Bobby’s Cox…it may be what fans do, but its the dumb fans that do that. You don’t fire the manager of your team after almost 20 yrs bc of a bad stretch and you dont’ change around your order just for the hell of it. True fans know whats going on, and just because fans do it all the times doesn’t mean its alright

When any team in any sport isn’t playing they way they should, and the manager sticks with the same pieces, fans are gonna chime in. Whether it’s on talk radio, or on a blog, fans are going to voice their opinions. Maybe that’s not how it works in Atlanta, but that’s the way they do it in elsewhere. Fans will shout “Fire I-S-I-A-H” in New York, and fans will clog up every phone line in LA and request that Lamar Odom be the sixth man instead of Trevor Ariza if the Lakers don’t go 72-10. I think another thing that’s being overlooked today is the fact that a lot of the people in Atlanta weren’t born and raised here. I think that contributes to the “fair weather” attitude. A lot of times, if you don’t grow up rooting for a team then it’s hard to stick with them through thick and thin.
