Yeah, Chop Chop, I did it all for the Cookie, the Cookie, So you can take that cookie, And stick it up your, yeah!! Stick it up your, yeah!! Stick it up your, yeah!! Cook’s Pest Control
MCFann..you are a showoff
Our Braves are back, making a mediocre pitcher look like the ace of a staff.
April 26th, 20092:05 pm
All it took was for me to write about how Schafer hadn’t struck out lately … two strikeouts in his first two at-bats.
Logan strikes out swinging. Now that was Double Pits to Chesty.
Cookie, cookie, cookie…
We always make this guy look like CY Young. Dang it
Maybe we can sell high on Bennett and get a power hitter
Corky’s having a fine season
April 26th, 20092:06 pm
Oliver Perez sucks!
N Nine. Bennett has zero trade value.
Owens looks like a potential cy young winner
Laughing out loud at “turns back on infinity ERA”
Run Heap Run
Stop doing that. Seriously. I think you should start writing about how wonderful other teams are. Starting with the Cardinals.
Coach (2010 or bust)
April 26th, 20092:07 pm
Corky, yes, our Braves are the slowest team in baseball.
In fact, they just may be the slowest team in the entire history of our Braves dating all the way back to 1966.
Steve from OH
Nine..Corky Miller was on Baseball Tonight..last night…
Why do you put a scrolling advertisment on the batter’s eye?
April 26th, 20092:08 pm
Next blog entry title: Cards coming to town, Braves have no chance.
Game has come to a stop so that one of the advertising signs in RF can be turned off. Now that’s money well spent.
Saban at Dega
Frank from KS
April 26th, 20092:10 pm
Are you saying *Cookie* as in reference to Steve Harvey’s term?
PWHjort- That was just a stab at corkylikesbeer(like the name!)
April 26th, 20092:11 pm
Nice pitch by Kawakami. Looking sharp.
DOB: Let’s hope the Braves don’t mess up with all those numbers w/2 outs and RISP w/2 outs because of this blog, huh?
KK strikes out Nix on a long at bat. Throws him an inside fast ball that backs up over the plate.
Votto doubles on the first pitch.
Frenchy? Frenchy? Has anyone seen Frenchy? That was funny how he wasn’t even in the camera shot for a while..
April 26th, 20092:12 pm
BOOG…I have new respect for him due to his music selection..he has great taste…
Literally as I hit submit comment on that last sentence, Joey Votto hits a screamer down 1B line for first Reds hit.
Wild pitch moves Votto over to third. One out.
KK needs to “Lowe”r the boom on these guys with some SOs.
Corky would have had that ball smothered….
STOP DOING THAT DOB!!!!!
April 26th, 20092:13 pm
A soooofffft liner over KK. Runner holds at third. 2 outs. I don’t think a ball can be hit softer and still be called a line drive.
April 26th, 20092:14 pm
See DOB? SEE!!? STOP IT.
Instead of: KK looks great today! Nasty pitch.
Try: KK looks like crap. What a hack.
Home run from Bruce the Moose. Reds…2-0.
I’m available to crush all your dreams and hopes with a mere sentence or two. Call me at 555-…
April 26th, 20092:15 pm
We were zipping right along
“Once again the home run ball bites KK.”
I like Kawakami, but he is very homer prone. Bad park for him to pitch in.
April 26th, 20092:16 pm
My soul is in the LF stands. Don’t lose it please.
DOB…how about a “Micah Owings looking sharp” or something like that for the denizens?
There goes the neighborhood. 2-0 Reds.
April 26th, 20092:17 pm
DOB, quick, say “Bubdylan can’t get a date.” Help a brother out.
When is your next off day, DOB?
Carroll! Carroll! Carroll!
DO you hire out? ‘Cause I’ve got a few people who’s hopes and dreams I wouldn’t mind see get crushed…
That HR just snuck over the LF fence just inside the foul pole. Had the wind not been blowing out, it would have been the third out of the inning. Wasn’t a terrible pitch by KK, something high and outside, out of the strike zone.
Bruce only gets 1/2 a HR for that. The wind gets the other half.
April 26th, 20092:18 pm
We better re-do this blog. Take it all right now!
Chipper’s gonna get another HR today. I just feel it..and my feelings don’t suck, like DOB’s do.
abwright–he missed his spot badly, though.
April 26th, 20092:19 pm
Second half rotation: Put Hanson #4 and drop KK to #5
Falcons are getting alot of defensive guys in the draft
Encarnacion flies out to right center.
KK really only made one bad pitch in that inning on the double to Votto.
He looked pissed after the HR and took a few pitches to get back into the groove.
Hope the Bravos can remember that Micah Owings is not the best pitcher in the NL.
April 26th, 20092:21 pm
Steve from OH, 2:18 pm “abwright–he missed his spot badly, though.
On the HR? That may be so, but he missed out of the strike zone and should have gotten an out.
April 26th, 20092:22 pm
So when do we start BRIAN MCCANN EYE WATCH 2009 part 2? He’s going to the doc tomorrow…over/under on the number of posts asking for an update before the game- 20?
Can KK bunt?
Ross walks to lead off the inning. KK to bunt.
Joe Simpson plays along with Boog’s bullsh!t too much.
April 26th, 20092:23 pm
lol @ joe’s song choices for boog.
Love that Boog put Prodigy on his list- that would be a great at bat song
April 26th, 20092:24 pm
Two strikes on KK on a couple of sucky bunt attempts.
Wish I knew what was happening in the game, but Joe and Boog are obscuring the game with a stupid graphic.
KK strikes out on another sucky bunt attempt.
Yay, small ball.
Maybe Kelly will get a hit…
April 26th, 20092:25 pm
Phils just scored.
It’s now 5-1 Phils over the Fish….top 7
Best at bat song…..”Welcome to the Jungle”
So kk Kan’t bunt
April 26th, 20092:26 pm
Or not, seriously, what is he like 3 for his last 30 something?
KJ needs a day off badly
OH SNAP DOB GETTING SOME TV ACTION.
KJ skies one to right.
Joe and Boog just indicated that DOB to make a guest appearance on the game soon.
Next bests song…..”Sweet Caroline”
HA. Got your selections ready, DOB?
Guest appearance by DOB? Or are they just showing DOB’s intro song list?
April 26th, 20092:28 pm
That’s it Esco…drive up the pitch count until you get one you like.. then unload on it.
April 26th, 20092:29 pm
After winning eleven out of their first twelve games, the Florida Marlins are about lose their sixth game in a row. What a strange game baseball truly is.
DOB – Please, please, please… do your magic!!! Write that my mother-in-law is coming for a 2 week visit tomorrow!
If they are balking at paying royalties to play the songs, I can’t see them anteing up union rates to have DOB appear.
or just whiff. either way, get his pitch count up!
I’m actually trying to tune Joe and Boog out and watch the game. I just caught “…AJC’s Dave O’Brien”…”guest appearance.”
April 26th, 20092:30 pm
Leave KJ right where he is, Francoeur was fine last season as was AJ in 07.
April 26th, 20092:31 pm
Marlins are 9-0 against the Nats and Braves. 2-7 against everyone else.
April 26th, 20092:32 pm
it’s now 8-1 Phils…top 7.
Ya know, the R. Sox played horribly to start and they’ve turned things around.
Hernandez base hit.
cabravesfan over/under on the number of posts asking for an update before the game- 20?
…by me. I mean, we gotta guess how many times other bloggers will ask for an update.
April 26th, 20092:33 pm
So you are telling me I should take the over on that?
KK flattens Janish who was trying to bunt. 1st and 2nd, no one out.
Fast ball rides up and hits him in the shoulder. Ricochets and hits Ross.
April 26th, 20092:34 pm
This guy won’t hit a 3run HR, seriously.
April 26th, 20092:35 pm
Owings “singles” Ball hits the runner and spoils the double play.
Umpires conferring. Hernandez called out. 1st and Second, one out.
Fortunate break for the Braves there. Barely hit him.
April 26th, 20092:36 pm
Run Heap Run: The Braves are 1-4 in the games I’ve not covered this season. In other words, 1-4 in the games that Carroll has covered.
April 26th, 20092:37 pm
fortunate break? if it doesn’t hit him it’s a double play
Almost pick off Janish at second. Good throw and tag.
cabravesfan: I’ll say over. LOL
April 26th, 20092:38 pm
Blaine Boyer made his Cardinals debut last night. He gave up 2 hits, 1 unearned run, struck out a batter, allowed no homers or walks. His ERA is now down to a microscopic 23.14.
Whoever said GnR Welcome to the jungle…you got the band right but I think Sweet Child would make a better intro song. That opening riff is a thing of beauty.
For me? Fortune Faded by the Chili Peppers or Money for Nothing or Jimi Hendrix Watchtower or Judas Priest you’ve got another thing coming….it would take me forever to choose.
Dribbler to short. Yunel’s throw late. Bases loaded. 1 out.
Crap, on the replay it looked like it got him.
escobar has an arm
April 26th, 20092:39 pm
You’re right, cabravesfan. After watching replay, clear they would’ve had the DP if it didn’t interrupt path of the ball. My bad.
What’s up with the umps? Pay attention. He was out!
April 26th, 20092:40 pm
Hey Joe and Boog….how about more than one replay of such an important play? All the mindless, pointless babbling you both do during the course of a game…can we analyze some of the action instead? PLEASE.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
