Random 12:22, As usual that’s a funny reply. You are very good. I was, however, thinking more along the lines of something that would appear on an envelope. You know, something that a postal worker would look at and be able to find a slot for.

Well…damn, that leaves me out of the running I guess. I wore glasses in HS but haven’t since altho I need to get in and have my eyes checked tho….
and good about not having any use for the jerk-types. I still don’t know why/how a lot of women fall for them…for example here recently…Rihanna and Chris Brown and the country music version….Mindy McCready and her ex-b/f McKnight.
cabravesfan … I have you by a year. I figured, earlier, about 8-9, based on you telling McFann that you were a little older than she. I’ll be 32 in September.
Frank, it’s how a girl is raised as who they choose to be with. I’ve thought about this and that’s what I’ve come up with. Plus you throw in the hormone thing and it goes crazy from there. My girlfriend was raised right by her mom, but her dad didn’t give a crap about her or her brothers, so she’s real needy.
You actually have me by a year and a half (not to get too nitpicky)- I just turned 30 in March- and I don’t know exactly how old McFann is but I figure 10+ years is still “a little” older
You know, I always thought I had some good things going for me, when it came to attracting ladies. I, also, knew that I had some bad things. However, never in my wildest dreams, did I ever imagine my great eyesight was going to work against me.

I’ve often wondered why a team waits to “step it up” until a teamate is down for a while? Why not just ALWAYS play like that. I’ve thought the goal all along (with or without Mac) was to pitch good, and get timely hits?
If losing Mac to the DL was all it took to get this team on the right track, Bobby and Wren should have just put him on the 60 day DL while they’re at it.
I appreciate the guys realizing they need to focus and do what they can do in his abscence. But these guys are all being paid a ton of money. I think they should be able to do their job to the best of their ability ALL the time.
Imagine how the team would function if they “pitched good and got timely hits”, along with having both Chipper and Mac in the lineup? We’d be unstoppable.
Sorry for the sarcasm. Long day. It appears the Braves have righted the ship (for now) and that the Marlins hot start was more mirage than reality.
This division is gonna be a 4-way dogfight from the looks of it.
Hey, Frank from KS. I know what I wanted to ask you before. I never realized, until a few years ago, and I considered myself good at geography, that part of Kansas City, is across 2 states. Is that a postal nightmare or what?
“I was talking to Norton about his hitless start to the seaosn before yesterday’s game. He said he thought about trying to bunt the other day, “but there was no one to run for me.”DOB
Did he mean “in case” he got on base. Or did he mean to run TO first base out of the batters box for him?
Frank, my sister is in an abusive marriage. On vacation last year he starting drinking and mentally abused her in front of me. Well, he won’t be doing that anymore, at least when I’m not around. I’m with you on that. Beating woman, physically or mentally, animals, or children really brings out my temper.
cabravesfan … I went to ginger ale, after my 4th beer. Then, thanks to your advice, I thought, what the hell, I have nothing going on tomorrow. So I’m gonna have a 5th, maybe a 6th. (Still too many commas?)
Frank, I’m embarrassed to say it, but no. I always thought it was Kansas City, MO., only. I always wondered why they would name a city, “Kansas City”, and then stick it in Missouri. But, at the time, I was trying to find out if there really is a “sasquatch”. The city enigma, just had to wait.
You had me up until the point that you dissed the Lake Show…I’m sorry…but I just can’t handle that…I mean you couldn’t possibly be a Clipper fan could you?!
I’ve already tried to start the “rally” so to speak about Jordan hitting 1st…
Also, I read that some feel that it won’t matter if he hits 1 because Yunel hits 2 and doesn’t take many pitches…However, I have seen Yunel take lots of pitches w/ the leadoff man actually on base in front of him IF he knows he’s going to do something…
2 keys there under IF:
1) Kelly is hardly ever on base now and certainly not when he leads off an inning usually
2) When Kelly IS on, he’s never a threat to steal anything other than maybe a hug from Glenn Hubbard
I hope the KC in KS is better than KC in MO…one of the worst, most crime ridden towns in all of the U.S.
And before you ask, yes, I know…I stayed there for awhile before I ended up in St. Louis for school (one of the better towns IMO)…and now back in good old IL.
Not a Clippers fan. Grew up a die hard lakers fan, in the time of Magic, Worthy, AC Green and the rest of the great ’80’s teams. The family got involved with another team and so naturally I became a fan of them. But I really can’t stand Shaq (he was actually my neighbor for a short time aslo) and I dispise kobe- I also don;t watch the NBA much anymore (have become a huge college fan in the last few years)- I watch players now more then teams
OUCH! Kobe is my all-time favorite next to MJ of course…got to watch MJ a lot up close since I am from IL. BIG Laker fan…whats wrong w/ Shaq though? I hear he’s a really REALLY nice guy.
I also am more into college ball than Pro ball…then again it helps having season tix to college games w/ no pro team closer than the Bulls 3-hrs away…that and gas and everything just being way too expensive to road trip it like I used to.
It is nice to find an individual of the opposite sex w/ such great knowledge about baseball AND basketball…I didn’t know women like you existed!
Tom-
Good call on the butt pat…it seems as though Hubbard doesn’t do that with many guys…just Kelly and a couple others…That seems a bit odd, BUT if Kelly got more hits, albeit for Glenn to play grab-*ss all day long if he wishes.
Shaq can be a jacka** (was to several of my friends when he played here, on several different occasions)- I also have season tickets to college (USC, naturally) and I have found that I like it a lot more then the pro game.
We do exist, we are just kinda hard to find!
And on that note I really am out for the night…
Don’t forget, when KJ was learning the 2nd base position, he and Hubbard spent a lot of time together. (in the words of Coach (or somebody), just saying …) Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
I hope the KC in KS is better than KC in MO…one of the worst, most crime ridden towns in all of the U.S.
And before you ask, yes, I know…I stayed there for awhile before I ended up in St. Louis for school (one of the better towns IMO)…and now back in good old IL.
Um, St. Louis is far worse in crime than Kansas City, especially if you count East St. Louis. As far as cities go I would consider KC one of the safeist.
I just had the best idea ever. Colored closed caption to show emotion. They could come up with a code. Red for angry-sounding. Superbright red for very angry-sounding. Yellow for warm-sounding. White for cold. Blue for depressed-sounding.
I know, the hearing impaired are used to reading emotions in tiny details of expression, and can do that with the actors. But hearing people get both audio and visual clues to spoken words, and there are a lot of nuances achieved by the combination. Especially when someone looks one way and sounds another.
Colored closed captioning would give (at least a hearing person’s interpretation of) some of the audio clues to combine with their excellent visual instincts. IN FACT, and here’s why it’s brilliant, it would add layers of understanding to their visual clues. Because they would “hear” what kinds of voices go with what kind of faces in tons of combinations.
Beer makes me very smart. I’m staying drunk forever.
I just stepped onto the front porch and shot a can of OFF with a bb gun from twenty yards out. It went CRAZY. Spewing and spinning all over the place.
I really was going to bed, but I saw an ant the size of a small dog crawling up the wall. When I tried to catch him in a glass (Biology instructor wants this type of stuff), I missed and he disappeared into some place devious. When I go to sleep, he’s gonna get me.
Have any of you ever called your regular phone with your cell phone and talked with a phone to each ear? The little delay is way cool. I sing a song that goes “talkin’ to da self on da cell phone” if you say it out loud, you’ll see why it’s amusing.
Yunel is made man, you have been warned. Any negative comment will be viwed as a threat to the cartel. Mr. Chip I suggest you bat straight handed and stop flipping when you are in the box. A true man is honest with his hands.
My drunk adaptation of the bubd closed-captioning plan:
Blog posts by cabravesfan and Tom O’ Hawke in colors based on level of need and desperation.
Not that I would be any different, mind you. A 30 year old Braves’ and Niners’ fan, who rails against Fox’s Saturday exclusivity…anything over 100 IQ, and under 320 lbs (Yeah, I’ve got standards), and I’d need Nolies’ fictitious vibrator (what for, I’m not sure).
To the folks asking DOB to stop usin’ anything remotely profane:
I really like how you went about asking him, and understand you’re reasons why. And, I hope he tries, and it seems he has.
But, damn, I like to swear. There’s that saying about not having any other vocabulary; I think it applies to me. So, I said all that to say: Anders is, or at least has been, a Dayn-Perry-level douche-bag.
I would pay real money for a chart of everyone’s original blog name, with the variations that each of those folks used. Not a lot of real money, but real money.
I really seem to need to credit someone with these posts, because oftentimes they are exceptionally funny. But then, many times they are not so funny. Goo: not funny. Pablo: not funny (so far). Deion and DP to C: they grew on me, I can’t say why, other than I’m deranged.
Bay erria steve, stop cersin and spillin right. Phaq u and you and u aint sit. I pheel very intimited by your big vocabularry. Alcholism is a relijon most cant afford. Dont poke fun at successfull fundraisers just because they beleive in the exact opposite of post betty ford. I beleive in the pre betty ford. Drunk is only until the morning.
I’d like to see Jordan lead off eventually too, but don’t forget that hitting 8th brings a few walks with it. Would he have had 12 walks if he weren’t hitting in front of the pitcher?

Frank, I’m embarrassed to say it, but no. I always thought it was Kansas City, MO., only. I always wondered why they would name a city, “Kansas City”, and then stick it in Missouri. But, at the time, I was trying to find out if there really is a “sasquatch”. The city enigma, just had to wait.

Phonetically, it goes, approximately:
talkin’ to DA SELFONE DA SELFONE…
See it? Do you see it?
You don’t see it?
How can you not see it?

I’d like to see Jordan lead off eventually too, but don’t forget that hitting 8th brings a few walks with it. Would he have had 12 walks if he weren’t hitting in front of the pitcher?
