I think Chipper better starts hitting for extrabases instead of all these singles. Jammed or not, all these singles haven’t been good lately, since our other hitters have struggled to drive him home.

We’ve got to be better than we’ve been so far. We got off to some pretty skanky starts back in the 90s, but things would ultimately turn-out rosy. Maybe it’ll turn around soon this time. Too early to lose hope; I mean, my gawd, it’s still April….

Thats true but those teams new how to win. For 3 years we have just been like well they just ran the bases wrong, or they jus made an error. You know what I believe, they just dont know how to close the deal. In the past the Braves didnt always have the best teams in the East but they knew how to do the small things and how to win games. This team doesnt. Even Chipper said in ST this team had to get off to a good start. They cant say its only April or its only May because this team don know how to come back.

That ball wasn’t hit that hard. It just had a lot of spin. If it had been hit hard, that ball could have gone anywhere.

Dribbler past Gonzo. Looks like the Hernandez is safe. But, they’re calling it a foul ball of H’s foot. Still 2 out and a man on first.

Folks, the Braves are a pretty good team. Their only weaknesses are they can’t hit, they can’t catch the ball, they can’t run the bases, their bullpen is suspect at best, and their starting rotation is not living up to expectations. Other than that, they are OK.

Eric from MO, get a grip? What did I say that wasn’t true? Kawakami has given up a homerun in every start. And Lowe, even with the two rain delay starts has walked a lot of batters. And Kawakami was brought over as a control guy, and he has been anything but. Last I checked every game counts…even the ones in April. And if you are truly a Braves fan you would agree that this team performs best when they get out to an early lead. If the opposing team comes back and takes the lead, the game is pretty much over especially after six innings. Sure, we may get 200 innings out of the pitchers this year, but you would have to agree they are not pitching their best baseball right now. And we trail the Marlins by five games already.

After the Nats went ahead in the sixth I really felt like the game was over. Between the bad bullpen and the poor hitting I have no faith in this team right now. It’s just not much fun to be a Braves fan right now.

Also, good call earlier from Chop It Up All Star who commented on the starts inability to go deep into games. That was suppose to be the trademark of this new rotation but besides Lowe on opening day have we had a starter go 8 innings or even 7? Even the other day when Vazquez was dealing, he only went 6 innings. Maybe they will comeback and win this game but I really don’t think so.
