DOB what are the players saying about Schafer? Someone has to be feed up with this kid. Enough is enough.

El Cattivo, I haven’t seen that whatsoever. Mercifully, it’s not catching on with anyone except a couple of like-minded folks.

CorkylikesBeer-

AJ is hitting .340 with 3HR (our team lead) an OBP of .500 and slugging .660 for the Rangers. He’s walked 14 times vs. 10 SO.

Discontinuing the KFC coupon thing is retarded. What did they think, people would go and get a free meal or tell others to do the same? Stupid stupid company, they should be sued for false advertising.

I understand Bobby wanting to get KJ in there at get him going, but lets stop batting him 1st. We are making this guy into a silver slugger when he’s more Matt Diaz. Tie him up on the inside.

Their pitcher sees more pitches than KJ, Esco Chipper combined.

By the way, with runners on base, Schafer is now 5-for-42 (.119) with 21 strikeouts.

With RISP, he’s 2-for-23 with 12 strikeouts and ZERO RBI.

Sorry…but…at the moment… I believe if the pitcher threw Sammy Sosa’s GIANT “head” down the middle of the plate…Schafer would swing and miss…(and KJ… would probably “take” it for srike 3)

Jim, so true about Coste. Looked up his stats this morning, thinking same thing myself.

Sure enough, before today he’d hit .455 (20-for-44) with two homers and eight RBI in his past 15 games against the Braves.

In that same period (since Aug. 10, 2007), he hit .224 in 125 games against everyone else.

will say again. This team is so mismanaged by a old fart and a retard of a GM who already has destroyed one team .. Its time for Them to go.. when will the so called ownership get tired of losing and actually care about this team. a HOF manager doesnt mismanage a Ball team for 4 straight years like the way cox has.. His excuses and reasons just dont make any sense.. his lineups are awful and laughable.Bullpen usage unreal. KJ is not a leadoff hitter.. Infante has proven he deserves to play not KJ.. cox doesnt teach patience or small ball.. thats a joke . steal some bases H&R bunt .. until he is gone we should get used to the losing or bad records until the team and farm systems are used right. Hanson should be on this team. NOT 0 for 17 HOHO Reyes. Hes junk and a Minor leaguer thats it.. another example of mismanagment..

Three years ago the blog loved Chuck James, a year later it hated him.
Two years ago it cheered the Tex trade, now it kills it.
Last year we were calling for Morton, now we are ready to discard him.
This spring we nominated Schafer as the starting CF, now we are claiming he sucks.
This spring the more impatient were even rushing Heyward into the breech by August or Sept.
Now the chorus is for Hanson. What will it be if he struggles?
Meanwhile the only idiot on the blog is Bobby Cox, the rest of us are the only ones who know how to make this bunch into a winner.

MFin04, Kotchman is 6-for-24 with three extra-base hits and three strikeouts with RISP. Not good at all, but not even remotely as awful as the kid. And we’ll repeat, we really like Schafer and think he’s going to be a damn fine player for a long time. But right now … wow, is he struggling to make contact.
