I turned to ESPN because honestly I dont what happens tonight with the Braves. Yankee stadium was EMPTY and I wish the Atlanta fans would stay away also. To show ownership we wont just show up for any crap like previous years. Screw that Toonland and giant cow!!!
WE WANT A NEW MANAGER AND WINNING TEAM AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
STAY AWAY BRAVES FANS AND QUIT BUYING INTO THIS CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, Moylan got strike three on Dukes. Alas, the umpire has changed the strike zone again. Ball 4, Dukes to first.
so…does anyone know to program in microsoft visual basic 2008?
The Wren and Stimpy Show
Only the Braves could come to town and get the nationals on a winning streak WTF.
April 21st, 200910:20 pm
Has Bennett ever come in with men on base, no one scores? He has a low era, but his batting average against has to be really high.
OK. Cox is just a great HOF manager. We can tell by his superb bullpen management.
Hey, now my comments are getting chomped!

Sullyzzz I meant the Braves sh!tty bullpen. Not the Nats sh!tty bullpen.lol
With the terrible start we have had this season, the bullpen woes, and all the trashing of the Nats on this site and throughout with MLB fans, you must admit that the Nats have a SOLID lineup with very few holes. If Guzman wasn’t injured, he would be the lead-off. It is a great offensive line-up.
Run Heap Run

Kel – I know VB 06…not sure how much different the 08 version is.
Nice inning from Moylan.
Also, Kearns is a bum.
Moylan is a stud! I have an idea…McCann should refer Diaz to his eye doctor…then he would see that the pitch in the left hand batters box is a ball…and the shots to left field…are catchable.
Kearns must have felt sorry for Moylan not getting that strike out of Dukes. So, he swings at ball 4 in the LH batters box and finishes a good inning for Moylan.
If we can’t score against this team, I give up. We need runs, and we need them this inning. 1-2-3 basically means game over.
Go Braves! Let’s get some… RUNS!!!
Eric from MO
OK. You’re right, I’m wrong. I’m just gonna cut off my TV and find something else to do. Thanks for telling me now so I didn’t waste 6 months of my life on the team that I support win or lose.
April 21st, 200910:23 pm
We suck. Period.
Oh….I apologize Eric; but you are correct….the Nats have a pathetic bullpen.
sullyzz the nats lineup is about as solid as the braves bullpen and clutch hitting.
I don’t know how many more times I can watch that cheesy Columbus “This is my team” commercial
sully, you make me laugh!
April 21st, 200910:24 pm
Alright Heap HR coming right up.
If we lose 2 in a row to the Nats, we should be kicked out of the NL.
The Nats a great offensive lineup? Lol…you have to be smoking pot. The Nationals cant score runs.
1995-Yankee stadium was EMPTY and I wish the Atlanta fans would stay away also. To show ownership we wont just show up for any crap like previous years.
One Yankee stadium still has more fans than Turner on a good day. Two that would just mean ownership would cut the payroll. Good Idea!! God your a moron.
After Chipper walks…
Chop Chop….so you wouldn’t want to replace any of your OF with Kearns? I am glad we have him. There have been rumors that the Yankees are trying to trade for him.
April 21st, 200910:25 pm
Good job, Mr. Pardo
rob from sc
if only that happened last inning
Hit by Chipper! Not an RBI
mlb.tv is sucking tonight…i missed whole half inning
Hey, guys- suck it up and stop being so negative. GO BRAVES!
(PS MLB.com is sucking for me tonight too)
Chipper gets the hit that would have scored a run last inning had Prado not punked it.
Ok Heap HR coming up here..
Random, sorry about that, I must’ve been confused. For some reason, after 11:10 p.m., my mental acuity becomes somewhat diminished. (Some would argue that it starts a lot earlier than that.)
Chop It Up All-star
What happened to all these starters we signed in the off-season that were suppose to be able to pitch 200 plus innings? All these quote un quote control pitchers that pitched to contact?
With the exception of Vasquez, who has been pretty good, Kawakami has been consistent (every outing, expect him to give up a homerun, and throw a lot of pitches for 5 to 6 innings), and Lowe has had one good start and a lot of walks.
Of course my biggest problem with this team is that if they fall behind they hardly ever seem to find a way to come back and win the game. The Phillies do it, the Mets do it, Florida does it, hell even Washington does it, but if the Braves can’t get out to an early lead and hold it, most nights you can write it up as a loss. I think tonight is one of those nights – but I’ll keep watching hoping I’m wrong.
April 21st, 200910:26 pm
And when I say here I mean “sometime this week”.
The Blind Man hits a rope to second. 1 out. Really bad luck there.
There goes Chipper!
Alright Krotch, this is your night. Make it effing happen.
April 21st, 200910:27 pm
I wouldn’t want to replace any of our OF with Kearns, sullyzz. Dude’s getting $8 million this year, and for what?
wait a minute why are we not bunting bobby? Isnt that what you do with a guy on first and your better hitters at the plate?
MFin anytime someone scores 4 runs, regardless if its the Braves or an opponent, you know someone is going to say that have a great offensive lineup.
Alllright Chipper. That bouncer off his oblique doesn’t look like it had any lasting effects it appears. After the game tonight, it you connect all his bruises with a marker, you’ll have a portrait of a 10-pt. buck, kinda like a temporary tatoo.
GD! I cannot believe the ump just called that a strike. Is this a Washington bail out or something? The gNats haven’t won enough games, let’s give them some extra strikes.
Is lonnie Smith our base running coach?
Could Careless this year .
Just another lost by the Brave’s what else is new huh
Positive comments have not helped the last 3 years or this year. Has it? Its called reality.
for all you moe-rons calling for cox firing, considering bc sits on the board of directors hed have to fire himself.
get a real grip it aint happening
I cant watch this.
It’s all on you, French fry.
April 21st, 200910:28 pm
Carroll, who has left early..what is our record in one run games..
error, bad base running
finding ways to lose, this stinks
Well, it’s Frenchy time!
If Frenchy doesn’t come through…
We get, wait for it, Diaz, Schafer, and Norton to save the day! We can’t lose!
April 21st, 200910:29 pm
MFin04….the Nats are averaging almost 5 runs a game….I’ll take that anyday. The problems with the Nats have been pitching; primarily the Bullpen. So no, I am not smoking pot.
Well, Julian Tavarez is in. There’s still hope…
This team seems like ‘08,
As they gag and they choke at the plate,
They score early on,
Then sit on their throne,
Waiting to lose the game late.
This is depressing…anyone feel silly thinking the Braves might actually score? I keep hoping then they hit weak fly balls…and I come back to reality.
Impressed with Elijah Dukes. If Nats can keep him out of trouble/jail, they might have something. Kasten should hire a full-time bodyguard/babysitter for the guy until he settles down. Strong and fast.
April 21st, 200910:30 pm
Hey couldcareless, I feel it is my civic duty to show you this…
Chop your only 2 and a half week in the season. Get a grip. Lowe and Vazquez will pitch 200 innings. Also Kawakami was never considered an innings eater. Just figued he would be a good 4th starter. Give him time, he has only had 3 starts and won one, its early. Also one of Lowe’s was a rain delay. Otherwise he would of had another win.
April 21st, 200910:31 pm
Vintage Frenchy there…
Jim— did you see how that method worked out for Pacman Jones in Dallas?
Oh, that hurts…
These 1-10 Nationals only needed some Braves to get going.
2 pitches and inning over… bravoooo… we suckk…
April 21st, 200910:32 pm
Don’t ya love it when the announcers say, “first pitch swinging” and the player makes an out? Oh wait. I guess not if its the Braves as usual!
At least its NFL Draft weekend for the Falcon’s that’s somethine to look forward too .The Brave’s really blow rigth now
Wow 5 runs a game? Thats a lot…what’s your record? No crap you are averaging that many…when…you give up as many as you do.
Run Heap Run- not much different from what I gather. Do you have a couple of minutes to spare a fellow blogger some help or no?
Limerick Larry. There was an old Cox from Stanpool who discovered red spots on his mule. Said the Doctor to the cynic, get out of my clinic, just wife off the lipstick YOU FOOL.
We’ve got to be better than we’ve been so far. We got off to some pretty skanky starts back in the 90s, but things would ultimately turn-out rosy. Maybe it’ll turn around soon this time. Too early to lose hope; I mean, my gawd, it’s still April….
April 21st, 200910:33 pm
wow we lose 2 out of 3 to the pirates and now its gonna be 2 or maybe swept by the nationals.. just shameful and embarrassing.. 6-8 and falling fast…
The season may be a long way from over and the Braves certainly aren’t out of anything…..but they sure are stinking up the field the last week plus. Good grief, they are even making the Nationals look like a solid team.
Sorry. I’m delirious. Going to bed. Happy to read about another loss tomorrow.
Did Gonzalez get demoted to 8th inning?
Gonzo in non-save situation…not good…not good at all.
“we are the dumbest team in baseball” – Rob from SC.
April 21st, 200910:34 pm
Well, we won the wildcard in the Grapefruit League this year, anyway.
FW did an awesome job rebuilding our Rotation. He must of forgot about the pen though. They can’t get out of a wet paper sack if they tried too. It’d be nice if we could finish off our lead that we have to finish teams off. Finish the Drill baby!!!
Gonzalez comes in and strikes out Flores on three pitches.
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
Sure. If they’re still playing when I go up, you cann barrow them…just this once.
OK…I’m ready for McCann to start hitting again. I haven’t seen him get a hit (live) since my b-day…
I know, I gotta cut him some slack ’cause of his eye thing, but that’s partly why it’s got me so–for lack of a better word–heartbroken.
Jim, Dukes has done very well off the field, even though he was just fined $500, taken out of the starting lineup, and threatened to be sent to Triple A…..all because he was 5 minutes late to work on Saturday. The reason he was late? For going to a little league opening ceremony to sign autographs and give a speech to 54 teams of little league players.
April 21st, 200910:35 pm
It’s amazing how this team can make me go from happy to miserable in a matter of a few innings. I’d say that says more about me than the team…but, somehow, it’s definitely the Braves’ fault.
They’re like the NL East bedpan…everyone craps all over them.
What’s up with Gonzalez on the mound? He looks like Leo Mazzone!
Diaz, Schafer, Norton
Don’t worry guys, we’ll rally in the ninth inning!
Some people shout “get a grip,”
As the Bravos shoot blanks from the hip.
Cheer all you can,
Shouting, “Bobby ’s the man,”
But the Bravos still scoring zip!
April 21st, 200910:36 pm
G walks the next guy.
Belliard to pinch hit.
Let’s call up Tommy Hanson sooner, rather than later, so we can have something to be excited about in May. Bring Medlen with him.
I don’t think it’s so much that we’re dumb as that we’re just not that talented. Either way (stupidity or lack of talent), it’s hard to fix, I’m guessing.
April 21st, 200910:37 pm
Is that really who is coming up?
Have you never seen Gonzo pitch? That’s the way he works
Ahead of Belliard 0-2. Could use a DP here.
G. playing catch with Kotchman.
Gonzo in a non-save situation…Cox is just a mother f-ing Genius….
April 21st, 200910:38 pm
MFin04, yes, 5 runs a game, and we definitely need them because our bullpen SUCKS! I am not bragging about it, just pointing out that we have a good lineup offensively. BTW, our record is 2-10; worst in MLB.
Yet another strike three called a ball. Bad throw on a stolen base attempt. Runner to third.
