
Hind sight is 20/20… I liked seeing Bobby stick with JJ there.
Great job by JJ! Hey, I saw some of the pictures of that streaker. What I want to know, when are one of you hot ladies going to get up enough courage, or get drunk enough, to shed your clothing and streak across the field. This isn’t just a man’s job, you know.
for someone who claims they hate this team, you seem awfully concerned about the way they play
Well, things have certainly turned a bit, haven’t they. Tension high now.
Great walk, Moylan. That’s awesome.
Maybe he needs to start beating his wife again to regain some fucin sense.
Ohhh Jesus I cant watch this….
I like the aggressiveness of cox on this one.
If we lose this game, I’m blaming Garret Anderson for that horse-sh!t fielding.
Oh well I’m going to bed. goodnight people
Rob from SC
Who is not available tonight, Soriano or Gonzalez
May 12th, 20099:26 pm
Agree DOB. Throw certainly beat him, but it looked like Reyes had the bag before Chipper tagged him.
Wish Moylan could hit the broad side of a barn. He couldn’t find the plate with both hands if the plate was put in his back pocket.
I hate the braves because they have a quota on the number of African Americans they allow on the roster.
I’d have even left Jurrjens in to face their #2 hitter.
Gulp! Im scared…
while I don’t put myself in the “hot ladies” catagory, there is not enough alcohol in the world to get me to streak naked in public…plus I’m not big on the whole “jail” part of it
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
