The announcers didn’t make Lowe lose it. Sitting for 25 minutes did. Don’t shoot the messenger.
Oh, and Chip Carey starts screaming about a deep fly ball and his voice gets high….. and the fielder catches the ball 30 feet short of the warning track.
You can get by with that on radio, but on TV the viewer sees the result. Chip ain’t high on my totem pole of announcers. He’s lucky he came from the family he did or he wouldn’t have a job. Yeah, he’s that bad.

Way to scratch a run by the Bravos. Lowe gives up one in the bottom 7th. Braves get it back in the 8th.
Chip indicates…first earned run of the game by the Braves.
Looks like the Mutts 7 game winning streak is coming to an end. Go Gonzo and Soriano.
One thing I love about Mutt’s winning streaks, they’re usually followed by losing streaks.

Scioscia may be the most underrated manager in the league…can you think of another that has been with their team as long as him, been as successful, and gets less attention? Even here in Southern California he is totally overshadowed by Joe Torre- and he is just as good of a manager in my opinion

Yeah I remembered just after typing that, that you come from the north don’t you? I have to cut through LA no matter how I go. It’s a nightmare. Anaheim is right off the freeway. Just exit, park and you’re there. The fans are “nicer” at the Angels games, but they have next to zero baseball knowledge.

Reyes is having a nightmare of a game.
In the outfield there were some fans hanging a sign over the wall…I think a Dominican flag? Umpires asked the fans to pull it back, and Peachtree gave us a wonderful view of three fans giving the umpire the finger. Classy Mutts fans.

Just looked it up. It says 53. And not only that, they are leading the majors in steals by a HUGE margin (nearly twice as many as third place and 16 more than second place.)
The Braves are dead last.

Actually, what you are hearing from the ESPN team tonight is the truth. You’re hearing an actual analysis of this team from outside the Atlanta media filter. Slow, not many longballs, need to play station to station, Cox used his head with the hit and run.
Folks the Braves can win like that, they just have to do things right and they are again tonight. Their conclusion? The rotation is good, bullpen coming together, can be a threat, but offense is the question.
Now is that a lie? No it ain’t! Offense will determine if this team is for real or not.
Again, don’t shoot the messenger. The reason I’m watching the ESPN feed instead of Peachtree is BECAUSE I want to go without the Atlanta filter tonight. Most nights I want the homer feed. Just wanted to hear what the rest of the baseball world thinks sometimes.

I like Anaheim so much better then dodger stadium I cannot even put it into words (I was there last season for Charlie Morton’s MLB debut)- to put it in perspective, it takes about the same time to get to dodger satdium as it does to get to anaheim stadium, and dodger stadium is only about 22 miles from my house (anaheim stadium is twice as far)

I’m going with the ESPN feed because it’s in HD personally. Don’t know why Peachtree isn’t offered in HD on DirecTV in my part of Georgia, but don’t miss listening to Chip anyway (I love Skip and Haray by the way, can’t really place my finger on why I can’t stand Chip, just can’t)

Oh and BTW….. the ESPN crew stated that the offense would be the question mark with the Braves, they also stated that the rotation was the big question mark for the Mets. They also stated that the Mets can’t afford to waste Santana starts because their rotation is so iffy.
Sounds like equal opportunity questioning by the announcers.

cabravesfan: That’s the pain I’m talking about. They buried that stadium in a hole. Then made it impossible to get to by funnelling fifty thousand cars down to single lane roads. And absolutely no public transportation to the park…
I like the tri-tip sandwiches at Anaheim as well. Though now with the remodeling at Dodger stadium Canters is over on the 3B side. They serve up some good eats.
