Good eye! Good eye!
What the-? We’re taking pitches and making a pitcher work early! Now that’s DP to the C!
Run Heap Run
Chipper and Heap are the only guys on the team who know how to work a pitcher. Why doesn’t anyone else learn from Chipper like Heap has?
April 21st, 20098:13 pm
As Kotchman makes me eat a plate of crow.
So if we start every inning with 2 outs would we score more runs?
A DOUBLE? HOLY $HIT! Did it go over the wall?
Thattaway Krotch. Clearly the contact does not help Mac run faster.
April 21st, 20098:14 pm
See what happens when Kotchman has someone to drive in?
Coach (Skip and Pete will be missed)
LOL @ McFann 8:12
And Krotchy scored from 2nd!!
3-0! DP to the C!
April 21st, 20098:15 pm
Ha. Matt Diaz Home Run right here.
Good try Coach, but its 3-0.
Home run swing on a bad pitch to strike out is what I meant.
April 21st, 20098:16 pm
If by home run PWH, you mean swining at a pitch 2 feet outside the strike zone for a strike out then you sir, are correct.
Good Lord! Francoeur hustles down to 1st; who got in his ear? Good job.
I like Diaz and all but when he wiffs, he wiffs ugly.
April 21st, 20098:17 pm
Diaz k’s to end the inning but not before three runs score with two outs. Now, if we can just get some pitching.
I actually don’t care if Frenchy hits another homerun all year as long as he keeps hitting in the clutch like he has.
Unfortunately, I will probably live to eat those words.
If anyone else is looking for the HD on Comcast, I called, and they were helpful as usual. By that I mean they have no idea why it’s not on.
April 21st, 20098:18 pm
Diaz is a buzz kill.
Run heap run, it’s all yours. Keep the blog updated will you.
April 21st, 20098:19 pm
Why on this blog do we find poets
talentless, and happy to show it?
I’d rather debate Cox
and bunts or 3 run knocks.
Its a limerick in case you didn’t know it.

The chi of this board is really off the charts. However, according to fueng shui, the Submit Comment button should be on the right side and not the left. Just sayin….
April 21st, 20098:20 pm
C’mon heap, where’s the update?
April 21st, 20098:21 pm
Fly ball, one out. bottom of the first.
April 21st, 20098:22 pm
MLB Premium sucks this year. The just had everything going good last year with the downloadable app “Mosaic” and just had to F things up. Next year I’m going with extra innings unless this S gets fixed rather quickly.
how is he like a haiku?
5 run, 7 hit, 5 walk
ground ball to first unassisted, two down.
April 21st, 20098:24 pm
Think Kenshin’s ever faced someone as huge as Adam Dunn? Other than the first time he faced Adam Dunn, obviously.
Jeff, I feel your pain. I just went with MLB extra innings. Zimmerman doubles to the gap. runner on second, two down, Adam Dunn batting.
April 21st, 20098:25 pm
Watch out McCann. Dunn is coming for ya.
April 21st, 20098:26 pm
OK I’ve been on the phone, is Kawakami at 30 pitches yet or what?
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
Nah…you don’t wanna do that. If you anger him, you’ll have to face this.
Whoa! The Nats have seen…
April 21st, 20098:27 pm
1,2,3,4 go the Nats
Boom goes the curveball
Kawakami en fuego
Hey Carroll — while you were out on the Mall running around, did you get to stop by the future hybrid car exhibit that was being held for the Members of Congress to come and view? They had some very interesting models out there from what I was told.
Oh no way Coach, I was just joking around with ya.
April 21st, 20098:28 pm
Hard grounder to 2B, three down and the first inning is in the books. 3-0 Braves.
April 21st, 20098:29 pm
OK, I’m gonna stop rubber necking between the TV and Computer, sorry. Gonna relax and watch the game.
Somebody take up my slack
April 21st, 20098:32 pm
Carroll, has anybody ever told you that you look a lot like DOB?
Just thought I’d mention it.
April 21st, 20098:33 pm
LOL Joe Simpson. Kin-SHEEN
“Did ya know that a “jiffy” is an actual measurement of time?”
sure. It’s the time it takes to eat peanut butter sammich
April 21st, 20098:34 pm
N8 — has anyone ever seen them in the same place at the same time???
Thanks, Run Heap Run!
Yep. I guess they have. If they’re smart, they won’t do any stealing…
Not yet, he’s not.
“As Kotchman makes me eat a plate of crow.”
Some people prefer their crow as the main dish. Me? I prefer mine as a side dish. Especially when the maind dish is a nice big bowl of sad.
April 21st, 20098:35 pm
Dukes looked out!
April 21st, 20098:36 pm
Another great call from the men in blue.
I don’t think Escobar tagged him at any point.
April 21st, 20098:37 pm
Pirates beating the Fish, 3-1 in the 6th.
McFann, very funny 8:12.
April 21st, 20098:38 pm
Not….a good idea.
Yes, he did, PWH.
April 21st, 20098:40 pm
Who’s watching the game? Just got told by someone at the game that Kawakami BOWED to the Nats catcher? Anyone catch that?
Also, can I get some game updates? I’m sitting in class. Thanks friends.
April 21st, 20098:41 pm
Didn’t see it but more likely Kawakami was bowing to the umpire…just a sign of respect
April 21st, 20098:42 pm
Eek. Could be 2-0 with no outs. Thanks again, Dukes.
Kawakami’s getting hit pretty hard. Runner on 2nd 1 out 3-1 score.
Murph Rocks, don’t think I ran close enough to the capitol to see that exhibit. I was more about the Jefferson Memorial and ole Abe today. But maybe tomorrow I’ll get a closer peek.
And yes on the 2-for-2 in rain delays. What’s that about?
April 21st, 20098:43 pm
Well, at least KJ was able to “touch” the ball.
I just don’t like Kawakami. He reminds me of Campillo.
April 21st, 20098:44 pm
You don’t like Campillo?
was does Kawakami keep flexing his shoulder
Yeah, I sort of agree Rob. It doesn’t look like he can over power anybody with that average FB, and the curve just doesn’t seem to fool major league hitters.
April 21st, 20098:45 pm
Do you hold your breath everytime Kelly Johnson goes for a ball? Yeah, me too.
April 21st, 20098:46 pm
It’s early, but it is tough to be impressed by Kenshin.
I have a bad feeling that we threw 24 mil away
apparently the braves are not the only team that can’t bunt
I like watching Kawakami work.
April 21st, 20098:47 pm
Thank you for clearing that up, CABraves.
Kelly scares me to death. I truly believe that the only reason why the Braves don’t put him in LF now is because Heyward will be ready next year.
KJ is butter fingers and the Atlanta brass don’t want to admit they wasted everyone’s time with the outcome of this phony second baseman!
That said, of course I prefer him in left field and like his offense.
April 21st, 20098:48 pm
Kawakami pitches like he is afraid of contact
44 pitches thru 2, early night for the pen
April 21st, 20098:50 pm
Thanks, Tom O’Hawke!
Great throw by BMac to nab that guy at third! First guy he’s caught this year!
What is the deal with the pitch counts? Can our pitchers not have 8-12 pitch innings? I realize the Nationals are a very patient team..but come on.
April 21st, 20098:51 pm
Jim Bunning has a no-hitter and a perfect game on his resume, which is cited by more than a few Kentuckians as a reason why they vote for him.
April 21st, 20098:52 pm
Former Brave Joey Devine had Tommy John surgery today – done for the year.
chipper to the DL
Blaine Boyer, the Lead Destroyer
I like Kawakami. He can mix it up with his variety of pitches, but I can see why some of you would disagree. I don’t think he’s quite settled in yet.
I certainly don’t believe we gave away 24 mil.
April 21st, 20098:53 pm
Make him pay, Chipper.
Do I smell another DL stint for Chipper?
Hit Heap Hit
April 21st, 20098:54 pm
Yikes. I was just about to ask.
April 21st, 20098:56 pm
The Chipper’s next freak injury watch is nerve wracking.
April 21st, 20098:57 pm
Uh oh. Chipper’s toes have been officialy trifled with this season.
April 21st, 20098:58 pm
BTW, McFann, was that picture, you showed before, of the Rally Turtle or your personal bodyguard?
April 21st, 20098:59 pm
Wow, I’m glad we didn’t use Kenshin in Citizens’ Bank Park.
brent a-As a 13 year old, I watched that Perfect Game on TV. Beat the Mets 6-0. That can’t be bad. Saw Randy Johnson’s on TV, too.
April 21st, 20099:00 pm
I have to say, this blog is much more enjoyable tonight. You guys are actually talking baseball and not the sky falling. Refreshing.
You know, one of the few pluses about following a game on gameday is that I can’t see Chipper come up lame or cringe and watch the season flash before my eyes every few days.
Can we get a ghostrunner for him when he gets on or something?
April 21st, 20099:02 pm
I thought it was Milton Bradley with the music sunglasses..not Manny?
Nice grab by Matty.
Great catch Matty!!!!
Nice job there MattE!
Great catch, Diaz! Way to get double pits to chesty with it!
April 21st, 20099:03 pm
Nice plays from both Schafer and Diaz that inning.
Things are looking up.
I give the credit to Bobby.
Loaf would be in the nursing home for the rest of his life if he’d tried that.
April 21st, 20099:04 pm
Nice catch by Diaz.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
