The Braves had a very good series in Florida. The offense finally looked like it was coming around, and Jurrgens and Lowe pitched great.

I'm not naive to think that the Braves will go into Philly and New York and take two out of three in both places, or sweep in both places. What I'm hopeful of, would be to see a three and three trip the rest of the way. They can lose two out of three in one series, if they win two out of three in another. If they do that, they come home next week five and three, with a winning trip, to three tough cities, and can begin to feel positive about builing something.

Good two days in Florida. Let's hope we can build on it.

That ball Ross hit was a no-doubter. Enjoy your last day as our starter, Dave!

The Braves organization continues to overate these players. This team is not going to win. And on the subject of low attendance. I think the average fan is being priced out of the game. The enormous contracts are killing ticket prices. MLB keep up the good work and see what message the fans send your way.

Manny, Manny, Manny. Why? Before all of the mess with the Red Sox last year, Manny was probably my second favorite player behind Chipper. I turned on him a little for forcing his way out of Boston and now this(insert sad face here).

DJ's Glasses-Dude, I was vocally in favor of keeping Josh Anderson and sending Jordan down to AAA to work on the holes in his swing and to get some additional seasoning. I have no problem with him going back down, but was just saying that a trip to the DL might affect his psyche less than a trip to Gwinnett. Either way though, I pretty much agree that he isn't ready yet. Not too sure what our best option is at this point. I've never been a Blanco supporter and Omar would be brutal defensively. Yet another quandry.

Hope this shows people why it's better to let Heyward and Freeman acrue some time in the minors, though.

Doesn't it seem like Francoeur is hitting better than .287? Not that .287 is bad.

I'm not sure if Schafer's wrist is bothering him enough for a DL stint or not. But if his wrist is ok, he can't be far away from a trip to Gwinnett. He has looked incredibly feeble lately. Completely overmatched. Just throw him a fastball above the belt, and he cant' hit it. Period. That can't continue.

Lew,

I really don't want to sound way negative, but a part of me isn't surprised. The Braves live in the "lack of urgency" world. It seems to exist all the way through the organization. It has served them well in the past. It has also jumped up and bit their butts a few times. I believe in a sense of urgency in some instances. Don't want to pile on Shafer, but that should be something that has a sense of urgency attached to it. Sometimes its just not good enough to say " he'll work through it." It didn't work for Frenchy last year. He wasn't able to play through his problems, it took the off season to address them. Shafer is trying to work things out at the highest level when he's only been at the highest level for a month! That's a tall order for anyone.

At any rate, the Braves "wait and see" far too often for my liking. There is nothing wrong with being proactive and pushing for resolution sometimes both on and off the field.
