That was a mistake. Diaz always crushes mistakes. The catcher was set up about 8 inches higher than that ball was.

Bam, Mr. Zimmerman, meet Mr. Diaz (Br’r Rabbit). Mr. Diaz, while unorthodox, can handle most any pitch, especially if you think you are outsmarting him–you aren’t.

MattE-D might Be put in a role Similiar to Pat Burrell of last year, especially if GA stays Injured….
Use MattE-D from innings 1-7 and use B. Jones as a defensive replacement in the later innings…
I don’t see GA beiing on the Team after June…I’m Not Hating on Him but He strickly looks like a DH at this point in his career…

cabravesfan, yeah, he’s not only a good hitter, he seems as though he’s a hell of a nice person. I wish he would play more. Bobby gave him a chance last year, but he didn’t do well in the beginning, and then he got hurt. It wouldn’t bother me, too much, if Garret had to rest for a while.

not really. Chipper had 500+ AB at .249 one year, that’s more ABs that Marteen’s MLB totals and obviously meant nothing. Plus there is the different ways that their S& are affected. Prado’s S% is somewhat dependent on his BA while Kelly’s is affected more by actual extra base production. Why don’t you look up their isolated power figures?

Carroll– no prob. If you get an itch for some sweet tea back home, head across the river to Arlington to Red, Hot and Blue. It’s not great BBQ, but it’s the best in the DC-area, and certainly the only place you’ll find sweet tea.
And if you’re staying out and about, head over to Ford’s Theater. Few folks rarely get over there and fewer still go across the street to where Pres. Lincoln actually passed. Amazing stuff is all around that city. I do miss it sometimes.

The basepath belongs to the runner in a rundown, whereas a runner doesn’t own the basepath if he nails a fielder trying to field a batted ball.
Fielder can place himself in the path of the runner when trying to receive a throw, but once the throw is past him (ie to a fielder behind him or in this case off Ross’ head) he must vacate the basepath and not park there looking stunned like the Nationals SS did. The fielder is NOT allowed to impede the progress of the baserunner once the above examples exist.
