Run Heap Run
April 21st, 20099:50 pm
Dun dun dun. Tie game.
Diaz: Cool, I’ll just make another sliding catch like I did earlier. Oh wait. Oh no! DIAZ!
Now would be an excellent time for Matt Diaz “defensive groupies” to bend over and take a paddling! SHEESH WTF WAS THAT!!!!!!!!!
I hate watching this team right now.
Our defense is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Wren and Stimpy Show
jesus…………… we cant play left field
Eric from MO
Guess we are going to blow another. Like I said before the season, the Braves are not going to the playoffs. Got ripped by many of you but guess I called it.
Geezus. What a muck of a play by Diaz. Let’s a ball skip by him to the wall. Dukes scores from first. Tie game, 3-3.
Dreadful defense in this half-inning.
KK out of the game.
Last 2 hits were on errors.
April 21st, 20099:51 pm
If we could just play the Braves 100 times a year, we’d be a contending team!
Braves finding a way to lose to the 2nd worst team in baseball. Guess who the worst is.
Bobby……..Bobby…any reason why you kept in there as long as you did…
physician on call
i have just diagnosed kawakami as having James-Reyes syndrome.
the only teatment is extended rest.
Can we sign Barry Bonds????????????????????
Btw, the MASN announcers said Chipper would have a bullseye sized bruise on his ribs tomorrow. What happened?
some more gold glove defense again tonight i see.
WTF was that from Diaz – move Kelly to LF
April 21st, 20099:52 pm
bad baserunning, bad defense, mediocre pitching, mediocre hitting… just not a very good baseball team, is it?
As long as Kelly Johnson and Matt Diaz are everyday players the Braves will not be contendors.
That to me was an error too. He didnt have to slide.
Chipper might sit because of that bruise
Braves just look for every way possible to lose…thats been a problem the last three years that will not go away. Bad news Braves.
April 21st, 20099:53 pm
Why pull Kawakami? He should have two outs with no one on. Isnt his fault.
Arky Tech. Lets further define that statement. As long as Bobby Cox is manager, Braves will not be contenders.
Bennett in the game. No outs, man at third, tie game, Florez (the Brave-killer) at the plate.
Bennett quickly ahead 0-2.
April 21st, 20099:54 pm
This team is not that good right now.
And I’m so sure that with Martin Prado and Garrett Anderson they would be.
UNBELIEVABLE – I am speechless
diaz misplaying in the field, chipper might be hurt again on a weird play, and of course jeff bennett in to pitch…. the more things happen the more they stay the same
SLOPPY SLOPPY SLOPPY!
Jesus i cant keep watching this damn team. Diaz you SUCK!
When and WHO will light a fire under these guys butts??????? This team looks lazy! Schafer needs to learn the bases, Diaz needs to learn to catch and the damn bullpen needs to learn to PITCH!
Second time that’s happened to Diaz
another stinkin game bobby blows again .. kawakami should of been out after dunn hit the home run…. manage your freqin team the right wayyyy.. and no excuse for that garbage by diaz… get swept by the freakin nationals….. goodness gracious… another lead blownnn…
Your right SOS, the Braves have never been contenders with Cox.
Bobby is gonna bring in our newest pitcher we just signed,
Throws him a cookie which is taken for strike 3.
Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez to the plate.
April 21st, 20099:55 pm
Who is in now and what is the situation? Any chance the Bravos get out without any further damage? Have the Braves gotten into their bullpen yet?
That’s two balls this year Diaz has lost in the lights. Not his best moments and unfortunately, they both could cost us games.
Here comes another one run loss on the road. Every time these goofs mess up a chance to score, the opponent always seems to score the next inning.
As an add-on to JOHN – Cox must retire
So you’re ready to claim yourself right after 13 games Eric from MO. Give me a break. We are playing like crap right now but so are alot of teams.
Suuuuuuuuuuuure, tied game, runner on 3rd, bring out the guy with the .400 oba!
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
Yes he did…and it was a beeeautiful throw!
April 21st, 20099:56 pm
Good EYE McCann!
UGAMAN – Lost in the lights? I don’t think so – he’s a AA player
Gonzalez bunts in front of the plate. Thrown out easily. 2 outs. Man still at third.
Braves should be long gone out of this inning with the lead.
Pinch hitter Willingham.
April 21st, 20099:57 pm
I aim to tease.
Willingham gets a hit to put gNats ahead 4-3.
Bad pitch by Bennett.
Did anyone here think that Bennett would NOT give up the go ahead run?
QAll the3 f’n hype about Kawakami – and i listened – shameonme – Braves are a last place team
April 21st, 20099:58 pm
Was there any doubt they were gona get a 2-out hit?
4-3 is your final, boys…..this team is LIFELESSSSSS!!!
Agree SOS and ERIC …Cox and Wren SUCK big time.Their best days have past them by.
Bennett pitched well UNTIL he just had to give it up.
Well I predicted earlier that Kawakami would give up
5 runs, 7 hits, and 5 walks.
I was close. If he pitched one more inning…
Frank from KS
Another thing the Braves are doing early that they did so much last season….is that they can’t take advantage of the team(s) in front of us when they lose on a particular night and win themselves.
April 21st, 20099:59 pm
Winterville people like you have said that for what, 4 years now. Difference is the Braves no longer know how to win like teams like the Yankees. We need to get off to a good start. The Marlins are not going to let us back in it. Winterville I hope you are around at he end of the season, because I plan on bringing this back up.
Its gonna be a lot worse than 4-3…boys.
Another hit. 1st and 2nd, 2 outs. Guys could still come back from one run down. But this mess just keeps getting worse.
April 21st, 200910:00 pm
Why Jeff Frickin Bennett is STILL on this team and not on his way to Gwinett or KC is way beyond my mind….
lagnamor —–what the heck are you talking about wren never had good days? LOL
Is anyone having trouble with mlb.tv
keep it where it is
This is unbelievable. But, here’s the thing, it sets up the Braves for some good ole’ fashioned late inning heroics! C’mon folks, let’s keep the faith. Marlins lost and the Braves can pick up some ground. Maybe Diaz will atone for his mistake. C’mon, fellas!
Nicely done Jeff Bennett, you Douchebag. His low ERA belies the fact that he has now allowed 3 of 5 inherited base runners to score and his WHIP >2. He hands a loss to Kawakami. Cretin.
Why do we have him??
Has he EVER not held a team from scoring while hes pitched this season?
The only thing Frank Wren is guilty of is not firing Bobby Cox.. Otherwise I think he’s done a good job so far.
3-0 to Nick Johnson. Bleh.
Bullpen just plain sucks…he is the best of them…and still isnt very good.
lagnamor I was being sarcastic and how can you say Wren has sucked? This is only his 2nd season and he inherited a bad team. It takes time to turn a team around.
April 21st, 200910:01 pm
They are giving Kearns a triple on that Fup by Diaz, what a joke
Hope all you Cox lover are happy.
KK seems to be a contact pitcher and not fooling anyone. I expect him to lose over 10 games this year. Not impressed with his “stuff”.
Just changed scoring…Diaz does not get error
Maybe Glavine can play left for us and underhand the ball in from LF
I meant to say ever held a team…..we all know he cant hold a team from scoring when hes in!
Instead of these new Navy alternates, why don’t we have an alternate that just says “Fail” in cursive with a tomahawk under it…
April 21st, 200910:02 pm
Hey this nationals team is pretty good….no wait, we just suck.
Ease up on Bennet, he is actually one of the few bulpen pitchers that can actually get guys out. Lookat his ERA.
Call up Hanson, Medlen, Marek – send down Carlyle, Bennett, PArr
Call up Heyward. HE is our best LF option
Tomas I am doing fine with MLBTV but I live in Missouri. May be different where you are at.
WELL I vented again. Back to Dancing with the stars – can’t watch this medicore stuff anymore
look at his BAA and WHIP
4-3…its just too much to overcome. You just can’t get behind this far against a team like the Nationals…too much too late. Everyone drive safely.
What a crock of hooey! Kearns is given a hit and Diaz not an error! Give the run to Kawakami!? Just ask Diaz.
Prime example of “home town” scoring….need to get Kearns the RBI and triple to fatten his stats
April 21st, 200910:03 pm
yes mlb.tv is doing horribly tonight….
U* go ROB – can’t do worse
MLBTV sucks tonight.,..doesn’t have the DVR feature…is it working for you Eric?
Agree – strike zone has been very unpredictable tonight.
“Ice cold,” with pointed ears if you see him on camera from back of CF, needs to learn that he’s batting 8th and has to ensure that he’s not caught on basepaths – took a lot of options away from Braves, and maybe the game.
KK hardly had a K tonight. Not really fooling anyone for more than two pitches in a row. He needs to go from K-pitcher to contact pitcher. He could pitch all night if he can make that transition.
Bennett gets an 0/1. Let a run score. Came into game in very tough spot, but he still failed.
Bennett comes back to strike out Johnson.
Murph Rocks, April 21st, 2009, 10:00 pm…This is unbelievable. But, here’s the thing, it sets up the Braves for some good ole’ fashioned late inning heroics!
My problem with this Braves team so far is that they have scored very few late inning runs. If they get down after the 6th, they don’t seem to have a chance to win.
E.O.F is coming in…
This just keeps getting better and better
i love how the moment this team sucks it up, even on one play, and the blog fills with Cox sucks, and fire Wren!
down by one and i already feel like we have lost. Do we forget how to hit 8 out of every 9 innings or is it me?
April 21st, 200910:04 pm
OMG I finally have agreed with Tomas. Other than one game Bennett has done pretty good.
George Bush has a better chance at being President again than we do of coming back from a deficit after 6 innings….
OK boys. Lets start another one run loss record on the road. The only way Bennett got an out was to preserve the one run loss.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
