Rob in Mobile

This is pitiful, folks. The last few years, it’s the same thing, with a constantly changing cast of characters. Poor fundamentals. Not moving people over. Not driving them in in clutch situations. Getting their runs early, then coasting the rest of the way, only to have their pitching (or defense) let them down. Another one-run loss. A listless dugout, with a ho-hum approach to the game, despite what Matt Diaz says. The results speak for themselves. We need new blood in that dugout, and I’m not talking about Ned Yost. There needs to be some fire, and the only way to rectify this problem is not to look for old Braves alumni who think like Bobby Cox. Where the Braves look, I don’t know. But what’s there right now isn’t working, and unfortunately, this team is so attuned to the status quo I really don’t see any change. This could be another long year.

Does Norton have a hit this year? Kelly Johnson is once again Mr. Hot and Cold. Starts off hitting everything and now well. Braves keep shooting themselves in the foot. Errors, bad baserunning, bad fundamental baseball. Recipe for disaster. Pitching wasn’t bad. I don’t think its the coaching. Mentally these guys just aren’t there as baseball players.
